Mixed bag of results for me here. I've fallen 12" and broke my leg - and I've fallen off the fire station roof with nary a scratch. Need to fix this obviously, but in the meantime, watch your step....

Rabbits are quieter these days, still bullet, axe, and fist proof. The occasional zed scream from the woods still occurs - not missing any sounds that I can recall anyway.

This game takes a pretty fresh pc to run well. I've got two friends that I'd love to play it with but they aren't up to proper specs at this point. It likely will get better as it enters beta phase and final release, but you likely will need a new OS regardless.

Gathering and looting and surviving. I take more pride in surviving on the outside looking in, than in finding someone to kill- when I've had combat, I've probably done something wrong. In the real world, with no respawning, being around lead flying ends one way - sooner rather than later. I'm making the most of the survival simulation...

I play hardcore as well and still don't get the point. If the point of the argument is that you want realistic viewing angles enforced, don't offer up yet another non real world angle in the argument. I play both modes and get the general point on both sides - I don't get why people are wasting time arguing it however as you can play what you like already. If it's to convince people that your point of view is superior to their point of view, then I'll ignore that like I ignore other 'evangelizers and politicians'. Play what you like...

Good question as the first time I accidentally logged into hardcore I thought I had lost my stuff from my 3PP character. If that's not it, we're you carrying a Book of Job or any other books? Just data points and hope its a case of confusion as I know that is infuriating. Been there and done that once myself...

Awesome. Totally Awesome, when they fix the path finding/spawn/alert problems. One thing is certain after this patch - like them or not, the Zeds are a factor now in a lot of decisions.

Short answer, yes it is worth it. One report is an incident, multiple reports is a systemic problem. Without the reports, things just carry on.

Let the dog out, grab a snack, hit the head, check your e-mail, etc. it's small price to deter hopping...
