I'd argue that you can carry more ammunition for the AKM, that's if you have Drum magazines of course.

Hi guys, This isn't a bug report, hence why it is not in bug reporting area on this forum :- but I'm wondering if some of these things are just affecting me, or everyone else. Tried to play stable today and faced several issues that outright prevented me from playing the game. Some of the following. Every time I bandage, I only get the option 'cancel current action'. Once this goes away, my character does some weird animation like he is being handcuffed and eventually bandages. sometimes I cannot bandage at all, and have to just log out.The second issue I have is with some of the zombies, they slide along the ground in the dead animation and still hit you. It is difficult to hit them back because they don't seem to be where my client thinks they are. Zombies are also hitting me through the wall, or hitting the air in a place I was in several seconds ago, still managing to get hits into me, and ruin several items.My character will randomly decide to throw his weapon away, and I'm not pressing G. Very frustrating.When I was in the grass in prone, firing my mosin at some attackers , I was doing a full reload cycle after every single shot. This was pretty gamebreaking, I could only get one shot off every 5 seconds.Drinking water does some animation where I appear to be getting knocked out, but I just get back up.Using morphine freezes my character to the spot. I have done this several times in the latest build, and each time it has frozen me. The only solution was to log out. My weapons will sometimes decide that they don't want to fire when I tell them to, as well as melee combat being very poor at the moment. Trying to melee with a zombie is almost impossible for me at least. I cannot pull certain weapons into my hands using the hotbar. I got into a fight with other players in Berezino and I was heavilly desyncing with them , they were literally teleporting around, some of them floating on the ground instead of doing a running animation. I ran to safety and then my legs randomly broke and I started bleeding. I guess one of them hit my desyncing player who was several seconds behind my client.So yes, Is it just me getting all of the above, consistently on stable? It's unplayable right now for me, so I'm going to lay off until next patch. thanks, Forrell -

I'll give it a bash. On a side note, has anyone been able to play both Stable and Experimental servers, using only the Experimental build? I'm not sure if this is intended, but I have been able to do so. -

I get exactly where you are coming from. This is the first time since December that I've been feeling that I should just take a break while the issues are resolved. I Just wasn't having much fun tonight at all. The issues in my list were just happening over and over. -
This is brilliant. This is now the largest camoflaged backpack you can get ingame. Excellent!

I quite like this. Fuelling vehicles will be a risky venture, a bandit clan could be waiting to destroy the pumps, or ambush any player nearby. I always welcome new gameplay elements.

Oh I got this: On the mod I was playing Vanilla chernarus with a few friends. We found a smashed up bus in Elektro that only had one wheel and needed near enough everything fixed to run again. We spent a good four hours running as far as the factory in the north, everywhere in Elektro and the nearby areas trying to get all the parts. After a painfully long amount of time , we got it fuelled and fixed and ready to go. We decided to drive to Cherno and then NWAF in search of other vehicles. Except we didn't make it through Cherno. There is a bridge at the start of Elektro - which we refer to as 'bouncy bridge'. We call it this because it fucks up any ATV that goes on it and sends it flying for absolutely no reason at all. As expected, there are two ATV's glitched inside the bridge construction. I decide it is a good idea to ram them out of the way. The only problem is, they both exploded and destroyed out bus, killing everyone. It was a sad day, and many rage quits were had.

What Weapons Warrant Being Hyper-Rare and/or Regulated?

