What's the current hacking status like in DayZ:SA?

This is getting pretty insane with the hacks. People are able to take all your gear while you're still alive at a distance now. It happened to me and a friend. Others can move around at super fast speeds, go through walls and are impossible to kill. The hacks are getting out of control. I know it's an alpha but it's crazy.

500 second wait timer? Rant @ devs

This is dumb and it doesn't happen. As they'd have to log out wait the 250 seconds, run to your location, log off that empty server, log back into the other server and wait another 250 seconds. It's just not worth it and 250 was too much anyway. Now it's 500? just do double hop the server to kill one guy? You know how dumb this is right and how nobody does this?

500 second wait timer? Rant @ devs

I completely agree. The game is going in the wrong direction with every patch. They are just annoying the user base more and more. 500 second wait timer. Nerfed axe and screwed up axe mechanic. Super fast lunging zombies. Lagged out hitboxes that don't register kill shots or shots at all. People continue to get shot as they're bleeding out still able to shoot you, meanwhile 1 shot into me from any gun and "You're dead.". I don't know why they keep putting in negative changes like this. I know it's an alpha, but why screw with the axe mechanic that used to work perfectly, it used to hit right where your cross-hair was and 1 hit zombies, now you have to sit there and hit them up to 20 times for them to die. This is just dumb, try taking a hit from an axe in real life, it won't take more than one to put you down fast.

Allow players to choose approximate spawning area.

Talking to you is like talking to the wall next to me. You're just as intelligent and your responses are just as good. Go back to your "walking simlulator" you call DayZ. I think you have some new paths you have not explored yet. BRB I'm gonna go kill some "friendlies", but first I have to handcuff them and feed them alcohol tincture and rotten fruit. It's better when they die slowly. I hope I run into you on a PVP server sometime, I'll show you what this game is all about. I probably wouldn't run into you though.. you're too busy changing your tampon in the woods.

Actually PVPing all the time is where all the adrenaline is at. Avoiding it is where it's not. I don't get an adrenaline rush looting an empty server. I don't know about you. I was being sarcastic about the berries since it's all this other guy wants to do apparently. He can't grow a pair and PVP, it's "too risky" and "too scary" for him. The game is PVP for a reason, each player decides on their own what they want out of the game. I'm simply requesting a feature that would make the game better for me personally. I don't see how it would change it for anyone else. Right now the game decides where everyone spawns, adding a feature to let people decide where they spawn won't hurt or change the game for the worse, there is plenty of space for everyone it's a 225 square km map. Any majorly populated server has a lot of PVP fighting going on. Despite some players not liking this or wanting this, it's what's happening and I enjoy it, and it will continue to be this way. That's what makes the game good, everyone does what they want, otherwise it would be as boring as any other single player non PVP AI only game that I won't touch.

Nah I just want you to go back into the DayZ wilderness and pick berries to survive and find new water streams to drink from.

Broken legs in the ocean no respawn?

Obviously a new/better way needs to be implemented to reset your character if you're having problems. If two people are experiencing the same exact issue and are stuck and unable to play the game, either the gaming company needs tech support to manually reset it or a new way for you to reset your character needs to be implemented in game.

Your sarcasm is hilarious, however if this game lost it's PvP factor all the money being poured into it would vanish and it would only have a few 'niche' players like you playing it. Like it or not the success of the game comes from the PvP portion more than you like to admit. I want to survive and fight other intelligent human beings. That's why I enjoy the game. I guess you just want to go around whacking AI zombies all day.. sounds like lots of fun!

You want to disrupt or annoy PvPers in a game where real players play vs. each other and survive. If you want to play a zombie game go play Left 4 Dead, why are you so anti-PvP on a game where PvP is clearly a lot of fun? What is the struggle here with exactly? People that want to survive know about the PvP hotspot areas and avoid them if they want, or they can go fight if they choose to. What do you really want from this game? To fight zombies and find more food/water to keep surviving? That doesn't sound like a lot of fun to me. I like playing vs. other humans not AI.

That's the thing. The spots are not random in the middle of nowhere. They're always at the coast on the road. They're never in the center of the map or up deep in the North. It's always the same spawns on the coastal road. This also creates fresh spawn hunters, who do nothing but camp these popular spawn points to do nothing but mess with fresh spawns or kill fresh spawns.

Allow players to choose approximate spawning area.

That's the thing. People might go to these areas. You actually don't know that nobody will go to the unexplored areas. Some people want PvP others want survival and exploration. Not everyone knows right off the bat that all the action is at Elektro. Some people that have not seen all of the map might choose to spawn at a North quadrant to check out the huge North airfield. You can't say nobody would do it, you can't speak for everyone.

Allow players to choose approximate spawning area.

I never said this was BF or CoD, I'm simply suggesting a feature that I think many players would enjoy, despite others here disagreeing with it. The way people gear up on this game is by server hopping to fresh unlooted servers to get loot anyway. You can easily go to an empty server with no risk and gear up without fear. If the devs wanted full realism then they'd do something like what most other games do where there are a couple of central servers that are controlled by the gaming company and you have no choice of server hopping and your character is always on a fully populated server. This would make the realism go to the next level, as you have no option to server hop on empty servers to get all the loot you need at low risk. I don't think anyone wants that. If anyone can go to an empty server and loot and then spawn into a populated server to fight, doesn't this remove the 'realism' portion of it for you? What is so real about looting a bountiful server full of loot with nothing but AI zombies to fight and no real human beings? Most people gear up then go PvP. What I'm saying is give us a way to spawn near looting or fighting points so we don't spend hours walking around areas with no action or no good loot. If what you like to do is walk around different areas and play it like a survival game, then really you will try to survive and not get killed and so you won't have a big issue with this feature anyway. Even if this doesn't work out for everyone, they could leave the old way of Respawning in there without choosing where to spawn, you could press a Respawn Default button and it will do it the exact same way as it does it right now.
  13. As most of you know, the majority of people that play the game on large PVP servers want to spawn somewhere near Elektro, that is where most of the good fights go down. Why not split up the map into quadrants and players can choose where to spawn when they initially log into a server, or after dying and clicking Respawn. This will create more activity all over the map, because players will choose to spawn themselves in areas they have not explored. It will also allow for easy/close re-spawning to hot zones of action and prevent all the dead/suicided bodies we all see on a PVP server. Everyone I know just wants to suicide to get a closer Elektro spawn to keep fighting on PVP servers, why not just let us pick the Elektro quadrant spawn and spawn us randomly near the area we want to be at.
  14. Hey thanks. I was just trying to follow the rules on this forum thread. It says to wait in one of the help needed rooms. I didn't want to barge in on something. Thanks for getting back to me.
  15. Has anyone actually received help? I stopped by their TS waited in a need help room for like 45 minutes, with 6 people from their team sitting in an open channel and nobody bothered to talk to me or try to help me. I understand this is free and doing it for fun, but... I even changed my name in TS to RavenousSix-Broken-Leg-Elektro.
