What dayz could have been without zombies

I would love it, but then i think back to games like the stalker series or fallout 3(heavily modded to make it more of a survival game) and i enjoy the presence of zombies, mutants, etc. If with a big emphasis on if they can get the zombies functioning to where they are an actual threat and add something to the game, I will gladly welcome the challenge but for that they need hordes of zombies running around, zombies to function properly(not phasing through walls and so on), stealth involving zombies to be fixed, diseases to be more prevalent and the survival part of the game more fleshed out and it needs to be made harder. But if they cant get the working right I say to hell with them and add things like cannibalism and all the horrible things you would expect from an apocalypse. Actually add cannibalism in anyways, it would make for an interesting mechanic and would add to and create more play styles. -
Current Zombies are "placeholders". What will final zeds look/be like?

I want the zeds to be dumb as hell but persistent and very sensitive to noise and for there to be large hordes roaming around filled with zeds of varying speeds and stances. Think of how awesome it would be to be in a town then every corner you turn down theres a mass of zombies and you have to get somewhere high and either wait for them to lose interest or aggro someone else or fight them off. But if there are hordes i wouldn't want them to be able to climb ladders. -
I would be for it if they were separated by servers otherwise you can kill someone then they hop on their other toon and run back and kill you and so on

Hate to say it but its alpha. I would rather them work on core things instead of balancing loot and all that crap. I promise as soon as the whole survival part is made harder the cod kosers will run for the hills or just stop playing, which in turn will make the community better. -
Correct me if I'm wrong, but humans are Omnivores for a reason. If your in a survival situation you would be a complete and total idiot to refuse to "murder" an animal if that was the only source of food available. Omnivores have an edge over straight carnivores or herbivores in situations where food is scarce. I would love to see a vegan starve to death because they were too stupid and ignorant to "murder" and animal to survive. I guess all the humans for the past thousands of years are cold blooded horrible murderers. Hate to break it to you but killing an animal for food, especially when your could potentially die is not murder. More bacon for me

So I was thinking about vehicles and......horses popped into my head

So I was thinking about how horses would work as a possible means of transportation. Vehicles such as cars and what not will require fuel and repairs im assuming, like the did in the mod. Horses could require a form of this as well in the shape of food, water and possible injuries that if sever enough would kill or force you to kill the horse such as legs getting broken or being shot. This would give people an alternative means of transportation that would have its own pros and cons just like vehicles. While riding a horse you are potentially easier to shoot and you run the risk of having the horse shot out from underneath you and so on. However they would be better for navigating tougher terrain such as forests where most motor vehicles wont fit, they would be quieter since you could make them walk and so on and you could build saddle bags for a bit of extra storage, but the bags could be shot potentially ruining what you have in them. You could tie them to posts or trees while you loot and so forth. They could be stolen but unlike a car could make alot of noise if someone other than their normal rider tries to mount them. They of course would be much slower than motor vehicles, which would still make cars and what not the fastest way for getting around. The horses could be found on farms or potentially roaming around after they got loose. Just my thought, to me horses seem like they would fit perfectly in a survival game Thoughts guys? -

If you insist on breaking legs do this: Find 2 people, break their legs, then make them crawl race. Whoever wins gets a splint/morphine and some food the loser gets killed. Problem solved

simple as this: don't shoot them, whack them upside the head with an axe. Problem solved, less spawn if you don't shoot. The best part about the spawning is KoS'ers and campers and what not wont just be able to run around all willy nilly and actually have to pay attention to the zeds instead of just shooting people for no reason.

Found the gun and a mag at the airstrip near svetlojarsk, but passed it up because you unfortunately cant customize it and the mag is only 7 rounds.

Well I suppose I should introduce myself and stop lurking in the woods. So i'm Jackson, names the same in game and i'm generally a friendly player. There is nothing I despise more than bandits, so my favourite past time is sniping them and or killing them with random syringes, although i tend to have psychopathic, homicidal tendencies at times. im more in favor of less military items, mosins and hunting rifles ect should be way more common than military grade weapons( i dont consider a mosin military grade when matched up with current era military weapons) and i sure as hell dont want people running around with thermals. Most people i come across are decked out in military fatigues and gear, when in reality it would be more people in civilian wear. Also i don't want heli's due to the fact that big groups and bandits will use them to control everything and or harass everyone. Vehicles i'm fine with, just not heli's.

i'm paranoid to an unhealthy amount, every little thing makes me freakout, this paranoia has carried over to every other game i play and real life lol
