Yes that is what a portion of players seem to want. I actually have no idea how large the no alternate voip party is in this community. I have seen threads about it though since I have been lurking around here. I think personally it would be nice to at least have the option on private server once that all comes down and the game is in retail. It could be helpful for those looking to play out scenario based RP if they want. If one really wants a survival simulation that is something more than just gaming then I would say no outside voip is far more realistic in that case. I am not really for or against in the long run though I am use to it from most games I play(ed).

In reality I agree that video games are not a "sport" but then I also accept that things change whethere I agree or not. You don't actually get to decide this. It is a matter of personal preference. I could sit and stare at ant hills and if I can convince others it is worthwhile I may have a new sport on my hands. Things change deal with it :D

I don't sit and watch streams. I find them pretty boring. I am a gamer that would prefer to play. I DO watch sports, politics, news, and many MANY other things. I watch table tennis and soccer, I really enjoy watching golf on TV. People might think I am an idiot for doing any of those things and that is their choice. I am glad I live in a world as diverse as we do; We can all watch what we like and not really step on anyone for the most part...until we start judging others for what they view.

I must have just died so many times at this point I simply don't give a frack anymore. I don't feel anything for dying in this game. I just start another meat bag and see what I can do with them. The only investment you made was in your own entertainment. If this game is not giving you a good ROI you might think about trying a different genre. See the flaw here is that they really don' have to. I know you desire them to and frankly so do I not just in game but in the world we live in out here. That does not mean they will. We are surrounded by leaders that act like children, and many others in places of power that need to make everything into a pissing match. There is a reason so many people act that way... It takes a lot more energy and effort to be and live in a mature way. What I mean is a way to live with them not against anyone but yourself. They do need to grow up but so often people do not do what they need and make mistakes from their immaturity. Rather than judge them why not try and help them see a better way by living that way in front of them and talking to them and finding out how to help them along the path. Takes a lot less out of you to help someone than to judge them.

I think rather than human nature being one of killing it is one of winning or success. In the last 100,000 years man has had far more reason to kill to win or succeed than other methods. It is only in the last say several hundred years that the focus has shifted and yet we have not learned or matured much yet. In another 1000 years this will be a question of the way it was not the way it is. It is all about wininng not necessarily killing. Killing has just classically been the easiest way to win. Things are changing...they always do.

I hear what you are saying and have had this conversation before with people in my job life. the words hacker and cracker are being used incorrectly in this case. And almost all cases because of idiots journalists trying to sound intelligent. This article even though kind of old now I think defines it pretty well in straight forward terms of what hackers use to be defined as and what a cracker is and how they should differ. I would not call what happens in this game hacking or cracking. The phrase script kiddie comes to mind. Probably because it has never happened to them. Seems often people like to deny that which they have not experienced in life with their own senses. Maybe sitting them down in a roller coaster with a motion sensative individual and letting them see how it unfolds would be educational.

I have been in some strange situations in life... Actually it is. Some people are more tolerant to this style of game and understand it. Others will play it anyway with very little tolerance to others death or people not doing what they want. Call it what you will that is how I refer to it. If you are indifferent they you don't give a crap thus dying has no bearing on emotional state. Something that this game is often bringing out in people. These are my opinions argue them all you like. They are just one way of thinking and there are billions of us with other views.
