There is no black and white here - classification of a player is counter to what this game is about IMO....

Crafting, the future and what *you* want to see

Backpack ied's would be the bomb! (See what I did there...) -
This game is years away from ready to be on consoles - likely not this generation. If it is, it will be a different game entirely.

Why no warning on server restart?
makomachine replied to pacoarizasystem's topic in General Discussion
Restarts are tricky - part of the reason I rarely carry two primaries. Lost a pristine mosin/LRS setup while eating and that was that.... -
Reason why Bandits rise and heroes die.

This thread gave me private hives... -
Remove all long firearms = best kill on sight deterrent.

Gunshow beer tent fight in progress! <grabs popcorn and forgets OP's topic> -
Killing players makes all the gear they carry go ruined?
makomachine replied to keklily's topic in General Discussion
Want my stuff? You'll have to shoot it up to get it. Every time I'mve been robbed they kill me anyway, even after surrendering. My loot comes with bullet holes and my own share of damage dealt. No reason not to go out fighting these days... -

Man has been killing man since they found that first rock lying around. Give a man a rifle, he'll kill another - give him a stick, he'll do the same. Gun/weapon types will deter nothing - giving another reason of focus in the game changes the PvP dominance we have today... -

If you retread the OP post - this more about why it changed in his/her possession - believe that's ruined storage at work. Had this happen with some oh so valuable morphine when my pants got ruined after breaking my legs on some stairs. -
Yes, must have in my opinion. I'd have no reason to carry a LRS equipped Mosin if they were in game.

Why do 'heroes' think all fresh spawns are new players?
makomachine replied to Sebidee's topic in General Discussion
There is a "purpose" in a sandbox game? Where do I find the list of rules and objectives for this game. <pulls out popcorn and refreshes>. :) -

If it was pristine in their storage and changed in yours, my guess is the article of clothing or backpack you have is 'ruined'. Ruined storage ruins good stuff I believe... -
I ran into a guy at NWAF in my first 50 hours of the game - the only other guy in the server (check rules of DayZ). Literally ran into each other as we cornered a hanger. He was being chased by 4 Zeds and both of us were freaked out. We both shot numerous times and missed each other thankfully - while we screamed FRIENDLY! Hilarious. wW both calmed down after gaining some 'distance' from each other and had a good laugh, and made some trades for gear. One of my most adrenaline filled moments of any game and the outcome hooked me up with a clan - because I communicated and regained composure. Kudos to your survivor savior - may his beans be plentiful and his loot spawns be rare!

Nothing annoys me more than people trying to be helpful and not killing me on sight. Jeez! The NERVE of these guys!!! -
We need the ability to. Raft zombie pets - machete, rope, and zed... Hordes are a must once they fix the path issues - that's when this game will change for a pure PvP.

Hotfix changelog: Stable Branch: 0.35.115188
makomachine replied to mattlightfoot's topic in News & Announcements
Someone define 'stable' and go play experimental - you need to learn to APPRECIATE these delays people. If you haven't ALREADY gotten $30 worth of entertainment in this ALPHA, you aren't trying. Pause, deep breath, moving to the next thread... -
If you aren't carrying a camp stove, fuel, and a suppressor, you just aren't a prepper. Not about what's happening today! :)

I was a regular 'run north and west' player on a new spawn to get out of the deathmatch of Balota, Elektro, etc. for my first 150 hours or so of the game. It wasn't long ago where you could run from NE to NW airfield and nary see a soul. Now it's Balota on steroids it seems for me anyway on experimental and stable. Things cooling off down south or is this just the product of more players exploring the map more? Interested in others observations.

I've accidentally found a way to avoid having to hold 'w' when on a long map crossing. I have a USB switch on my keyboard to use it for two computers. If I switch while running, you keep running even after you switch back, until you hit a key. Not sure if it works the same with unplugging your usb keyboard, but use it regularly now when crossing the middle of nowhere. Just thought I'd share!

Going to need more info for your question... Meant to include that below my really bad humor...

All consuming - rumor has it that the infection is spreading that way...

Who needs a cramped middle "w" finger?
makomachine replied to makomachine's topic in General Discussion
Clearly I poked the hornets nest here.... Do, don't do, this isn't about development of auto run - just something I stumbled on that might have a use for those who are interested. -
Do the world a favor and break a bandits legs, then cuff them with a note on their back to others that read "Bandit in time out - do not assist or execute". Leave their gear, less ammo, at their side with them completely undressed. (That's log out prevention). Enough do that and people will approach things differently... It's a fun idea anyway in the middle if a work day... :)

All the cool kids are doing it... Run inland as fast as you can! (Not any better there either, but it's all I got)

Except.... He logged in a jail... Missed a lesson...
