Of course they didn't, but they neither finished their game and push out a finished product. If I'd wait till the game is ready, I would buy this in 2040, and still this game would be a buggy and unfinished game :D Also, this doesn't have much to do with the original subject. I have now wandered in the empty forests and villages of Chernarus for the last 6 months, and have had maybe five cool incidents. I have given this a lot of time, and occasionally complained here, but the situation doesn't seem to improve. I have my right to complain. Isn't that the whole purpose of pre-release crap? People complain and devs listen and fix the problem. That's the only good thing in pre-released games.

I try, I try a lot. I walk millions of miles and then finally I come here and make a thread how I can't find anything even remotely interesting. Well, I think I should go more south, I usually end up roaming around in the north.
-
It doesn't anymore because I'm just delighted I see at least someone. Well, it might be that I've just become more calm person, since before I got very nervous. I had a long break I didn't play DayZ at all.
-
No, I'm upset because there's not these random and funny events and encounters happening anymore. Or there is, but extremely rarely. For example Mukaparska runs to a guy and the guy tries to kill him and Mukaparska runs and encounters another guy who kills the other one and then someone shoots us both. Also, ctie I've seen at least some activity are Berezino and the old NE town I never remember. I actually had two of my most recent encounters there, both were bambis.

Well, running in the nature and exploring the map is actually pretty "fun", and when I started playing DayZ during the last christmas, I enjoyed it a lot. But basically doing that for a year just tends to get pretty boring. Yeah, sometimes I indeed see someone and even it leads to something semi-interesting, but it's not really worth it, especially recently when it happens like once in a week.
-
People are spread all over the map so now there's one guy per square kilometer. lol But I could try playing in the 50 player servers, I didn't know they even exist. i highly doubt it will make a difference.
-
That doesn't change the fact it has become extremely boring. It's actually developer's fault for releasing their games in pre-alpha state. I hope the trend will go away in the next few years.
-
Haven't seen anyone there either for a while. I remember last summer how I did a similar test in a building opposite of the town hall and camped there. I don't remember how much I waited, but then I saw a guy entering on top of the town hall and I shot him right in the head. He never knew what hit him.
-
No it doesn't. It makes it even more tempting to become a serial killer if all you see is one bambi in a decade. Why would you just leave it be after wasting hours running around? Well, I always do that and ruin all the little fun I could have. I actually liked when people spawned on the coast. You always knew there was people, and inland actually had some loot. The main road was like a highway where lone travellers made their endless journeys. There was that one intersection in SE with a green house, a white house (not White House) and a road to inland, which was like a checkpoint and there was usually always someone. Not anymore... All dead and abandoned.

Because I just tested it. If everyone are running in circle, no one can find anyone, but if I'll stop, someone will eventually run at me. Well, they didn't.
-
Well yeah, the captain of that ship is responsible for most kills in DayZ :P
-
Did I say that? Most of the time all I do is run from place A to place B usually inland. Does an encounter mean PVP for you? Most encounters there's some bambi waving at me and continuing his doings, or another one asking me to kill him because he broke his leg. Only place where I regularly see guys is the NW airstrip, but i don't necessarily want to die by a full geared player. I mean, it's a "shoot everything that moves"-location. The game is just utterly boring. They should rename it to "Hiking simulator" and remove the zombies.

I'm sorry I used so many "I"-letters, because I'm not used to use anything else but I.

I started playing DayZ after a long time (It was just updated to 0.47 when I stopped playing) yesterday, and FPS in cities had greatly decreased. It was pretty low before as well, but still playable. Now it's nearly unplayable. Maybe around 10-15 when it used to be maybe 20-25. Why is this?

Eating and drinking system - Please, just give it up.

Yeah. Take away the diseases as well, they are annoying. This is not any ebola simulator. Oh and the looting is waste of time, I think everyone should have a gun at the beginning. This new "cold" system sucks as well, it's not like a survival game should be about getting cold. It's annoying you lose your stuff every time you die, I think this should be like GTA where you only lose money when you die. And please, make the map smaller so we can shoot each others, it's ridiculous this world is all empty. And a ranking system is also a must. -

4gb of RAM? When I had 4gb of RAM, DayZ didn't even start. It crashed and sometimes crashed my whole computer. -

It's a known fact DayZ works like piece of shit with AMD products. When I first started playing DayZ, my FPS was maybe like 5, but thankfully there was these tutorials how to edit those specific files so FPS increased drastically. -

It's a possibility CS:GO has made me a picky piece of shit... -
But will it make the game boring if you see people every corner? The best thing about DayZ is the feeling when you actually see someone after a long time and wonder is he friendly or not. Well, to be honest, I wish I could see someone more than twice in a week, and someone with some gear more than twice in a month.
-
Either the game lags/bugs/glitches the fuck out, or they have the godmode on. The real way of playing this game is to get ammo and guns for no reason, and eat and drink from time to time. This brings up a question: Why play this game at all?
-
That's what my friend have been saying too. I guess it's just the fuckery of this game... I've had situations where others can't do shit against me despite having full advantage.
