    Food from the land

    Something cool I think should be added or incorportated into the standalone should be food from the land. There should be plots of field with vegetables in them, or orchards where you can get apples, or even those random pumpkin patches behind houses should all be edible. Since dayz is about survival, why make the game to where you must find cans of food or kill animals for food. It would be cool to never have to go to civilizations to survive. You should also be able to drink directly from lakes or streams by scooping water with your hands. Of course its a one time thing to fill you up on the spot and you cant carry it with you without a water bottle.
  2. Zombies should have the same physical abilities as the human has. They can run as fast and lift as much but would damage themselves eventually because they dont limit themselves. I like the zombies the way they are, I just wish they werent so buggy and jumping all around me when attacking.

    Hello dayz community I have a major problem with bandit skins. I currently have a bandit skin and its really a pain in the ass. I acquired the skin through defending myself and my friends. Its dumb to have a skin that is put on you for killing people in any situation. I shouldn't be punished by killing the noobs who find an enfield in cherno then rush at people. I know you can work towards removing it, but I usually play by myself and when I am with friends they are rarely hurt to where I can help, or just bandage themselves on the spot. If this game is going for realism at all then remove it, or make it optional. I only kill people if they are a threat to me but now that I have the skin I am always getting my face blown off randomly. It makes the game shitty, that as a fresh spawn I cant even be overlooked by people already set up with gear. People will kill eachother anyways, so why have the skin? I also want to know what my humanity level is at, as well as blood level and zombie kill count. At least put in zombie kill count. Its fun to know how many zombs I have killed. If no then whats the point of even killing zombies other than to get out of a bad situation. When there was a zombie kill count I would try to snipe them from as far away with whatever I could find.

    Coats (Hot and colds)

    You can definetly get sick from getting wet for long periods. The water cools your body temperature down, so your body is now focusing on raising its temperature instead of fighting off bacteria/disease and you get sick.

    Fuel as a rarity

    You should be able to siphon fuel from broken but not destroyed vehicles. You should also be able to steal parts off of vehicles like hull parts, wheels, glass, and gas tanks. Engines would be stretching it too far. I 100% agree that vehicles should be common, and fuel a rarity. There are millions of vehicles in developed countries. It would be no problem finding working ones everywhere.

    I disagree with this. Its self defense. Your humanity shouldn't go down if the other person is evil.

    Ammo.

    Tracers and rubber bullets are not really common rounds. The military machine guns use tracers, but those should already be incorporated into the saw belts. My suggestion: For rifles: fmj (common), soft point (uncommon), hollow point (rare), armor piercing (very rare) for pistols: fmj (common), soft point (common), hollow point (rare) shotguns: slugs (common), bird shot (common), buckshot (uncommon), flachette (rare), dragons breath (rare) Hollow points for pistols would do the most damage. For rifles soft point and hollow point would do the most damage. For shottys the slug does high damage, but the buckshot or bird shot (at appropriate ranges like near point blank for bird, and 30ish yds for buck) would do massive damage. Flachette and dragons breath would do med. damage.

My idea is that when someone spawns within 100m (or whatever is considered a good distance) the players within that radius have a little bar pop up on their screen saying someone has spawned in their area. I think this would be very fair for everyone and would make the game less frustrating from some guy appearing behind you. It wouldn't give a specific location or name, just that a player has spawned in your area. With the distance being around 100m it also wouldn't give the players in that area a whole lot of room to guess where they might be. If it was like 30m for example you could reason the person spawned in the same block (if in the city).

    American Weapons and Russian Weapons

    I would like to see more civilian style weapons and more weapons that just make sense. Two weapons that come in mind as need to be in the game are the mosin nagant and sks. I bet those 2 guns are in most russian houses, considering how many were made. For civilian style weapons it would be pump shotguns, bolt action rifles, small handguns, etc.

    I find it funny how the 2 rifles OP listed are really random. How about for a rifle you add the mosin nagant? Ya know, that rifle that was standard issue to the millions of russian soldiers in WW1-WW2.

    Feeding and weapon cleaning

    You really dont need to clean guns that often. Any bolt action or military rifle you will find can go hundreds of shots before needing maintenance. The military method is after you shoot but in reality thats not necessary, as proven in many conflicts. Cleaning may be necessary for pistols but you are likely to die before firing enough to where the gun needs a cleaning.

    Get something small and put it on the key you want pressed down. I do that on my laptop with a few skateboard bearings.

    Add new types of loot buildings

    It would be nice to see multiple different types of stores added in cities. It would probably be very time consuming to do, but would be nice to see in a final version of the game. sporting goods stores- you can get baseball bats, hockey sticks, bags, water bottles, golf clubs, etc. Hardware store- you can get axes, hammers, shovels, various other handheld tools, and maybe car parts. Heavily looted gun shops- these would have no weapons giving the impression that everything was taken when the apocalypse started. you could get ammo of all kinds, camo and ghillie suits, backpacks, water bottles, binoculars, etc. General Store- This place would be like your local drug store. It has a little bit of everything. It would have food, drinks, bandages, painkillers, antibiotics, backpacks, etc. You should also be able to add new sights to some guns. It would be awesome to be able to find a red dot and toss it onto your m16 or whatever that only has iron sights. This of course would be limited to guns with rails for sights. You could also remove current sights on your guns and mix and match. Imagine a DMR with thermal, or even just a scope that you can zero would be great. Or even turning your m16 into a sniper with a scope.

