well, the fact that developers hadn't fixed this bug for AGES literally shows that it isn't so far fetched to claim that they introduced new bug - holding breath not working properly. Just now I managed to kill a zombie at 600 meters from 2 shots. But keep in mind, that they were stationary and I actually am pretty good and sniping and aiming. But for a moving person it would be impossible, especially if he was at 800 meters. It has nothing to do with weapon preferance. Kids who use AKM only use because of its "infinite 75 round mag" because they can't hit shit with other weapons which require some experience in dayz, not 3 hours a week logging on only to serverhop for that AKM and kill a deer. Many people who play dayz don't even know about holding breath and how to do that. Yet they come to this thread and post shit.

Holding breath is bugged. When you press the key (for me it is R key), the sway stops for literally one nano-second and then returns instantly. And one nano-second isn't even enough time to press a damn mouse key to shoot a person, let alone correct your aim. I wouldn't complain if it was 2 seconds. God, even 1 second would be enough, but it is not that. It is a split, a 1/16th of a second at best. This isn't realistic, this is retarded.

Use a splint on your head. Try aiming it at more than 100 meters with LRS, ok? It is bugged. It worked in 48 patch just fine. Why would developers completely remake the feature after they JUST invented it several patches ago and fixed non-realistic zero sway and introduced an actual pattern of sway? Answer these questions to yourself and then come back to the thread.

It is a BUG and needs to be fixed. Holding breath function in game is for a reason and since 49 patch it doesn't work at all. If people tried playing the game before posting nonsense about how "realistic it is now" or how "you never carried 10kg weapon" they would know what OP means.

but it is the point of the game, to shoot first or die first. Russians are at least more proactive (at least how I observed from streams and playing with them too) compared to americans and british people. Not saying either of this group is better players, it is all a matter of skill.

do you REALIZE that holding breath function is completely NON-EXISTENT in .49 build? And you complain about a bug that FIXES what developers FUCKED UP in a first place? Wow you people are terrible.

If only they were only 15-18... 99 percent of the servers that I play restart every god damn minute. It's like you are about to snipe someone and....no message received. This patch so far is the WORST.

Or better yet, MAKE TENS DYNAMIC EVENT. So that after every restart they moved around all over the map. :) Brilliant idea, isn't it? I don't need no medal.

I always loot through inventory screen, but no items appeared after I ran through all wooden tents in NWAF, while other tents had some loot. Maybe they are just too deep :))

As always, 49 fixed some big bugs (like duping), but introduced many new ones, like reload bug (a magazine is impossible to reload) or inventory bug (items stay in backpack sometimes when you want to drop them or switch etc. Also what's up with naked Vybor spawn glitch? Now 3 times out of 5 after I die I spawn in Vybor naked. Is it related to the fact that servers restart every 2 minutes? Also "waiting" screen bugs (or feature) even after server restart you have to wait 3 minutes to join a new server. Rubberbanding is back too (in some cases), but haven't experienced it personally. And I suppose it will take them another 6 months to LISTEN to community once again and fix broken scopes because it is impossible to hold breath now.

Loot stopped spawning not only in shacks, but in tents with wooden floors too. Also in one story corner buildings with two blue doors. Also in some other buildings, can't remember now. It is all OPTIMIZATION, brahs. Loot respawning and persistence doesn't work either, after 3 months of constant fixing. So yeah. This is dAyZ.

Gear means nothing in this game. It is all about surprise, acting first and being ACCURATE in your shootings. You can have the best gear and then later die to a guy with a shotgun.

Already got an update by mail! It's amazing! Found my first car and a new svd rifle in a first run to NWAF. Great update.

You do realize that there are hacks where people can loot stuff even if it is in textures? Or you never saw it yourself? Well, just giving you heads up then. Better to throw all hacked/duped gear into the ocean than leave it on the coast.

Duping is last resort against hackers. If developers do nothing to fight teleporting wallhacking speedhackers then what we can do when we die and lose our gear everytime? I heard in .50 patch there will be some fixes against hacking but I no longer believe Bugemia lies. Don't worry OP, sooner or later duping may be fixed, but you will still have hackers seeing you in 1km radius :)

Just got an email from one of the developers of the game. "The wipe will come some time soon" - Rocket

It's funny and at the same time sad that rocket at PAX claimed that hacking "is much less prevalent" in SA than in a mod. Dean obviously never went to Berezino in a full server (FR, UK, some german or Crazy Russia). There are like 20-30 full servers (at least), and whichever you join, you will find at least one hacker there and not counting half full servers, were those hackers just go looting all over the map and you are not sure you got killed legit or not at some military base or something. It is not that many people have hacks, it is that even 10 people with hacks on 10 different servers can really break the gameplay. And I am pretty sure it is not 10 people or else the hacks would be cheaper if not free at all. People pay for that shit, so there is demand and the price stays high.

Have they fixed duping? Nope. Don't expect 49 hit the stable any time soon. They are planning for next week, but we all know what "planning" means in Bugemia headquarters. Last time I checked duping worked just fine in experimental, haven't tried in this recent iteration though as it was so broken (like half of the features missing) that I hadn't had interest in playing more than 2 minutes in it. Wipe won't come this week. We can still enjoy our infinite sawed off shotguns, sks with 7933 rounds and more.

I have multiple steam accounts. So what. It is not "illegal" any more than having multiple pseudonyms on the internet. If you got banned, create another steam account and buy the game again. You or your friend learned their lesson, I guess. Hacking is fun for a day or two, but constantly playing with hacks is like jerking off to the same picture of nude Jennifer Lawrence all the time. It gets boring. Furthermore you have to be dumb to pay monthly subscription for a hack. It is like paying for porn. Only idiots do that.
