    On the Coast
  1. The difference between an empty server and one with only two people on it is negligible; it would still be very hard to find that other player, so playing on that server would be boring. There has to be a way to confirm that I'm on a server with at least a certain amount of people on it so I know I can find people.
  2. Hiding server population would then introduce the problem of being the only person on a server and not knowing. So you're walking around looking to interact with other players but never find anyone. Although, I do agree that something should hinder people from gearing up on low pop servers all care free, sprinting across airfields and what not. Maybe servers less than a certain percent full, say 50%, could hide their exact population? That way people can find high pop servers no problem, but joining a low pop server isn't as safe anymore because there could very well be 19 people already on it. This would make it much harder to server hop and loot balota 50 times.

    Foliage render issue

I'm having issues with foliage rendering really close to my character, so moving around in wooded areas looks really bad. I've messed with many settings to no avail so I'm hoping someone can help me out. I made a quick video of the issue here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LJqsitMYYo&feature=youtu.be You can see the plant right in front of me is changing, and this happens all over the place so it looks ridiculous when I'm sprinting through a forest. Here are my current config files: DayZ.cfg 3D_Performance=100000;adapter=-1;Windowed=0;Resolution_W=1920;Resolution_H=1080;winX=0;winY=0;winW=1920;winH=1080;winDefW=1920;winDefH=1080;Resolution_Bpp=32;refresh=60;Render_W=1920;Render_H=1080;FSAA=3;postFX=0;GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1;GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1;HDRPrecision=16;lastDeviceId="";localVRAM=2088751104;nonlocalVRAM=2147483647;vsync=1;AToC=0;SWLayersCount=32;PipQuality=0;PPAA=0;ssaoEnabled=0; User.cfg: version=2;blood=1;singleVoice=0;anisoFilter=16;TexQuality=4;TexMemory=4;useWBuffer=0;tripleHead=0;useExtendetInfoType=1;sceneComplexity=1000000;shadowZDistance=200;viewDistance=1500;preferredObjectViewDistance=1000;terrainGrid=50;gamma=1.0075253;bloom=0.84779173;rotblur=0;brightness=0.99881148;fovTop=0.75;fovLeft=1.3333334;uiTopLeftX=0.23750001;uiTopLeftY=0.15000001;uiBottomRightX=0.76249999;uiBottomRightY=0.85000002;IGUIScale=0.69999999;headBob=0;mouseSensitivityX=1.0040991;mouseSensitivityY=1;floatingZoneArea=0;fov=1.0735291;volumeCD=6.5;volumeFX=8.5;volumeSpeech=5.5;volumeVoN=6.5;vonRecThreshold=0.029999999; Let me know if I should include more information. Thanks for any help!
