Alright, after 6,000 hours of DayZ on official and modded servers, I'm now encountering my first serious issue which I haven't been able to fix by myself. Here's what happened: Me and a friend have been on Skalisty Island, and after swimming back to the coast, I wanted to make a fire to warm up and dry our clothes. I crafted a fireplace from a rag and a few short sticks and tried to ignite it with matches I had stored in a protective case. During the ignite animation my character got stuck somehow, I was just walking/running on the spot without getting forward. So I decided to do a relog. I left the server and tried to rejoin about a minute later, and I got the message "CONNECTING FAILED (0x0001001) Could not connect to the server because it is unreachable" The interesting part about it: Friends are still able to play on the server. One of my buddies was even right next to me when my character got stuck. Right now he's again playing on the server, along with some other friends. So the server just seems to be unreachable for me. I can join ANY other server without any issues, except the one I'm getting this error message from. Of course I've tried everything, from verifying the game files up to a complete fresh install of the game. Nothing what I've tried so far solved this issue. Anyone able to help in that case? I'm deeply grateful for any idea helping to solve my problem.

Ok, I didn't play DayZ for some months now, started again some days ago. I still have my fully geared hardcore and normal characters, but what about these servers with "Persistence enabled" or similar names? If I try to enter any of them, I'm a fresh spawn. Returning to a normal or hardcore server gives me back my old characters. Does that mean that we have now a 3rd character slot when playing on these "persistence" servers? And second question: Can someone provide me with a link what it's about with this persistence thingy in general? Browsed a bit through forums, but couldn't find something significant. Yo, survivors, 2 days ago I lost my round box full of 7,62mm rounds for my mosin due to a bug, since then I'm trying to find any new ammo for it, but I couldn't find a single bullet so far. Before that I didn't play DayZ for like 2 months, and back at that time I found the 7,62mm in huge amounts on the NW Airfield. Now I've checked like 50 different servers, many of them fresh started, but as said, I couldn't find any mosin ammo. Neither in barracks, nor in ACT or hangars. Any ideas about where I can find it now?

Yo folks, yesterday I logged off in the school building (for those who don't know which one I'm talking about, it's this one: I logged off in 2nd floor in the room where the gun spawn is. Today I logged in and my character spawned on ground floor in a room right next to the one with the shelves. It's a locked room, with no way out. So yeah, I'm basically stuck in there, and I'd like to know if there's any way to get out. I really appreciate any kind of help. Thanks in advance.

It was definately not an Assault Vest. When that guy had his inventory open and was hovering the cursor over the vest, I clearly could real Tactical Vest, he even spoke about it on the stream, but he didn't tell where he got it from.

I'm talking about the tac vest I've linked above. The one with 8 slots of item capacity.

According to DayZ-wikia the tactical vest has been removed from the game. Source: http://dayz-standalone.wikia.com/wiki/Tactical_vest I don't know how up-to-date this information is, but if it's true, I'm wondering about something: I use to watch a guy's stream, in his livestream yesterday that guy got killed. When I joined his stream today, he was again fully geared (well, he has an own server, so I'm not wondering about that), but he was wearing a tactical vest, as well as 2 of his mates he was playing with. So how can it be that these guys are all having a tac vest, when it should be removed from the game. And also, if it's not removed, where does it spawn? In more than 300 hours of playtime I've never seen it.

Any more ideas about how to solve this? Even a complete fresh windows setup didn't solve the problem :(

No, I haven't changed any files at all. I even tried a fresh reinstall of the game, but the problem still exists.

Hey survivors, I was wondering on what the range of sight depends. As you can see in this screenshot, I can't see any building behind the railroad station building, whereat a friend of mine can see all buildings up to the coast. http://imgur.com/pgkaQOA We both have same video settings, so this doesn't seem to be the reason. Any ideas what causes this problem? Thanks in advance

I recently read a rumor in a german DayZ forums, that you can notice if there are enemies nearby you in game (by pressing "P" and checking bandwidth of other players). Me and a friend were standing like 5m away from each other, our bandwidth had a difference of like 10-20. The more he was then walking away from me, the higher got the difference between our bandwidths. We tried that on different servers, at different times of the day, in 90% of all cases it was always same result. The closer we were standing together, the less was the difference between our bandwidths. Do you guys think that there's any truth in this rumor, or just coincidence?

Well, as title says, I'd like to know the time when it gets dark ingame and when it gets bright again (I'm talking about server time, not real life) :D

Well, I was playing with some mates on a server, when I got a game crash. I rejoined them via steam friendslist, but when I spawned my character was like he died, I started completely new with nothing on a random spawnpoint. Any idea what caused this and how to solve the problem?
