1-4) It's Chernarus, new maps will come if the game hits "stand alone". 5) There already is, it's just really complicated. 6) Happend to me as well, try to avoid zombies. How often are characters saved exactly?

I cannot decode what avarsetarve said so I will say something to it myself. It depends on many things: Your movement, the server, Hive and bugs. If you move (especially in a bike or car) the chances of saving are really low (some people weren't saved for over 5 minutes). But on normal circumstances, once every 5-60 seconds. -

Try a different server; click on the "Take" button on the bottom right hand. Reinstall the game entirely. -

Get a dedicated graphics card and you will be totally fine. Without it you will have major lag and low fps in most cases.

The weird thing though, "(Friendly Fire)" normally means you killed someone in the debug zone.

It is a known bug, tents do not spawn correctly after a server restart sometimes. It could be fixed after another one.

As it is a mobile CPU, you won't be able to change it anyway. At least you should never upgrade it (more heat will destroy the laptop). If he want's to buy a real computer an i3 2130 should do the trick. -

The CPU is too slow (2130MHz). Minimum is 2,4GHz (and that is for ArmA 2 OA so add zeds and objects to it). -

It is called DayZ and we are "testers" but we are also "players". This is a mod of a game in alpha... so it's kind of a game non'theless. I do not want to say you cannot name other people whatever you want, but why do you inform us? -

If you do not know that, you are not connected to it. You cannot run a server on your computer whatsoever. You need to buy a dedicated server (something physical, pretty expensive) and get in contact with the DayZ team. -
This will come later... Until then, it should be toggleable. People who like the full immersion can go to the ones without, all the other can go and have fun on the ones with. (Reminder: We already have that with 3rd person, crosshair and name tags... so why not?) That's the easiest solution and nobody get's butthurt.

Download ArmA 2 Free and run the benchmarks. Post the results here. One thing: Do not upgrade to a quad core, ArmA 2 can only use two cores. Go for the highest clock speed (yours is fine though).

You paid for the "Alienware" it's the same as with other brands... you have to pay more to get the same with a logo.

As I said, you will not be able to get in the playable range. I have a Q6700 (4x 2,66GHz) and I get 40-50fps outside of towns and 15-25 inside them. I also tried many things to achieve this. One thing for the future, don't buy Alienware computers or any pre-build computers. Put the money in better components and you will be fine.

While BF3 uses 4 cores, ArmA 2 can only use 2. You are far below the minimum requirements. There is no fix, that will make the game playable (over 30fps). Just run all three benchmarks though. Let's see what you got there.
