Buy the game, test it but do play more then 2 hours. If it runs good, if not ask for refund on steam.

Hi everyone, so today i wanted to talk a little bit about the guns in day z and how they spawn at the moment. Having been playing on a private hive for more then a week now, i haven't seen a single gun spawn with its magazine and neither with its bullets. And i mean that in 100% of the cases when i found them. Is it just me that thinks the gun spawn system should be reworked AGAIN for at least a 50/50 % chance of the guns to spawn with its magazines? Don't you guys agree that is so damn annoying that if you find an AK and in all the cases you still have to find the magazine for it AND after that you have to go around looking for the ammo? Im not saying this should happen all the time, but come on what are the odds that in a survival situation around an area the size of chernarus there isn't a single gun with ammo lying around or even the clip for it? I think is just stupid that even after 3 years of development we still have to be here discussing small things like this. Its just so frustrating to watch the developers say things like "guns now spawn with attachments" and the only gun you'll ever see with it is a .22 rifle with a hunting scope. Haven't you guys sold 3 million copies of the game already? Isn't that enough to make a good "farming experience" for the players and not just a frustrating one? Ahhh sorry this post turned into a rant, i guess im just expecting too much from you guys right? Im open for criticism, just dont give me the alpha replies please, i know what i was up to when i spend my money on it. By the way, I would like to say that the game improved a lot in .61 and if you have been taking a break from this game for the last year or months, this is the patch where you should definitly give it a try again and i can't wait to see whats coming next as a fan from day z since the beggining. Just be prepared to ALWAYS spend 1 hour to find a good gun and 2 more hours to find 30 rounds and a clip for it.

HELP! DayZ 1-2 second freezes every 5-10 seconds in towns
XibaRootS replied to _sanex's topic in Troubleshooting
Welcome to Day z SA. There is nothing you can do besides wait. -
Go record a video from you finding a gun with a mag and 15 rounds at least in it in any part of the map and ill give credibility to your words then

Hi there, i tought the same thing at first but then i asked to all my friends and they replied saying that they were having the same problem. Tomorrow im gonna be trying to do the old server hopping on public servers to confirm this theory and see if this only happens on private hives, wich i believe its not the case. I would love to see someone come in here and tell me that im wrong and that they find weapons with ammo inside of them at least 30% of the time. Either im being VERY unlucky and all of my friends as well or weapons really do not have any chance of spawning with at least 1 bullet loaded. I really wish some dev would hop in here and clarify things for us all but i don't know if thats ever happening :(

hey everyone, its been a while since i posted anything. Now that 0.60 is out, i gotta say... performance is better. BUT, i've noticed that my gpu is getting to 85°C now and the fans are going craaazy with this temperature, anyone has any intel about this to share? Thanks in advance members of the forum and devs.
-
it seems that the temperature goes up along with the frames, if you're in a city with say 40 frames, temperature goes down. The same works for when you are inside a house. BUT, if you go outside the temperature goes up along with the frames. In other words: more frames = more temperature

Same here first time i logged. Go on filter, dismark the option

Thanks for the intel survivor. When i tried out unturned and saw that problem, i asked one friend of mine to do the same test and he told me that his gpu was getting 92°C aswell, and he has a gtx 760, mine is a r9 207x. We were having the same problem with different cards. So problem in the GPU BIOS is out of the table. I just tried to activate Vsync as the other survivor suggested and scrificed around 40 frames, now i am getting steady 60 fps on open areas and 35-45 on cities like berezino with a max temperature of 70°C wich is very acceptable. So I think is something to do with the new patch stressing the cards. I highly recommend to everyone out there to pay attention to your temperatures whilst playing now, since this can take away life durabillity of your gpu's. That is of course if you don't have a high tech cooling, wich i don't =). And on another note, i really hope they (developers) look into this problem and fix it asap. Thanks everyone for the answers, Roots.

Now im getting 90-120 frames on the coast. PC SPECS: • CPU adm fx8350 • GPU r9 270x 2gb • 8gb ram I mean, i play gta V on high settings and get lower temperatures, same for the new doom, alien and a bunch of other games. There's another game that does this asweel and it is Untunerd, wich has the poor graphics ever but it does take my gpu to 90°C or above. So i have to believe that this is happening due to something else within the new renderer. I will try to activate Vsync as you suggested and see how it goes. Thanks guys, and if anyone else has any more intel or suggestions i really aprecciate it

Do anyone have more info about the cable car? IF it is true that this is coming... oh man, thats gonna be a lot of fun i suppose.

