I'd change servers then... Daily play here and nary a problem of this sort out of my US Central and other servers in my area. I'm not saying it doesn't exist - I'm saying its a lot less frequent than what you are reporting for most people.

Understand that, and completely understand periodic breaks from this game while it's being developed. Wasn't really directed at you - just saying things aren't near as bad on that front as the forum would lead people to believe. I equate it to reading an online review of something. 1 million bought it, 3 out of 5 reviews say its garbage but it continues to sell like hot cakes. Complaints are fast to be posted while unbiased, no agenda praise is a rare moment on the internet. Ramble over...

3PP games definitely help. My wife gets sick just watching me play any 1PP game for more than a couple minutes. Motion sickness sucks - glad I don't suffer from it!

Over 240 hrs played and ran into one hacker. Like anything on the internet - molehills become mountains. Problems? Yes. Interfering with hours of enjoyment of the game? You are doing it wrong.

There are a lot of friendly players....when YOU get the drop on THEM. Doesn't reciprocate. Bottom line, unless you know the player outside of the encounter (irl, clan, history) - nobody can be trusted in this game. That's part of the fun...

Ouch! That's a bad one too! Had something similar in Balota many hours ago but escaped unscathed miraculously. I did log right back on after reset though, so that at least allowed me a better shot. This one at the well will be an unknown situation. -

We had just got through a firefight with two others and was bandaging and drinking before I got out of Dodge (Elektro). I'll let you know how it goes as I expect I likely will be sniper bait for a bit... -

Trust me - not where I'd choose to logout. Key point is it was due to a server restart. I know better than to logout at a well ! :) -
No persistent loot server side. It's being worked on for the future - but the moment it leaves your person, it's at risk of disappearing next server restart.

I've never damaged a scope before in combat (either side) but have heard its possible. I wish there was a way to build an IED to put in my pack. I like my gear ruined for the next person. :)

Bambi's always seem to make their intentions known quickly to me - and without a weapon, it's not yet (probably keyword) bit me in the ass. I don't go terribly far out of my way to help them though. It's a cruel world out there - time to survive or die, I'm not carrying anyone I don't know....

Friendly and friendly actions are two different things. Been killed by the mask wearing lunatics several times (every time was hostile) and sometimes they were very friendly - until their friend snuck behind and executed me, or they shot me, or asked me an innocent question and then did the same. Any kind of mask, I shoot first second and third - don't bother with the questions later.All others not wearing masks? Completely untrustworthy - just don't blast them on site, at any range... I have a thing about clowns to - don't like them - might be why, but regardless, you're dead in my presence....

Only in a game can you get shot - and follow it up with a nice conversation! I'd try a white outfit next and see if you get the same result!

Mask is a bad move on your part when we cross paths. I usually try and avoid a fight, and even talk to others, but the mask is a non-starter. Thieves and sociopaths in that get up - if you are dumb enough to equip it, then it's Darwin Award for you. (Not calling you dumb, just sayin...)

I gave my beans so that I could take them away! Some of that, sure - but people don't drop their moral compass to that degree in much longer time periods. New Orleans and other towns would be vacant after a disaster from all that anarchy and brutality, that was truly a microcosm of what actually occurred. People care beared when the crap hit the fan more than they KoS. What are you, 12?

Compass is a very valuable tool and I use mine at least once a session. But I cover nearly every city on the map regularly inland. Really helps if I know where I've logged and it's raining when I log back in. Duct tape Screwdriver hammer machete knives Matches Pot Stove & gas cans Water purifying tablets Alcohol tincture Short canvas pants Masks Weapon lights All else is fair game until I find something better

LRS is fairly easy to find - but you got to get into the hot zones, or at least on the fringes...

Somebody logged out there while being attacked. Saw it happen first hand at NEAF - and the zed kept doing it for at least 10 minutes. (Left area)
