What's the current hacking status like in DayZ:SA?
the-gadget replied to RadikulRAM's topic in General Discussion
I second that. Every time my group goes to their "pvp zone" NE airfield, we find a group of VX9 guys camped out in one of the buildings with at least 1 person 3rd person glitching and 1 person camping the door. -
Thoughts on population distribution

The people gravitate towards the spawns. NW airfield easily has the largest potential for loot and that area is mostly unpopulated due to the fact that, if you die, you would have to run all the way back from the east coast. So, the problem is more related to spawn locations than anything. In another post, I suggested that they break the maps up in to "spawn regions" and if you died in "region 1", you would respawn somewhere in "region 1". Let's say each region was 3,000 meters by 3,000 meters. If you died in one corner of that region and spawned at the furthest corner from your death, it would be a 4,000 meter hike back to that location. The size of the spawn locations would be tweaked of course but I think that 3,000-4,000 meters would be a good starting point. I think that doing this would allow people to really play all over the map without the excessive run back. -
Sorry but my list is 6 1. Fix the zombies (they shouldn't clip walls. They shouldn't "auto aggro" upon respawn. etc etc) 2. Make silencers actually work. 3. Some sort of vehicle system 4. Break the map in to spawn regions. If you die in region 1, you respawn somewhere in region 1. (this would promote playing in all areas of the map instead of the "hot zones" being in the area of current spawn locations). These regions would ideally be somewhere near 4000 meters x 4000 meters. 5. Base building / fortification 6. (This one is probably the most important) Stop adding crap into the game if you can't fix your current problems

I am also having a problem with the game minimizing. I can easily click on the Dayz icon on my toolbar and the game comes back with no issue. It happens pretty frequently though and it makes the game unplayable during those time sensitive situations (IE getting shot at or chased by zombies). I get no errors and have pretty much eliminated as many background programs as I can. I have verified that my video drivers are current. Verfied game files. Re-installed the game. I have also lowered video settings but this is a BRAND NEW Evga GTX 770 with 4g of ram and ACX cooling so I can't possibly see my GPU being overworked or overheated on most settings. I have been running speccy in the background so that I can see the temps of everything (cpu, gpu, hard drive etc) when the game crashes but all see to be well within tolerance. System specs below: CPU Intel Core i7 860 @ 2.80GHz 104 °F Lynnfield 45nm Technology RAM 16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 664MHz (8-8-8-21) Motherboard Gateway H57M01 (CPU 1) 96 °F Graphics SONY TV (1920x1080@60Hz) 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 (EVGA) 90 °F
