If each player pays 1-2 euros a month, then it's easy to host a server. And they know that. It will just take some time for people to organize their private shacks, but at the end of the day they will make a lot of money with that. Server rules are not respected, that's true. And I'm sure that they don't do much to prevent that because it makes a lot of money. The most stupid name I have seen is "making a video, don't join." :D

How many players would want to pay for playing on a public hive? Not much. How many would pay to play on a private shard? Quite a lot. That explains the prices. Those guys are there to make money, they are not non-profit organizations.

I'm sorry but the French army don't use M4A1 or US helmets and camo pattern, so no. Most European countries have their own military industry. But it's true that their movie industry is weaker and that you will probably see less FAMAS or FN-FAL on TV. Also most UN peacekeepers are not American, they are from many countries, and France takes part in a lot of those missions. You also have many African and Asian peacekeepers using mostly AK. It's quite unelikey that the mighty Russia would allow an American "peace" mission close to its borders. So of course there could be a bit of American stuff, and we can accept the M4A1, but I believe that we have quite enough already and that we need MORE eastern and European stuff (and why not Asian too?). We can't have every kind of weapons in game. Plus HZN1 will have plenty of US stuff. We have enough US shit in DayZ, we don't need more. If you want US stuff so bad, then play ARMA or something like that. But if a UN mission is sent in a post-soviet country, it might as well use French or German equipment.

I'm tired of all those admins running private/team servers and ejecting other people because they want to keep their loot or because they have their own delirium about DayZ. I thought it was clearly forbidden in the rules? Yet I haven't seen so many "private" servers. Why don't you do something ?

Make sure that you are playing on public hive and the same type of server (regular or hardcore). Be careful as your body will stay a few seconds on the server once you have left it, allowing other people to kill you. If you tried this while the enemy was close, he probably killed you when you were disconnected, which explains why you were reset.

I hate zombies = I don't like zombies in this game. I hate them more = I don't like the new patch. If I want to play a real zombie survival game I can play State of Decay.

Just got a teleportation loop. I couldn't escape a military base because everytime time I tried I was teleported back where I was 5 seconds ago. Zombies hit me 4-5 times in this base, yet I managed to logout/login then escape without any blood loss and damage to my clothes, all thanks to my new technique:

I must try that then. I don't see why that would work with hands down even though you are supposed to be slower, but why not. Everything is possible in DayZ.
