Hunting snipers in Cherno! (I got very lucky, a lot of times)

I don't think it makes any difference. -

Does that even exist in Standalone? -

Those guys suck at hunting. Don't take your shot until the target stands still. -
Name 5 thinga you want the most for dayz asap.
Zalvager replied to Serious Stan's topic in General Discussion
Less bugs, more uses for pre-existing items, improved ACOG and PU scopes so they zoom adequately, better zombies, and cooking. -
When will bandits realize that you run away from people who're repeatedly punching you until you can get a steady shot.

Rate on a scale from 1 to 10. 1 being the lowest, 10 being the highest. Would loot, rob ... marry (ladies)? And why? (To mods: I know this is a rather unserious thread that probably fits better into the boundaries of a forum game, but since it's DayZ themed, I thought it was appropriate. I hope it's okay.)

I do if I'm at an airstrip or something. However, I strongly recommend hunting cabins and small sheds as an alternative. Really? He deserves it just because he logged out in a building? Explain why. He was defenseless, no need to KoS.

To Rhodes: Nice outfit man. You're a road warrior now. It is therefore mandatory that you play this on your mic while walking through Elektro like a badass. To Mull: Awesome clothes. I like the indigenous Russian look. Keep the SKS unless you find a LR scope! It looks awesome. 10/10 would befriend.

Frankly, I do play as a soldier. I help and protect people, so I guess my cliche choice of clothing is justified.

Did you know that REAL people are the ones who mix up clips/magazines? It doesn't get much more realistic than that, does it?
-
I saw this post on reddit earlier today: http://imgur.com/a/rhJYA But I have a soft spot for TTsKO. --- Edit: And yeah, I used to KoS when I was new because I did everything my friend commanded. Now I tend to play alone or in big groups.

Far from everyone. Most people go for the same setup but with an M4 w/ a mountain back, ballistic helmet and a gasmask instead. I'm contemplating whether or not I should go for a more discrete look next time. Anyway... not bad. You look like a sheriff of sorts. You should consider getting the blue mountain backpack instead. 10/10 for originality. I would probably engage you slowly. Scout you for some time, and when the time is right, I'd hide somewhere nearby and talk to you. Edit: Oh and no problem.

Interesting, but with all due respect I think you should post a picture even though your description is quite concise.

This happens to me everytime i entre a military building

You could have looked through the prison window and see if anyone was there or if any doors were open. -
My take on why violence occurs in DayZ: We spend hours travelling from Solnichy to Elektro to get some mediocre gear, hopefully a rifle. Then it's Balota Airstrip, and in most cases straight to the North Western Airfield. That takes a long time. Usually between 2-4 hours all depending on how well you know the map. When we finally meet a player, we can never be sure of their intentions. We don't know if they wanna do us harm or good. It's not a risk we're willing to take. We don't want to be confronted with the "You are dead" screen, and the realization that we're pissing our lives away playing pointless game. (mostly a joke post)

It's not a "clip"! Stop pretending like you've actually held a gun before!

As a professional internet asshole, it really bothers me when people whine about trivial and insignificant things. -
Well, if they implement a dynamic weight system so items each have their own designated weight, people might think twice before carrying loads of weapons.
-
It's just the admins sending false messages to mess with you. Don't worry, toilet needs haven't been implemented yet.

Once upon a time in Balota, a medic was born...

Don't glitch or hack. It's pathetic. -
Do you believe people who shoot on sight are terrible at DayZ?
Zalvager replied to GriefSlicer (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
Bandits and glitches are the only threats in the game. So far, shoot outs and looting are what keeps people playing. By shooting a person you get gear, thus fulfilling the former. I think a lot of the bandit-whining comes from people who recently got killed by a guy right after finding some sick loot. Honestly I only mind people who kill anything on sight. Bandits who engage in conversation, use handcuffs, etc. are okay with me. -
I now have a theme song when I walk through towns
Zalvager replied to oregonized's topic in General Discussion
Consider using this: or if you're of the more aggressive type: But nice song btw. -
Why putting heart attacks in game makes no sense
Zalvager replied to Rick1633's topic in General Discussion
I agree. Even though I'm guilty of using the current running mechanics, I would like to see more in-depth health management. -
Thoughts on contextual actions (mainly hand to hand)
Zalvager replied to Slyguy65's topic in Suggestions
Sounds good. I feel like it would encourage group travelling. Having some ruthless bandit sneaking up behind you with a roll of duct tape, knocking you unconscious with a t-shirt soaking in chloroform would add a sense of constant paranoia in populated areas. Especially on hardcore servers. -
For a post-apocalyptic game people want helicopters ... really? I forgot: Everybody in the wasteland is helicopter pilot. Of course ALL characters know how to fly a helicopter. Okay, I'll drop the sarcasm. If they were to add choppers, they should focus on making the controls 100% realistic. If you can't fly one IRL, you're likely to fail in the game as well. I don't want bambis or random bandits to fly around in helis. It would kill the game. Keep it post-apocalyptic. Somehow, the majority of Chernarus died out, including top-trained soldiers. So if they're gonna add helis, the vast majority should be wrecks
