Agreed. They come with mags when purchased and there is no logical reason for them to not be included from a real world scenario - outside of a different part of the same facility. I do think many should be empty of ammo though. That name and avatar are just.....wow....

WARNING: Do not kneel near Zombies.
makomachine replied to pacific_coast's topic in General Discussion
You met the zed with a can opener - one shot lunch - BRAINNNSSSS!!!!! -
Don't be ashamed - just say you killed them. It's the 'only course of action' comment that is the problem. You had others - you elected to shoot them - it's a sandbox, do as you like. People are just highly touchy around the acronym that we must not say, be bold...

What kind of Server event would you like to see and particpate in?
makomachine replied to Thaurus's topic in General Discussion
A proper football event with pig roasting. Clothing optional.... -
Anyone think the hunting/cooking patch might ACTUALLY come out today?
makomachine replied to Slyguy65's topic in General Discussion
Working on them and committing to them in any release or timeframe are two different things. The only thing I'm certain of is that this forum will light up with complaints about WHATEVER is released next patch and if we don't get one today. -
When we have more Zeds, things should change. (After all the fixes of course). The "enemy of my enemy" position will become more prevalent at that point - and people will have other areas to point their bang sticks at.... Until then, agree that it's a mad world. I view the current game like I think the first part of the apocalypse would happen - disorganization, chaos, protecting your own, and very little 'work together'. Once the Zeds become the greatest threat, people have to work in groups or die - you'll then see people start being more open to human risks. Although they will always be risks... Thanks for the well thought out post and I hope the development of the game down the road creates a better environment for you to play in the sandbox!

Aradia's Playstyle Poll: Featuring TOOOOOONS of Options!
makomachine replied to hannibaldaplaya's topic in General Discussion
Nice poll - sly survivor here. If I'm engaged I view that as likely a mistake on my part. I play as I would in the real world - avoid firefights and survive. I'm not friendly either - nobody can really be trusted in this phase of the apocalypse. This seems to me to be early hours, looting, civil unrest, and disorganization being the theme. Desperate people doing desperate things. When the Zeds are even more a threat, what few survivors left will have no choice but to work together in groups. At that point, I shift strategies. Until then, keep your head down and survive. -
Easy enough to find at NWAF - and probably as safe as meeting someone for a trade. I find them regularly there...

what server? -
I know, but he doesn't have my options - and I like my options being the less popular types... :)

Hopefully soon, with hunting and some of the new additions right around the corner, some of the survival elements will become more appealing. We are a ways away from what you had envisioned I'm afraid (its what I had envisioned by the way), and nothing wrong with taking a break in a game early in development. Stay close to the releases and hopefully we'll all get that finished sandbox that's appealing to play in! As far as the kiddies and aholes go? Its the internet, that isn't changing anytime soon! :)

Knife Sheaths, because Hunting will make knives matter..
makomachine replied to Mr Jizz's topic in General Discussion
Great suggestion OP - looking forward to it as its a needed element when we get hunting in place. I plan on going way out in the middle of nowhere and going on safari for a while when they get it all implemented. You'll find me at the farthest points from any military installation or big city. I'll be the one at the campfire at night, roasting that damn rabbit (finally), with a flask of hooch... Oh wait, new must have item for my list.... :) -
Solving problem of kill on sight - Vehicles.
makomachine replied to Outroduce's topic in General Discussion
Its an 'enemy of my enemy' dilemma IMO. The solution to this non-existant problem is to give them a greater enemy to point their bangsticks at... -
Charging people money to help you "make" a game....
makomachine replied to jBrick's topic in General Discussion
Fine line in being a necroposter and a search idiot. I'm pretty sure we know which way he swings... :) -
You are telling me you found your body two hours after you were killed? Me thinks you stumbled on another non-survivor, or something smells a bit can of tuna...

It's in appeasement of the search nazi gods... -

Hip holsters for the auto sidearms, scope for blaze & sporter, true subsonic ammo/suppression for FNX/M4 for Zeds and stealth, and IED crafting... :)

We NEED some way to identify heros and bandits.

How about you just pick up one of the multitude of unique wearable items already in game to help distinguish your squad. Kill.This.Thread.Please -
Solving problem of kill on sight - Vehicles.
makomachine replied to Outroduce's topic in General Discussion
Oh joy... Another KOS right/wrong thread covered up with the thought process that vehicles will change something. Maybe laser beams and space ships will make people not want to kill each other. How about trains? How about helicopters? All of these things will surely make the KOS "problem" go away... Please go play yourself some Arma 3 or any other number of games where vehicles exist and witness the LOVE and lack of gunfire! Take in the fresh air, maybe catch a hike or have a picnic! Yes, VEHICLES ARE THE KEY!!!!!! -
