People just need to get over it. This place is russia about as much as it is middle earth... Some people have a hard time with other peoples imaginations or understanding fiction.

What does that mean exactly? I can think of some realistic things that no person without a serious case of OCD would touch in any game. There is a point at which you go to far. Only so much "realism" can realistically be programmed into a system that would actually function and not require a super duper ridiculous server environment on the other end. I can think of a number of things right this second I would never want to do in a game that I do in real life. -actually have to sleep... wow that would be fun watching myself sleep in a game. Realistic yes. Fun for me no. Others I am sure will disagree with all kinds of reason I suck so have at it.

LOL I get what you are saying. I guess it could work. How about making a good one drop as an item but make it have a duration. I would have it last half as long as a crafted one and take twice as much damage if you crawl prone wearing it. I would also make it take up an entire bag in space to carry if not worn.

Unless you loot a sporting goods store I don't see how this adds to realism. Making one with sticks and junk is one thing. Getting the walmart version does not seem to hold with the spirit of this game... just like a lot of the loot is starting to seem. I say leave them out if you can just pick one up. Just makes the game more and more fps and less survivally. Some things can be left out sure in survival but adding things that make it less that just seems cheap. I could care less about lazy people. They make the rest of us look bad and consume more than they earn from my experiences in life.

If there were animals to hunt and they had a system that had any "senses" this could be a good addition to game play.

If it goes in wiping had better be with it then and the infections that follow when you don't. KOS will at least have a reason then. No more looking for pristine banana now it will be dry TP.

There is one good thing about it if it does come down that way. The videos people record should at least become more interesting...Can't wait to see the server names either.

I am not sure where you live but there is never no wind where I live. Having said that most modern tech that helps sniping basically does. The true skill lies in being able to get undetected into a tree outside the drug lords house in a heavily guarded area of some country have the patience and fortitude to wait three days with almost no sleep then do you job and come home alive. edited out the vulgarity. It isn't squeamishness. Not for me at least. It is a desire to do certain things with my time. I already spend time pooping in real life. I don't need that simulated in a game. I do not spend time trying to dodge zombies and kill thirsty players in real life. That I am happy to have simulated. It is about time and effort to me and I don't think you will find enough purist survival simulation only players that could support a game that goes all the way down that path. You need to find balance not utter and total realism. Pooping I think would just become an act of tedium after a while anyway. It would get seriously annoying after a few weeks of getting merc'd over and over while trying to squat over a log while snipers follow you around just waiting so they can kill you while you crap. the other thing being that if you want this level of realism then what about wiping? If you don't wipe you get rash that becomes infected and you die. Should they add that as well. Then everyone will be looking for the holy grail of clean leaves or the one roll of toilet paper that spawns on each server. Really curious why this thread is still open. It seems the poll is against clearly against and has not been for at any time of its posting. I think the point has been made. There are about 1000 other more pressing things that need to be worked out before they can even think about a beta.

I have seen zero evidence of this. I have not seen any hacking to date. I have seen plenty of glitching though but that deals more with exploiting badly coded terrain and buildings more than anything. I cannot speak to the topic you broached here. Do you have some proof that the server is currenly allowing this action? If you are right it seems that battleeye would see a difference in the expected script and eventually ban the users client that was dissimilar? Or is it that blind that it does not?

What are you asking for? Just because you say "no hacking" doesn't actually stop people. From what I have known of the internet and children, the first thing that would happen if you used those words in a server name is every hacker that could would come and exploit your server just to defy you. There is no easy solution at the moment.

I understand that you could have been the bigger person and just not used threatening remarks and kept that sort of violence in game. I could care less how many times someone calls you a name or acts thick and arrogant to you. I will never agree that the threat of violence verbally or in text is right. I understand that there was no need no matter how ridiculous he acted because in the end you just stooped.

I found a second source using the data you list above. Not sure how accurate but the entire site is about these suits. Here is a small copy paste. The ghillie suit originated in Scotland well over a century ago. Go commit violence against him in game instead. It does not help make the community here a better place for any of us. Yes but the best one are made not bought by a user. The best are made with local foilage and materials not just ordered on Amazon and shipped. If players have to craft them I would say include them. If you can just walk up and grab one I say leave them out.

I live in the N hemisphere around the 42 par. As long as the moon is high in the sky it can be even a half moon and it throws good reflected light. Not as good as full but still could see more than pitch black. I have seen moons so bright here you could read outside at night.

Sort of fun that they only have one... totally defies the actual fact the planet is revolving around the sun but hey its China.

I like the idea of red filter or blue. Moon light would be a nice solution to less pitch black without having to gamma cheat the game.

Is that not the point? Pitch black forced to deal with it with in game items and methods. I would like to see torches added and I mean the kind made from rags fuel and a rod. Not the other word for flashlight. I would love to see lanterns added as well once they institute some sort of base building to use as perimeter lighting that would illuminate a small radius around the wall they are on. If you can just "cheat" the night what is the point in even having it?

You realize this is a private forum right? Freedom of speech only applies to public venues. I can kick you out of any private place I run simply for what you are saying. you have no expecation of this right inside of any private setting. He warned him because calling someone even a nameless person faceless entity out over their country of orgin, ethnicity or the historic actions of others is really unfair. Should his joke be considered hate? I don't have an answer but I do know it was not said with love. If he had called him out personally he would have been doing no better. As an admin he is attempting to protect all of our rights by doing his job.
