If you shoot on sight why do you do it?: I always have a just cause. I'll only KoS if they're aiming at me or if they are a direct threat to me or other peaceful players. I used to shoot everything that moved back when I was a noob. What is your opinion on people who shoot on sight?: I don't like them. DayZ is all about danger, but they should at least take their time and handcuff - make it interesting. Do you think they are just pure douche bags that ruin your DayZ experience?: Sometimes. Depends on the situation. Should they be ashamed of themselves?: Only if they KoS without reason.

That's why you stalk them, wait till they stand still and take them down 600 m away with a Mosin.

It's safe, don't worry. The amount of distrust is baffling... jeez. Anyway, no I wouldn't shoot you on sight unless you were a direct threat to me or others (which you clearly aren't). And I ain't giving you special treatment, that's just how I play the game.

Okay, I wasn't there but I'll give you my perspective on the case. One scenario is that they were hacking which sounds plausible given what you said. However, major server lag can cause cheating-like behavior such as glitching through walls, involuntary teleporting, and a disconnect between the client and the server (i.e what you see is different from what the server or other sees, which is also how teleporting occurs). So it's not impossible that they saw you run into bush. Anyway, don't quit DayZ. There's a lot to explore. I can give you some survival tips if you want, just throw me a PM when you feel like it.

I've found three in the last week: One pristine, the other badly damaged, and my current damaged. Doesn't matter though, quality doesn't affect the precision as of yet. I suggest you find a server that recently restarted and head straight for the North Western Airfield. They usually spawn in the hangars if the place is unlooted. They aren't that rare if you know where to look, but it's unlikely that you'll find more than one or two on each map if you exclude players. Hope it helps.
