No Drama Gaming Community - All are Welcome DayZ Epoch
k2kstar posted a topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
We are a brand new community focused on our prime objective. Our mission is simple: Relying on the capable, motivated and willing individuals in providing a haven, an environment for players that people can be proud of being apart of. Communities come and go. No Drama is not one of them. Period. We understand that, it's made clear on how things work over the internet. People make a bunch of promises they cant keep. Developers and scripters come and go. Real life work takes precedence over several objectives. Things happen. Administration, moderators and even players make mistakes. As a community, we understand that gamers or people in general are use to this kind of treatment and have this looming experience and expectation from a lot of communities that are open to the public. We are not promising drama will not occur, its human nature after all. However, how we deal with it. Instead of revving and perpetuating the exhausting distractions, we have staff that will solve issues quickly, fairly and over-all, in a mature manner that people will see and come to respect. Communities are built by the players - True. But it also matters who's at the top and why. Its clearly obvious that a lot of communities die-off for rather simplistic reasons most of the time. A lot of times however, it has to do with who's running the community. As NDGaming decided to go public, its was important for anyone and everyone interested in participating in our community to understand who was running the show. We have professional, paid scripters and developers who are not only, contributing to our server's maintenance and hosting quality, but also long-term wise committed to providing a very consistent and fun environment for players. Simply put, we are here for a long time and doing things the right way. Also, making it clear. Any NDGaming personnel caught abusing their position in any fashion, will be stripped of any influence or power that individual may have been carrying. All NDGaming Admins are well aware that non-sense will not be tolerated and we feel it's important going public, that everyone is made aware of that. Please report any non-sense to support@nd-gaming.com or talk to us on TeamSpeak and we'll deal with any report or feedback. If your interested in the community, by all means, please contact us on TeamSpeak nd-gaming.teamspeak3.com:3019 and our website, currently under construction at this time. http://nd-gaming.com Our Communities first Server! DayZ Epoch This was the real news here. DayZ Server Info: 142.4.215.203:2502 Join our Server, have fun and make way into a brand new community! I said we had professional's working on our server, so might as well explain what's available going public day one. Infistar Anti-hack Vehicle Count 650+ Walking Dead Zombies (increased aggression+ more zombies) No Plot Pole Requirement Action Menu Custom Loot Table (Making it harder but far more rewarding) God Mode SafeZones (Not A.I. Protected) Self Blood Bag Custom Map Markers Build Snapping Added Trader Cities Halo Spawning Class System (Druggie or how about a Camper? Maybe a Russian spy? You choose) Animated Heli Crashes AutoRefuel & Repair Welcome Credits Sarge AI Mission AI Treasure Chest Event Voice in Side-Chat Disabled (No spamming!) No maintenance for bases! Indestructible bases! Overweight/Overburdened Disabled! Always Sunny Weed Farming/Dealing (Smoke it or sell it. You decide!) And that's just a start. Leaving out a lot, from custom vehicle tables to how loot spawns around the map to custom buildings and map changes that totally change the way chernarus looks. We wanted to beta test for nice period of time prior to going public so that all these options were available from the start, operational and practical to bug free. Nothing's perfect, but we work hard and are rather responsive to everything the community let's us know. Find a bug or just want to let us know anything in particular, please send us an email at support@nd-gaming.com and a admin will respond to you as soon as possible. Use our teamspeak for un-related games or groups? Go ahead! Have other games you think NoDramaGaming would like to support? we want to expand on our dedicated server box so opinions would be lovely. Let us know. Your opinion might be our next new direction for our staff. From us to you guys, thank you and we appreciate any feedback. -

I am looking for a competent scripter/developer that will be paid for his work. Self Bloodbag ESP Friendlys Flip Vehicle Suicide Bury Body Sarge AI Custom Map Markers Static AI BEC Controls Server Restarts Iron Domes AI Missions Halo Spawn Cargo Drop Heli Lift / Towing Intro Music Intro Credits Infistar Antihack Adjustable Fog Adjustable Color Filters Snow These are some of the scripts' Id like to have on the server. If you are interested in being paid (Paypal only) for the work done that we are asking for than expect immediate payment for your services. I am serious, as soon as the script/developer is on board. I will have a Vilayer dedicated box set up with a DayZ epoch server running on it. The community I have will attempt to explain everything we'd like upfront from you so that it's not a guessing game for the scripter. Because you are being paid, we expect some professionalism and respect cause that's how you'll be treated in return. We want this server to be done properly and we are looking for someone who has the free time to develop the server so that it's launched properly day one, a checkup at the end of the second week and a first month of the server running check. Please add me on steam, "zekex" is the username. You can also private message me on this forum. Lastly, you can poke me on communities private TS; ts22.gameservers.com:9411

Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)
k2kstar replied to SmashT's topic in General Discussion
Fanboyism like remarks don't deter me from appreciating the development cycle DayZ has gone through and might I remind people, this is a game being supported many years down the line so as of right now in it's current state of development; I am humbled and keen. Watchful of the obvious bugs and what-have-you that still plague the development process but nothing said that hasn't been said already so that out the way, let's talk zombies. Prior to, waste of bullets, not even remotely intimidating, could loot a backpack and switch out all the items in a crowded room of zeds. DayZ team listens to the opinions of us, Now, not saying all by the way but it kind of makes me smirk a little awkwardly (never said I wasn't sick in the head a little) hearing a lot of the complaints now. Its hard not to come off as brash or rude when you can quote people literately saying stuff like "zombie killed me, WTF?" and "Made me use a bandage? What the jahoosafats?!" and other carrying lingo of exact nature cause people know what jahoosa-anyways, back to the point at hand. Wow zombies actually done right. Aggro from far away and faster than you? I suggest you use your fists and learn to call yourself a good little boy or girl and get to defending yourself like your momma told you, you could. To say DayZ leaves you defenseless to the current nature of the horde and that the design mechanics have made it anywhere near the realm of impossible would be a joke. A remote challenge at best. At the end of the day, you couldn't get through that paragraph back there I'll sum it up. Stop crying, these zombies are awesome. Maybe you just weren't meant to survive amongst others since you struggle so hard to fend for yourself. -
Another [Discussion] Surviving Dusk/Nighttime in general - video related
k2kstar replied to en1mal's topic in General Discussion
Day verse Night gameplay. When the players are able to sacrifice their control over gamma and brightness, Id consider playing at night more than I do. Unfortunately, they feel that adding HDR effect's and everything as such will increase the player base to play more at night. The problem does not lie in the lighting mechanics but more in the mindset of the user. If a user is going to play at a night and has the option to either turn on his flashlight to try and be a legitimate player, add to the immersion and use the mechanics the developers have worked hard to create OR the user decides to turn up his gamma and brightness to see in the night as if it were daytime without any other light source. The user will do the latter therefor breaking immersion and at the same time, breaking my interest in investing any sort of seriousness into night time gameplay. -

Good day to all. First, Id' like to take a moment to welcome myself to the message boards. I've been a consistent reader and have been very entertained by a lot of the dedication, persistance and over-all support the vast majority of us gamer's have shown to a game that I myself spend a lot of time on. Now, on to the point of the thread. My team and I have access to a recording studio, actors, actresses, microphones and your run-of-the-typical programs that allow us to create the graphics and what-not necessary to develop a project that we have in mind. We have history in doing gaming-related things as such as the project we are trying to start up and I hope that me being vague isn't construed as just another random blip of an idea that quickly gets flushed and a waste of everyone's time. My team and I are looking for support for several different reasons. One of which is that we already have the time-line, basics for our execution and even demo-footage to show supporters of some of things we already have gotten on the way. But let's face facts here folks. This is a forum post on the internet and I don't want to blow smoke up anyone's rear so before I continue on so let me open with a few points. 1. Do not look for monetary gain. We are not promising it isn't possible, but if you want to be apart of it specifically for that. You are not what we are looking for. 2. This will take time and patience. We have a director, leadership and we are looking for people to fill specific roles. Adjustable of course and constructive criticism and feedback would be much appreciated. if you understand that, then this is what we are really looking for. 3. Despite leadership, we are a team. If you cannot work well with a team. Dont bother. Sorry to be rash, but let's not waste each other's time. 4. Maturity is a must. Our average team age is twenty-five. Men and women alike. If that' makes you uncomfortable, be honest with yourself. We will always consider the young and old but keep in mind, maturity is a must. 5. Love the game, love the process. You don't necessarily have to be a film-nut but if you don't understand the process, than you'll more than likely not be able to deal with our expectations. 6. Major roles are already written and filled. However like any film project, that is subject to change. (I really, REALLY dont want to give anyone's hopes up on that point before messaging back.) 7. If this project is done right. The team plans to visit the DayZ studio to meet, greet and photograph the developers and team. However, a meeting with Rocket would probably not happen nor do we claim to have the support of Bohemia or there team at this time. At the end of the day, we are trying to build something special that is first funny, comical and bond with the players that share the same love for the game we do. However, without support, we cant get far. I wanted to point that out and if you are still interested after all that honesty than you are probably the kind of individual we are looking to bring onto this team. We run on EST, keep in mind. However we have some roleplayers who are as far as Texas and California and some-how, we've managed to make it work for several years. A. You need a microphone, better the quality, the better the result. Skype. (Ventrilo from time to time, just for specific codec/volume control recording.) B. A toaster for a computer will not make it. If you feel you are getting -10 or less frames in major cities, we cant compensate for that. You need a good computer. C. Free-time. Cant stress it enough. Some of us have jobs+school but we manage. So if we can, you can also. If you dont have the minimum two hours to dedicate, forget it. D. No experience in this sort of thing? Not good at being a writer or actor/actress? That's A-OK! Your dedication and your expectation to have as much fun as possible is what we care about most. This is how Red vs Blue started. This is how Summit started. This is how ZeroPunctuation and other major influences in the gaming industry started. A simple mundane post of information that got turned into something people can get on board with. We are asking anyone with the time and ability to do the same. Our dream collectively is to do what we can to earn as much as possible so we may travel the world to see DayZ developers. To be inside the studio standing there asking questions. To give back in a way few of us do but all of us secretly WOULD LOVE TO DO. It may same mundane to most but we aren't looking for the most. We are looking for the few motivated individuals we can grind down from this single topic to try and draw on and feed. We plan on releasing a trailer within three month's or so. So like I said. There's no magical promises here, no piggy backing on anyone on this thread. We just want to see who'd be interested in participating, small or large and support from all DayZ gamer's. Cause besides our dream. We are of course doing this for future fans. Our hard work will pay off. I promise that much. -

Well, I do appreciate the support DayZ gamers. Asshole with a danish accent. To be absolutely honest, The "bandit-asshole" role as we can call it if you'd like has already been taken for quite some time now. But just the idea of someone speaking danish and acting like an ass at the same time would be very entertaining to take a listen to. I just have this reverse Hugh Laurie thing going off in my head just at the thought of that . Anyone interested, can send a private message to me and I would be happy to share all the details to get into contact with myself and my team. Also, @Alogos. I understand being cautiously curious. Makes perfect sense to me. I would be to. Who feel's like getting jerked about for their time now-a-days? Not myself.
