Alright, for everyone and anyone who says mosibfu is lying. That IS me in the screenshot with the green t-shirt. That IS my Day z name, which is the same as my forum name, Sebidee and I distinctly remember typing "you already gave me tuna, thanks" - That was while I was following him and decided to approach them again, only to have him offer me food AGAIN [silly heroes]. In the screenshot you will see a dead black girl. I was looking at her while I was waiting for mosibfu to approach me on the road. He asked me if I had seen what happened and told me that he had given her food a few minutes ago. Also I have added him on steam because I felt bad about making this thread about him when in all honesty he wasn't actually rude. He linked me to his youtube channel where I can confirm that it was his voice (he says he's dutch but it's polish to my ear). He also told me I will be staring in his next video where you can see the whole glorious incident with your own eyes!! SUCK IT :) -
So, what's going on? I have internet connection and can still play but I can't change servers, there are none in the list. What's wrong?

If I go to history it works then. All the pings are trash though.

Crafting, the future and what *you* want to see

What I would really like to see is less 'complete' items and more ones that you have to make yourself. For example, they should make headtorches very rare but make it very easy to get a torch, hat and duct tape and then boom! home made head torch! I'm having trouble now thinking of other examples. Maybe rather than having a weapons cleaning kit you should a screwdriver, rags, oil, etc etc. Basically what I am saying is rather than finding things and having them at hand right away you should be forced to make them yourself. Of course there are also weapons as well. You could make your own or you could modify existing ones. Take your baseball bat, add some nails with a hammer and then you have a spiked club that does double damage. Then, of course, you could make explosives by emptying bullets into a tin with some nails or buckshot and adding a fuse or by creating molotov cocktails by using empty bottles, rags, gasoline and matches. I would like crafting to be extensive, so extensive that you couldn't remember them all yourself. I want to look into my backpack, see a bunch of junk and think to myself "what could I make with these?" then experiment and surprise myself with my creativity. -

Oh it was you? kind of Polish sounding or something? (forgive me it was how I remembered you) Well thanks I guess for my can of tuna. I don't want to be hostile now but you know why I think it was silly!! edit: Wazza-something I believe? some kind of name with a W in it. I actually didn't mind after a while it was the initial meeting that annoyed me! -

Yes actually he was. And I was speaking, I didn't know he couldn't hear me. Because I was intrigued. I rarely get to talk to people in the game. Good point. The only thing is that a very very small percentage of people you meet on the coast will be pure newbies. There are plenty of people who don't KOS. There are few in my experience who will try to help you out only because they assume that you are new. Plus he is feeding bandits, at least in my opinion. -

I had a dream about Day z last night. I saw a guy fighting some zombies, then shot him with a mosin. Then stopped playing for a second to talk to my brother, when I looked back there was a fresh spawn there that then punched me to death. -
I can't figure out how to read them. The only option I get is "inspect"

Unfinished features that cause glitches surely. And there is a difference between unfinished and not present. I'm merely suggesting ones I'd like implemented.

Doesn't that pop up regard bugs and glitches rather than things that are not in game? Because that's all I think about while playing.

How do people manage to send the music they hearing through mic ingame?

Can't you just play music through your speakers and transmit it over direct communication? You could play it through youtube or with ipod speakers. -

Are they actually realistically accurate? There are tons of factors in a long distance shot which the game isn't currently taking into account. I don't believe you could so easily shoot that far. -
That one bit with the hiking, that was sweet. Actually joke. I was in the country, can't remember where just somewhere in the middle. I saw this castle thing on a really steep hill so I climbed it to see what was up there. I come to the crest of the hill and see about 5 zombies on the other side. Now I'm used to zombies, but when you get surprised by them like that it does make you jump. I turned around and started to sprint down the hill only to have the zombies come FLYING past me and then crash to their deaths at the bottom of the hill. That was weird.

Well I can only speak for myself, but I haven't been moaning. I have made a few threads about features I would like to see and why they would help things. I still got the alpha shout down though. If you someone is building a house wrongly then you point it out while it's being built. Not when you've moved in. Isn't that the whole point of Day Z at the moment?

Or they could make guns much more inaccurate at range. There is a reason why military and police snipers are so highly trained. It's HARD. A lone survivor who just washed up on the beach should not be able to hit a target a half a mile away. -
It might sound weird but I actually wouldn't mind it if people handcuffed me and messed around, so long as they let me go. Even if they didn't it would still be an experience. All of this "being shot by someone you never even see, who probably won't even loot you" is really wearing thin.

Yeah I was thinking this earlier as well. Why are the community not allowed to point out flaws and make suggestions when the game is in alpha, a.k.a still has a bunch of people working on it. Would it really better to wait until it's finished and THEN point out flaws when it will only have a small patching team?

Yeah. I played for 3 hours and it was a murder fest. My geared up character died and I was too lazy to re-gear so I decided to walk the coast and see what people I could find. Serial killers, that's all there were.

Ok, so we will just get rid of zombies altogether and make it a deathmatch with a massive map. This is ZOMBIE SURVIVAL GAME and we want zombies to be dangerous. Zombies are most dangerous in large numbers. If you knew there was a roving horde (and they could have one on each server) but you didn't know where it was then it would make the game even more tense.

I didn't know that the fuel pumps blew up. I also didn't know about the bug that makes them blow up randomly. I almost shit my pants last week when that happened. "AHHHHHHH OMG DID THEY ADD BAZOOKAS?!?!" Edit: By the way, they really need to add the ability to cut sticks from trees. It's a little ridiculous that sticks are so rare on a map that is 50% forest. -
Players are more attached to loot then keeping character alive

Right now people would prefer to die than be robbed since both are pretty much the same thing. There needs to be a system where your guy levels up the more time he spends in game. That way death would be scary as you would lose so much -
But won't you be making twice as much noise then?

I think there should be more dead bodies, or crashed cars, or blood all over the place. There could even be little "stories" with a half rotted body and a note on the wall written in blood. Just things like that. I really think the way that the zombies sound is quite scary, so maybe if they get the sound effects right that could help.