    Make vehicles more common

    I wish vehicles were more common. Its unrealistic how rare they are. Even in a zombie apocolypse there would be plenty of working cars left behind. Other then cars, there would also be even a ton of bicycles. Everyone owns a bike. I have like 5 in my garage. It would make the game a lot funner if everyone could get their hands on a vehicle at least a few times. I got to ride a bike for about 50 feet then it fell over. Vehicles are way too hard to repair for a single person to do.

    Cut down inventory space !

    I think we should have more inventory. Or make certain items stackable. Bandages, magazines, lee-enfield clips, matches, painkillers, morphine/epi-pen should all be stackable since they are small items. If you divided a backpack into even amounts of space like in this game, a bandage obviously wouldnt fill the entire space like a can of food or water bottle would. Its not hard to make like 10 mags of handgun, 2 sodas, 2 food cans, many bandages, painkillers, matches, lights, etc. etc. into a school backpack. You could fit a month or two worth of supplies into a larger pack for hiking. I believe we should continue to start out with a backpack and backpacks should be more common. Everyone has a school backpack or at least some sort of bag you can carry on you at home. We should also have more inventory in general. Other than the backpack and the vest your guy wears (for the mag and bandage inv.) what about pants pockets or even secondary pouches? I can fit a handgun in the pocket of my jeans, as well as many mags or other flat objects in the front or back pockets. I can fit tons more in cargo pants. As far as the toolbelt... leave it. Carrying around matches, a hatchet, flashlight, knife, watch (which shouldnt be in here, it goes on your body), map, compass, or even entrenching tool isnt unrealistic at all. Half those items weigh next to nothing and are small. I do disagree with the toolbox thing though. It seems too big for a survival game where you carry around everything. It also doesnt take a toolbox to set up barb wire. That requires gloves...

    The blood meter needs balancing

    The blood meter is a good idea but is way too unbalanced. You bleed too easily and bleed out too fast. I dont think a zombie scratching at you would inflict a wound big enough to bleed to death from. Also, there is no blood clotting or blood regeneration. Your blood meter should slowly refill since the body naturally makes blood. Also, falling short distances shouldnt make you bleed. Earlier today I fell off a staircase about 5-6 stairs up and I bled to death after falling unconcious (sp?). Unless you smash your face against the ground (and I landed on my feet) then theres no way you would be bleeding. I realize this mod isnt a final product but this is something the developers should've done automatically.

    You should be able to get swords at castles and metal candle stands at churches.
  20. Zombies are way too strong. I just took a 4k blood hit, fell unconcious, and bled to death. It was completely rediculous. There should be a less chance of bleeding or breaking bones. You wont bleed like a firehose on full blast by being clawed at a few times. Also, when you break bones why do you always fall on the ground? Are your leg bones made out of paper? I also think you shouldnt be knocked out unless your blood is low. You really shouldnt be knocked out by a zombie clawing at you. It takes some hard impacts to the head to knock someone out. The zombies around 1.7-1.7.1 were good. Rocket needs to stick to what was working and build off of it instead of constantly messing with everything. I understand this game is a work in progress but I dont like dieing because of dumb crap.
  21. I have a few suggestions to add to the game 1. replace whiskey bottles with vodka bottles. Since when is russia known for its whiskey? Its no big deal but is kinda annoying considering the location. 2. Make shotshells generalized. 12 gauge shotshells will work in a 12 gauge shotgun no matter the model of shotgun. Same with .45 acp. Let us just find bullets. For the m1911 have it come with 1 empty or full mag that you have to refill after shooting all the rounds. After you empty a mag it will go into your inventory as an empty mag. For revolvers you just load the bullets directly in. 3. flashlights shouldnt take the place of your handgun. I can hold a flashlight in one hand and a pistol in another. 4. fix the backpack capacity. I can fit 2-3x as much in a standard school backpack than whats allowed in the starting backpack. 5. make certain items stackable. Items that take next to zero space should be stackable. Bandages, maps, epi-pens, painkillers, morphine, and chemlights as examples. Another thing, painkillers should come with multiple doses. You dont find a bottle of aspirin with 1 pill in it and if you found multiples of that you would put them all in 1 bottle. 6. You should be able to give yourself blood. It doesnt take another person to put a needle in your arm and hold up a bag. Maybe just make it take awhile.

    I just died from a zombie who basically knocked me out, made me bleed, and broke a bone in one hit and I bled out from like 6k blood because i was unconcious for so long. I lost so much nice stuff too.
