I do server hop when i am dying from the game broken mechanics. While i do consider it fair to start from scratch when i am getting killed by zeds or other players, i do not agree to spend my hours to get back my hard earned gear just because glitched stairs or rabbits. I have run after a rabbit and died. I have agreed to test this game and i never complained about anything regarding the multitude of issues, but i do not agree to spend another already spent time because a glitched stair. So, even if i am killed by a hacker, (just happened once in 300 hours but i am just 75% sure of him being a hacker) i am starting over on a regular 10+ server. If the game issues/problems kills me, i gear up in less than 15 minutes and then i am going as fast as i can to the same spot i was killed trying to live from there as if the game/stair/rabbit did never happened to me. But that's just me. You can all say you never logged and also you never geared fast. That is just between you and your mirror when you look at it in the morning. The timer seems just fine for me, but i also think that something should be done to differentiate the combat logging from server "connection lost" and other kind like this, other than the intentional logging i mean. No idea how can be done though :(

I've run away while he was screaming "hey man, please stop" with that puberus voice we have all heard at some point. I would have stayed to be killed with no issues but i was curios to see all new addition because i i have'nt played in a while and was just barrely escaped the "killing fields" of eastern coast.

my thermals are not weapon mountable. while one is small enough to be one hand held, the other one is a binocular big and heavy. the op was asking about thermals in general. no need to be weapon mountable and if they are rare and can be destroyed by shots or melee hits, i am happy to see them in game. and one more point: the thermals are eating batteries like hell (unlike nvg's) so keeping them running for long period of times is unrealistic. @zedertone: my mistake. addresing to gibonez. @gibonez: wealthy is a matter of point of view. i am just lucky i guess.

well... i have 2 of them and one pvs-14. Eastern Europe. Is not that easy to find as a helicopter, i give you that, but even in EE we have them.

Every single player in DayZ has his own understanding of the game dynamics so everybody play it as they make them happy. This situation is no different at all. Even a complete retard knows how to write "no english" in direct com and if you don't you should not be on a multiplayer game where people come from all over the world talking ENGLISH when needed. i don't know how much i will be of help but here goes: people tend to confuse "laptops" with ROG laptops which is a totally different machine from a regular laptop on so many ways that i don't even want to start on this matter. even more, g750 is one of the fastest "mobile" machines today. if you want to call a 5kg system mobile. - i have a G750 and i play with most quality setting enabled, at 1920x1080 more than fluid. :) with driver 335.23 - unfortunately, while you have a powerful graphic card (yes, you can't see/use the built in haswell card because it's hardware disabled) dayZ in current state does not use more than 30% of your graphic card, but will stress the CPU at max. this might change when the optimisation will start. - things for you to check/consider: 1.poor CPU thermal dissipation.Use a CPU stress program and see if and for how long the CPU can maintain (if reachable) it's 3400 turbo speed.if it cant maintain the turbo speed (1 hour is a good sign) it means that it reaches thermal throtling and the CPU will "step down" 2. check if you have any of the "miracle" ASUS software for power management installed. if you do, uninstall it and rely on WIN8 power management system. set it to maximum performance and give it a shot. good luck

two things i am very sure of, after 200 hours on game. 1. the zombies have no AI whatsoever. zero. nada. you can tell with 100% accuracy what a zombie (or all) is going to do. i know for sure they are going thru walls till they get to me. this is all i need to know. 2. whatever we are trying to say, the next 125,415 answers are "it's alpha, placeholders!" Go figure... Even i know it's alpha. What i am trying to say is: if they are placeholders stop working on them. Keep the hats and other clothing systems coming while you are silently working on something that cannot be called "placeholders" and at least remotely be called "AI" Before the 2 "factions" (quite clear declared here) of this forum starting to accuse me: I don't play games. I've bought 2400 usd computer ~1 week ago so i can play THIS GAME. So i think it's quite obvious i want to keep playing it.
