How does this "infection" work, and is it curable by antibiotics? If so, did antibiotics get les rare?

Well, thats true, but if it were to be implented then their should be a high minimum amount of - or + humanity before someone can even craft those skins, like -5000 and + 5000, so self defense killings would not instantly force you to one side

Just a wild suggestion now that the bandit skin is geeting removed: what if we could only craft skins based on your humanity? Like for example, a -40.000 humanity guy can craft camo skins, and the lower your humanity, the more expierenced you get in crafting those. With high humanity, you would be able to craft medic skins or army skins, wich would have benefits too. You could even add rpg elements, like having a choice between diffrent skins that each have their own benefit, like for example: medic(able to revive dead people) extra heavy body armor or extra light body armor (light allowing you to move faster, and heavy giving you more resistence to small calibers and giving you more blood) for good guys, and: sniper (ghillie suit), extra heavy body armor, extra light body armor. The higher or lower your humanity is, the better the skins you can craft, giving better benefits. This way everyone can be unique, and this would work REALLY WELL with groups, for both evil and good, because this way everyone can specialize, and have their own task within the group. (for example, heavy body armor guy fights off zombies while a light armor scouts for an escape route, and the medic makes sure everyone stays alive, and revives fallen comrades if needed) Does anyone agree? Imo this would solve a lot of problems and it would support teamwork on both sides.

Dont let harry discourage you in making models. I still dont think a m1 grand is a good addition to the mod, based on cherno veing a former soviet state. Btw harry are you retarded? Ofc there wont be any LAWs and m107's, its every man for itself. Russian weapons should be common. Us and eu weapons should be very rare, and only be found in wrecked choppers, dead special forces, dead soldiers etc. -
Not going to happen, no support in arma 2 for modls like that at all and there never will b in any arma game

Although it does look great, I dont think it will fit the game. Couple of reasons: 1. It is an American ww2 weapon, cherno is a former soviet state, there is no way a 70 year old american rifle would be available on an island like cherno. 2. We already have to many american/european weapons in the mod, like the winchester, m4's m16's etc, most off them available in larger quantity's then the real soviet weapons, we need more rifles like: ak103/4/7, scorpion, sa-51 ( not sur if thats the name, I mean the czech weapon) KSVK (would make more sense then the m107) pkp pecheng, rpk, RPG, SVD, Vss vintorez, as val, and many more. MOST IMPORTANTLY the Mosin-nagant and the ww2 russian submachine gun ( pshk or something, cant remember the name) because insane amounts of these 2 are still present in former soviet states, and they would make way more sense then a winchester or m1 grand. 3. Ammo for a rifle like that would be very, VERY scarce in an acopalypse, especially the clips holding the rounds. 4. The typical sound it makes ejecting the clip would give you a major disadvantage, as it notifies everyone; HEY I AM OUT OF AMMO, COME SHOOT ME WHILE I RELOAD. I just dont think that adding more (irl) rare weapons to the game would make any sense. Maybe if you have some spare time you could make some russian weapons? You certainly have skills. -
You need to press enable while ou have it selected, the press apply.

Cant wait to play again, it seems like a major improvement and by adding wrecked choppers with good loot you finnaly gave us an alternitive to stary sobor and NW. I hope that more of these random high reward events will be added in the future, as they give the true survivors a way to get good loot, and they give us a reason to explore. As for the temprature gauge, is this going to be related to sickness? Like you get infected, and you will get high fever and if you dont get someone to help you, you will die. That would be a good addition, and will force people to work in groups and scavenge hospitals.

Computer totaly freezes after some time in ArmA

Yeah We cant really give an 100% sure answer without your specs but its probally a problem with the hardware. Arma is very heavy on your cpu and gpu and I am guessing that Arma is taking too much proccesor usage wich may result in vital programs not working propperly and locking your pc up. -
This is ArmA, its a millitairy simulater. That means it simulates real life balistics, blood loss, etc. In real life 1 bullet that is placed well (chest, stomach, kidneys, lungs, nek, head, heart, nd many more) will kill you. This is not cod or bf3 were everyone aborbs bullets. As for your question, it was probally a cz 550, lee enfield, dmr or m24, asuming you barly exposed yourself

Okay hold on guys, I am working on a long post for your problems. `btw dont use launchers, they dont work very well with this mod. Differlot: Because you have non-steam, the game will auto install OA as CO so you cant copy the addons folder to it. What you did was right, but just make sure that it looks like this: Arma2/@dayz/addons/mod files extracted with winrar. then start up OA. go to expansions trough the main menu and see if both @dayz and arma 2 are enabled. If they are then you should be able to play. The recieving screen can take a couple mins to finish sometimes, so be patient. JC: Is your gamersgate OA also updated? If you have seperate installs (OA is not installed inside the arma 2 folder) then follow these instructions, if you have them both in one folder then follow the instructions I gave too differlot. seperate installs: remove all your old attempts and do this: Copy the addons folder from the Arma2 folder (not the dayz one, the right one has files like a-10.pbo etc) and paste it into your OA folder. Then create the entire dayz thing in the OA folder looking like this arma2OA/@dayz/addons/extracted mod files (make sure that they are extracted with winrar) then start up OA and go to the ingame expansions menu, enable @dayz and arma 2 and you will be able to play. medic eugene: Reinstall arma 2 and OA and remove six updater (six updater does not work very well with this mod) then follow my instructions: Copy the addons folder from the Arma2 folder (not the dayz one, the right one has files like a-10.pbo etc) and paste it into your OA folder. Then create the entire dayz thing in the OA folder looking like this arma2OA/@dayz/addons/extracted mod files (make sure that they are extracted with winrar) then start up OA and go to the ingame expansions menu, enable @dayz and arma 2 and you will be able to play. Yes, reinstall arma OA too, you have files all over there. So reinstall OA abd then follow my instructions