Heavy Marksman Rifles, DMR's and High-Caliber Snipers should be regulated - and their ammo types might even only spawn with the weapon and nowhere else. This would prevent people having stockpiles of ammo for a weapon that is unlikely to spawn, and help keep other loot in check. Same for Light Machine Guns and squad automatic type weapons. insane firepower , at the expense of only having a couple drums/boxes. I like to imagine that these types of weapons should only appear at US or NATO Crash sites/bases and would be extremely limited in Chernarus. You could even have regulated civillian loot such as captured WW2 weapons and items. We don't just need to have guns, you could have Medals, parade uniforms and old gasmasks. -
I completely understand the concerns - many of my friends have also stopped playing for the same reasons. We will see more zombies soon, Experimental right now is testing 64 bit servers, which opens up many possibilities.Vehicles are currently in development. I'm actually optimistic, that we may see the first ones before Christmas of this year.Zombie combat: this gets better every patch - the latest experimental build partially has fixed zombies running through walls, and makes a better experience.More Players: There has also been a 100 player server in testing.Persistent servers: Tents are going in the internal testing build and the latest tweet from rocket said they might make Experimental this week!Basebuilding: Later this year, I imagine we will start hearing about this. I think it's fair to say that this is probably not coming until 2015. Add in all the new weapons, items and small changes (sounds, bug fixes, functions, changes to existing things ) and there is actually quite a lot of things getting done right now! It's fair to be disappointed with the current progress of the game, but there is a lot of things getting done. Hang in there!

These servers should not exist. There's your problem right there. You cannot make rules that deviate from how the game is intended to be played. I understand that some people want to just play loot/friendship simulator 2014, however, playing with absolutely no threat of death is just plain boring. Interacting with other players should always be a risk, for positive or negative - that is DayZ. -
came here to say this. I still see M4's every day in Stable, and they sure as hell aren't getting phased out with the helicopters being bugged.

I think it makes more sense to tackle the problem from its source, and not the output environment. You could ban thousands of legitimate players (myself included) who have stumbled upon a hacked magazine, and been curious, decided to keep it, or throw it away. Instead, It would be better to just patch up the loophole that is allowing players to do the exploit.

Ability to Store any weapon in a backpack

This is a good trick for carrying two weapons. But you will drop the weapon in your hands on the ground everytime you do pretty much anything. - Climbing ladders. - Eating Food/Bandaging/Using any other Item. - Trying to use the hotbar at all. -
not a bad idea, but If we're going to start throwing more WW2 items in the game, I think Soviet stuff would be much more likely. We already have the Mosin, but why not old Soviet uniforms, gasmasks and helmets? TT-33, PPSH, Nagant Revolver, F1 Grenades .. etc etc. I like the idea of adding semi-rare vintage gear, but I think it's much more likely to see soviet ww2 items in a soviet-themed country. I personally wouldn't argue against a rare Kar98 spawn though.. after the war , many of them were captured in bulk by the Russians and kept in storage, being shipped worldwide. I don't think its so farfetched that the fictional Chernarus could potentially have these in small numbers.

We all want vehicles as much as the next dayz player.. The team has been busy with other core aspects of the game such as the basic framework, first we had the modular inventory, network bubble, then later physics, navmesh, ragdoll. When they are added, Vehicles will be functionally, one of the most important aspects of DayZ, along with persistant storage, then after that Barricading. There are a million complications that slow down a development aspect such as this. How will the network bubble respond to a helicopter loading in a team of eight players all at the same time, flying into another players bubble? How will vehicles react with the newly implemented Physics engine? What significance does the Modular inventory system have for vehicles? My point here, is that these questions need to be answered long before development of vehicles even begins. That is why the development of vehicles has started so long after the launch of the Alpha back in December. This expands on to my next point: If anything I think that it is a good sign that Vehicles have recently been announced as being started. It means that many of the other behind the scenes things are nearing a close and we are ready to start seeing more functionality and content. Tents (and other persistent storage types) are being added to the game soon and that will make for a different experience. I understand the concern, I can't wait for Vehicles either, but nobody will be able to say anything other than - 'you have to just wait'. We'll be getting pretty substantial update to Stable soon, and I think this will be enough to tide many of us over for a while. Tl:DR; You have to construct a building from the bottom up, without the foundations at the bottom, the floors at the top would not exist. Other things in the Alpha development have been required to be completed in order to even let vehicles be an option at this stage. -

I'd be lying if I didn't say I liked the old one, however, I have no doubt that the current is just a work in progress, like many of the weapons.
