Can i Play Day Z with this?

You dont need to show me articles' date=' I have built machines for friends that wanted to play arma 2 (before dayz was around) and 1 off them was on a budget and I made one with an APU for him when the llano series came out. He is running the game at medium on 1680x1050 with 40 fps steady. When dayz came it dropped to ~35 fps. This is a mobile version though so thats why I am saying low-medium at 30 fps. Yep this is probably the best way to find out how well it will run without buying ARMA2:CO. Just keep in mind DayZ tends to run a bit slower than ARMA2 does (at least on my PC). [/quote']

Yes that will run the game, these people dont lnow what. They are talking about. He has an APU wich is a proccesor with a very powerfull intergrated gpu wich can easily play arma 2 on low-medium with 30 fps

Yep you got screwed over hardcore there. The pre-built business is a big scam, with company's like apple and alienware (dell) being the worst. Because loads off people seem to think that computer performance are based on RAM, hdd sizes and clock speeds. These company's exploit this a lot (thats why company's like alienware say things like: 32 GB SUPER FAST GAMING RAM) and make huge profits off these people. Op, you got scammed by dell obviously, your laptop has maybe 400 dollars max worth off parts in there, dell probally paid 300 dollars to make it, and made 700 dollars profit. The thing is that you dont have a grafic card ( GPU) and thats why it performs so bad. Let this be a warning to all of you, just build your own desktop, you will save 200-2000€ depending on how expensive the parts are compared to "gaming" pre-builts. And most importantly, stay away from Dell and Apple

    FR9, someone issued kill command

its hacks and a lot of other people have had the same thing

Can I run DayZ with my specs?

Ugh, I am not sure if it will run at all but dont expect a playable frame rate even at very low settings. Reason: you have no gpu and an outdated laptop proccesor wich was low end when it came out.

Ok cool, tell me when you worked out a budget and Ill make sure to get you the best parts for the money, incase you are intrested, here is a video from newegg on how to actually build a pc: btw frank, you are so wrong, the i3 DOES NOT bottleneck new gpu's and will perform really well.

I am glad to see that you have changed your mind, just to react to some of the comments here: He wants a budget machine, and the i3 2120 is a very good low priced processor that wont bottleneck the new grafic cards. The i3 2120 outperforms all the AMD proccesors, and if you dont believe then go check famous sites like overclockers.net. Well Voiska that i3 build was not completly optimized yet, as it was just to give an idea of what it would cost and stuff. There are some things like motherboard-RAM compatibility and case choice. So dont buy anything yet. Post your finalized budget and Ill take a couple hours to post a complete finalized build and some guides on how to build the computer. It is not as hard as it may seem and as long as you follow the instructions and handle the components with care you will have no problem. A very important rule to remember when setting budgets: Wait for the moment when you have the most money available. So like when you sell that guitar, you might have the possibility to go up to 500 pounds budget (Just an example) And with those 100 pounds extra I might be able to squeze a cheap model of the i5 (wich has 4 cores and has even better performance. If you like speed you could also keep the i3 and add a ssd with that budget ( a ssd is a storage disk that has no moving parts and is very fast, if you put windows on a ssd you can completly boot up in a matter of seconds) So in short; post your budget, and Ill work out a good build. (Ill let it get checked by another forum wich has a lot of experts on it so Ill make sure its the cheapest and best possible)

Voiska, sorry for the rude comment, But just take a second to read this. By building yourself you save a lot of money and get better performance, I made a build for you to check out on partpicker so you can compare: http://pcpartpicker.com/uk/p/aeVV These parts are 40 pounds over your budget but this will perform WAY better. With the prebuilt you posted I think you will get about 10-20fps on medium, with the build I posted you will be able to play high/max at 30-40 fps. That prebuilt also comes without windows, so you would actually pay 390 pounds. Here is a 340 pound build with windows: http://pcpartpicker.com/uk/p/aeX0 Ill explain why its better then the ebay prebuilt: Proccesor performs better and has a very good on chip gpu that will nearly match a 6670. The psu is reliable (cheap prebuilts usually come with cheap psu's that can fry all your components) The HDD is at 7200 rpm wich is very important. It is cheaper (50 pounds) Things that might confuse you: The diffrence between 4gb and 8gb ram in gaming is very minimal, nearly all games use less then 4gb ram. Clock speed (ghz) does not equal performance when comparing parts, and amount of cores does not equal performance either. An i3 2120 wich has 2 cores at 3.1 ghz will completely outperform the amd fx-8150 wich has 8 cores, no matter how high you OC it. I would not recommend ordering the cheap build I posted because very soon a new generation off those so called APU's (processor) will come out wich will outperform the old gen at the same price. The more expensive build is a good choice if you manage to get some extra money, just add windows 64 bit to the list and do some extra research on what case you want and if the ram is supported by the mobo (very important)
  10. Funny how you clearly dont know anything about the game' date=' the bullet-resistant vest that the character wears DOES work, its not just there for the looks. Fact is that "bullet-proof" vests are not magic barriers. [/quote'] I thought it was purely cosmetic too. When I have died to another player it's always been basically instantaneous. Usually one, but occasionally 2 shots. I didn't think all of those times were always headshots, since many of them had lighting/weather handicaps or very little aiming time possible. That's my luck though. /ginormousfacepalm Those vests are not magical barriers, they can not stop a 7.62 or even a 5.56 at point blank, they will stop pistol rounds to the chests relatively well though.