Dont use that link, my guide is better and you wont need any launchers like sixupdater. Sixupdater will only cause a shit ton ofproblems. -
/facedesk no...... cant you read at all? Listen to my fucking words, DO NOT PUT ARMA2 in OA! Inside the ARMA 2 folder you will find an addons folder, copy that and paste it into the OA folder. Then Just start up OA without altering the shortcut. Then enable arma2 and dayz and retart. You are done now and you should be able to play. Make sure that your dayz looks like this: @dayz/addons/Extracted addons. DONT FORGET TO USE FUCKING WINRAR TO EXTRACT THE MOD FILES

Ugh when do people learn to read dammit, just check my thread called new users check here. Its in the troubleshoot section. If your OA is installed in your arma 2 folder then check page 2 or 3, I have a install guide on one off those there. -

Remove that number fast! You can get a lot of trouble with that. Now for the fix: go to your arma 2 folder, copy the addons folder and paste it into the OA folder. Then create the entire dayz folder in the oa folder. Then start up oa, go to expansions and enable arma2 and dayz. Have fun playing.

Yes it is possible, Ill explain: Update your arma 2 using arma2.com, then when it is updated go to your arma 2 folder, copy the addons folder (the one with files like a-10.pbo etc) and paste it inside the oa folder. Then create the entire @dayz stuff in the OA folder. When it is all correctly done, start up your OA. Go to expansions and enable @dayz and arma 2. If either dayz or arma 2 (or both) is not in that list, then remove that folder and try it again (arma 2=addons folder, dayz= entire dayz folder) If you follow these instructions then you shouldnt have any problems. Some FAP (frequent annoying problems) If it says you are missing CAbuilding parts or things like deleted.chernarus then you should make sure that you really updated arma 2 to 1.11, when its updated remove the old outdated addons folder and paste the new one in. If it says you are missing things like dayz_weapons, dAyz_code etc then make sure you have th latest mod files, and that you really used winrar to extrct the files. The expansions list can be found ingame in the main menu, DO NOT DISABLE ANYTHING IN THAT LIST, only enable arma 2 and dayz and click apply. Load times for servers can be slow, be patient. Do not use seperate launchers or shortcuts, just use the normal unaltered OA shortcut, if arma asks if you want to run CO, then select run OA only ( because the addons folder you pasted into the oa folder already make the game CO as long as its enabled) If your friend is a pc noob then make sure to help him in person or on skype or something.

sye73: Go to your arma 2 folder, copy the addons folder and paste it into your AO folder. Then start AO (not as CO and without a launcher) then go to expansions, and enable arma 2 and @dayz. Then restart as is asked. If both arma 2 and dayz or one of them are not in the list try installing the mod and/or copy and pasting the addons folder from the arma 2 folder again. If they are both enabled you should be good to go. Dont use a launcher again, just use the AO shortcut and never launch as combined ops. Update the mod files if it still doesnt work. Chiefultimate: Remove the mod files and redownload them. Then extract them straight into the dayz addons folder instead of extracting and then dragging. Then start your game as CO. Go to the expansions and enable @dayz. Let me know if it works. Always start as CO. If you dont know how to launch as CO, go to your arma oa folder and it should have a file saying something with CO in the name. Do not take the lite one but take the normal one. Update your arma 2 and OA using the official arma2.com if you havent done that already. mercofshadows: When you load up the game make sure arma 2 is also in the expansions list. As for the mod: Did you use winrar to extract the files into the dayz addons folder? If you did use one, then did you extract them straight into the dayz addons folder? Let me know if it worked. Btw make sure to update both arma 2 and arma OA to the latest version. Let me know if it works.

300% was a typo, I have a 680 gtx and a i5. 2500k. I just tried myself and I got ~27 fps all maxed out and 3d on 200%. Looked great! But I could nearly use my gpu as a toaster even at max fan speeds. Back to 1920x1200 again, It runs with gpu on 30c so Ill choose hardware life above 200% 3d lol -
If you have 2 seperate installs, then copy the arma 2 addons folder (not the dayz one) and paste it inside your AO folder. Move your dayz folder to the AO folder after that. Make sure your dayz folder looks like this AOfolder-@dayz-addons-extracted dayz files. When you did all of this start up AO (not as CO) then go to expansions and enable arma2 and @dayz and press apply. Then restart the game as is asked and try to join the server. If you have retail make sure that both games are up to date and have a seperate install. If you need more help check my thread "new users with problems check here"