So i've been thinking about this idea for some time now, and before people come in here saying that the game is not aimed to be like this and blablabla, i just wanna say that is an idea and i will receive any suggestions (positive or negative ones) with no problem, just don't be a douche please :) . So... The idea is quite simple actually, imagine if the dev's took some time to build a NEUTRAL CAMP ZONE with no way to interact with other people stuff (barracks, barrels, etc..) except with your own, BUT in order to place your stuff over by this area you have to pay taxes, this could be made in a weekly or even monthly basis and the payment would be set to be defined by the leaders or the owners of that area on each server; To the owners of the area then... In order to become the owner of that area, you have to be the first person to be at the center of this location and capture some form of WayPoint, this could be a flag, or a house that one member of a team/group had to stay inside for a determined period of time whilst the other members of this team have to protect this area. But what would be the difficulties here? Simple. A Massive horde of zombies along with the most dangerous of all creatures, the players. This Horde could be schedule to be deployed/arrive at the end of every weekly cicle. So to keep being the leader of this area you would have to protect it from zombies and players for say like 45 min; This idea came up to me after playing the game called "Reign of Kings" wich has a similar system. And of course in any surviving situation, you can imagine that communities would be built in order to give longevity to their life since a group has much more chances of survinving longer; It would be also nice if the leaders of this areas could build defensive systems against the always popular campers. Because as in every other game that has a "safe/neutral area" there's always people waiting outside trying to kill you; The Taxes here could be defined with some NPC that the players and the leaders can interact with. What your thoughts? let me know in the posts down below. Thank you all for reading it Rgds ;D

Where can I find the official changelog of 0.59?
XibaRootS replied to andro_dawton's topic in New Player Discussion
i was searching for it too here on the forum, couldn't find it. -
Who use to play the mod know's what im talking about, i just think that was a pretty cool "immersive" aspect of the game, when you're getting near a dead body you start hearing flyes sounds. Would you guys like to see that implemented into standalone? And if someone knows if this was already mentioned somewhere else please share it with me. Rgds
-
I think that there was but not on players dead bodies, but on those piles of zombies yes, like that one behind the firestation on NW Airfield.
-
I feel you dude. I remember that it was super awesome to reach say for example a Firestation and then hear inside of it that "buuuzzzzz" sound and imediatly get scared cause you know from that moment on that someone has been killed there. Then you start to get even more scared of more people being around. It was super cool.

Brainstorm a DAYZ TvT idea with me (originally BrianStorm)
XibaRootS replied to OrLoK's topic in General Discussion
Hi, Im not being negative, don't get me wrong. What i meant is... we've seen Hick's on preview interviews answering to people that was asking him if some features were going to be introduced and he said that they have to focus on their prioritys now and get all things that they already want and have planned to be done in due time or asap, and provide a stable experience to players on each new update that they bring to us. And from my point of view this idea that you suggested could delay development if they decide that is better to do it now before other more important things, like bug fixing or performance issues on both server and client side's these are just some examples, Im sure there's a lot more to be done in order for this game to achieve its max pottential. Im a great fan of dayz since i first played it on Arma 2 many years ago, and i have to be honest... sometimes i lost faith on this team of dev's, but then i take some break for 3 or more months and wait for more updates and everytime i come back i get my hope restored and then i recognize that they're doing their best and making the right decisions after all. (I just wish it was a faster process, but thats just the way it is and i accepted it by now.) Also, they've always said that the great triumph of dayz is the fact that it is a game where you don't have a single purpose once you spawn, you can call surviving a purpose if you want but i think its just an instinct of human nature, what you decide to do in this game is up to you in the end. Creating something like what you suggested could twist the whole "franchise". Thats why i think things like that should be left for mod creators. Again, im not being negative and you don't need to be so hostile at me. I think that your idea is good and could give a different experience to the people that want it, personally i would try it yes. I just dont want to see "our" game taking two years more to have bases, cars, bikes and a solid sync along with solid frames everywhere in the map. Sorry if the english was bad in anyway, not an expert. -

Let this for when mods comes out, we don't want to see "our" game development delayed anymore then it already has. -
do we have a changelog for .59?

Wait for the Beta this year. They say it will improve

Hi everyone, so i've been on a quest for two days trying to repair a V3S and the only thing that i can't find is the glow plug. And by being on this "quest" i've notice that the space occupied by the wheels and by the jerrycan is extremely huge, and that made my task as long as s***t, all i wanna do is repair that to carry some stuff around, maybe make a camp. I think reducing the space that these parts take on our inventory is the key here. In my humble opinion 4x3 for the jerry can would be ideal and 5x5 for the wheels would be great as well. I had to carry every single wheel from one place to the next many times, that pissed me off, doing the same thing for like 7 times, only that took like 2 hours or even more, cause i had to find the specific type of whell that i needed, if i could only carry some of this parts in my backpack it would be great, What you guys think?
-
i fully agree, its a lot of unecessary work, say that you have to find 5 specific wheels for a truck and you have a weapon on your back and another one on your hands, you'll have to leave one behind in order to carry one wheel only for 5 times. I would rather get rid of lot of food and other stuff from my backpack to carry one more wheel instead of my primary weapon wich was found in a military (high risk zone) place. I just think it doesn't make sence, after all this is a game and should be a fun experience, day z already has a lot of repetition, by that i mean dying and spawning again with nothing, looting the same places etc... You don't need to take things too serious, thats just my opinion anyways. Look at the old mod at its prime, it was hard enought to manage all the parts if you were alone, you were able to carry wheels and other parts in your backpack, but it was a hard task even the same. But again, thats just my opinion and suggestion.

Thanks for the answer dude! I think that the V3s is supper glitched atm cause it starts the engine without the glow plug but it doesn't move (LOL). I've seen ppl in other threads with the same problems in another spawn locations. But yeah i did something like you said, but instead of leaving the wheels in a house, i had a barrel hidden near the location with the stuff i was finding in it cause i didn't know that wheels are persistent rsrs. Thanks you both for answering, gg guys.
