Hey guys, this is my first time posting to try to recruit for my Steam group, but if anybody would like to join a group devoted to DayZ, mod and SA, join OverTheRiver Gaming! The group is for people looking for others to team up with in game, to share knowledge and give tips about either game, or just to talk about anything in general. If you're interested, join! I look forward to seeing you :) -xXDeamonzXx

Name 5 thinga you want the most for dayz asap.
xXDeamonzXx replied to Serious Stan's topic in General Discussion
Let's see, what do i want to see the most... 1. Performance issues and bugs fixed (i know that's all being worked on already) 2. Vehicles and Vehicle attatchments (who wouldn't want a top mounted mini gun on a firetruck? Don't forget the plow on the front!) 3. Persistent Storage (like tents and such) 4.Player constructions/bases ( that you can put all that persistent storage in :P ) 5. Zombie hordes!!!! I'm talking World War Z style. B) -
If anybody is willing to help me ASAP and doctor up my broken leg/legs so i can get back to finding loot, i would be very appreciative and even be willing to part with my Pristine MP Buttstock in return. If you're willing, add me on Steam. My name is xXDeamonzXx :P Thank in advance :D

Me and bro desync whenever we play together on the same server.
xXDeamonzXx replied to wmike20052's topic in Troubleshooting
Don't quote me on this, because i'm not positive about it... But i think the desyncing has something to do with you and the server being connected. If you and your brother are playing from the same house/net signal, then it may just be that you don't have enough bandwidth for you both to be playing. If you hadn't noticed already, DayZ currently takes up a ton of bandwidth. I don't usually have a problem with desync, but as soon as anyone else at my house gets on the internet, i get desync quite a bit, sometimes enough that i get disconnected. But like i said, i don't know if that's what it is forsure. As far as i know and from what i've read, the Devs know about that bandwidth issue and are working on getting it fixed. Hopefulyy that will be soon... lol -
The biggest problems that i feel need to be given priority is the fact that Zombies can phase through walls and they can see you from further than you can see them, even while you're prone. That and the fact that it's atrociously hard to stay connected to the servers. Other than that, all i see is a sniveling whiner.

So, a little backstory before i get started... I just bought the Day Z SA on the 25th, and it is my first time ever playing. No, not even the mod... So of course, i died alot. The only exception is the character involved in this story... I had been playing this character for around 6 hours. Before i made my way to the Northern Airfield, i had an SKS with some rounds, a Magnum with plenty of ammo, and a firefighters axe. Plenty of food, plenty of inventory space. So i go to the NAF. I spend a little while there, walking around looking for the amazing drops i had heard so much about. I wasn't really worried about getting killed, the zeds went down with one swing of my axe, and at that time, i was the only person on the server. I search the whole Airfield. I find some decent loot, including an FNX45 with a clip in the same building and 30 rounds in the next. But my real goal was the M4. So i keep searching, to no avail. I find weapon attachments for the M4 and a PU scope for my SKS, but not the M4 itself. So soon enough, i get tired of pointlessly wandering around. I log off for the night, hoping to get some sleep. The next day, i log in again and get into the game. Once again, i get lucky enough to be the only player on the server, so again, i'm not worried about being killed. I start the search for that elusive M4 once more, and sure enough, underneath a bed in the barracks nearby, there it is... My heart stopped, because i had my doubts. I pick it up, drop my SKS, and start pimping it out. A Pristine MP buttstock, a Worn Picattiny hand guard (i can't remember the actual name for it) and a Weapon Flashlight. I resume my search, hoping to find an ACOG scope or Atlas Bipod, and as i walk into the last building, spotting the bipod on a shelf, i go for it... No sooner do i start moving, i hear a click, and BOOM! 'You are Dead.' Of course, i'm pretty peeved. But i'm not going to be a douche about it... It's all a part of the game. So i type into the chat, 'Dude, that was cold...'. And the reply? 'I've been following you for about 30 minutes now...'. He had logged in pretty soon after i checked the player list. I felt so stupid, that i just logged out.
