Always cool to find rare items, but its another item that is believed to be more valuable then it is. Like a Ballistics helmet. I'd rather have a unique character than play CoD, and risk dying to a glancing hit from a mosin at 500 meters, an m4 at 100, or a damaged pistol.

You must be new. The medics have been around since the mod. People already have done this plenty of times. They will blacklist your steam ID. Also there is an overwatch and support team that will travel with them to suspicious rescues. Most times it seems it doesn't end well for the bandits. Why would you want to kill medics anyway? Even the Natzis didn't shoot medics.

I got bad news for you. Only more zombies to come, and many are placeholders for large groups. This game is not meant to be played alone

Whats stopping bandits from choosing to wear the hero arm band? Also obviously no game can be 100% realistic. But its intended to be as realistic as possible. In real life a thing like that wouldn't exist. and there's flaws in what you said: If this was real, you wouldn't have to eat every 3 minutes to survive, IF YOU HAVE TO EAT EVERY 3 MINUTES YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG. I CAN GO DAYS WITHOUT EATING or die from not eating for 1 hour. WHEN YOU SPAWN IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE YOU ARE BARELY ALIVE Loot wouldn't respawn magically at a certain time. THERE'S A LIMIT ON MAP SIZE, THEREFORE IF LOOT NEVER RESPAWNED THERE WOULD BE NONE The cities like Cherno and Electro would be hellholes full of millions of zombies you wouldn't even go near. GO FIRE A WEAPON IN CHERNO BY YOURSELF RIGHT NOW ON A FRESH SERVER. AND THEY ARE PLANNING ON IMPLEMENTING A TON MORE ZOMBIES. Not everyone is trained on weapons, and those that weren't "should" have bad accuracy. GOOD PLAYERS HAVE BETTER ACCURACY THEN BAD ONES

Are you sure you were safe when you logged out? Zombies now respawn and will come from miles away, in the woods, etc. Your character is in the game for 30 seconds post log out.

M4s, Mosins, clips, ammunition, and utility vests dont grow on trees. And if they did in Dayz it wouldn't be very realistic. You arent going to keep people away from the coast. Upon spawning you need to hit a supermarket because you need food to travel anywhere. And to survive you need weapons. To have fun playing with your clan you need gear. all this is found in cities and bases.

Surround sound headsets are a gimmick unless they are the real expensive kind with like 5 speakers in each side positioned correctly

You're missing something. He was saying no to your suggestion. But alas: You seem to fall under the category of people who think hackers use magic. What hackers do (atleast in this sense) is find a "hole" and exploit it. They find a way that will let them alter the game. This is similiar to how an exploiter glitches into the walls, only they are finding a hole in the coding of the game and using their own code to exploit it. ALPHA is full of these "holes". Everytime they close one, more open up. However when the game goes into later phases, these holes will be patched for the most part. No game (not even consoles) are 100% safe from exploits. But do not even begin to think they will be able to do these things in the release, or even the later alpha phases.

Okay so I just started playing. I finally managed to get myself to a town that had closed doors, off the beaten path, to find some loot ( I assumed since the doors were closed it meant the loot had spawned, how long does it take doors to reset?) As soon as I arrived I was spotted by a zombie, I ran away but eventually decided to try and fight. I was badly injured in this fight and bled out unconcious. Is there a technique to melee fighting zombies? Is there a better plan? I tried entering a building and closing the door but the zombie was able to walk through the door? I have tried just running from the zombies, but it seems they chase me for unbelieveable distances, I'm talking 5-10 minutes of running. Is there a way to lose them? Basically, what is the best way to deal with zombies if you have no weapon?
