How to to make my pc more suitable for gaming
blunce replied to Raveman's topic in Technology/Programming
lol dude how can you make such a bold statement? At the moment I run all of my games at ultra settings with the exception of a few at very high (obviously the more graphically intense ones). Secondly, you don't even know what video games I play, & "many years to come" is a very vague statement & also, very subjective. I'm more than pleased with what I've built for myself. It's not a dick-measuring contest. Let's be realistic. -
all hardcore players on stable right now should be ashamed of yourself....

Anyone else think DayZ should switch engines?
blunce replied to SomeCallMeNomad (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
Correct me if I'm wrong (& I very much mean that, I could be horribly wrong), but now that the DayZ engine has been rewritten & deemed this new "Enfusion" engine, this essentially means that the source code that was supposedly leaked not too long ago is now absolutely useless to anyone that may possess it, no? -
Hicks specifically said their intent is to push to stable during maintenance (Wednesday) assuming that everything goes according to plan: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/199565-reddit-hicks-206-on-looks-like-the-rubberbanding-fix-will-be-on-monday/

WHY are the big buildings not big?
blunce replied to Shrub Rocketeer ™'s topic in General Discussion
You don't have to yell. & I meant geographically & architecturally. For what it's worth, I will continue to compare Chernaraus to the Czech Republic. -
This topic has appeared on countless occasions & has been beaten to death. If you want my input, here it is: *ahem* (clears throat) No.

Triple negative?

I personally wouldn't want to see any kind of health point indicator. The tools that we're given ATM is more than enough, along side the character messages in the bottom left. & I love the realism of it too. As far as getting one-hit killed goes, I believe this is a bug. If you were in perfect health at the time of being it, most likely a bug. I will agree that the melee needs tweaking, but that's a given. It's being worked on as we speak. Patience, my friend.

How to to make my pc more suitable for gaming
blunce replied to Raveman's topic in Technology/Programming
I really wouldn't know, the only experience I have is building one myself. I was really thinking in regards to budget, & I also figured almost anything would be better than Raveman's current rig. Building one yourself & choosing your own parts would obviously be the more ideal scenario for that price range, but I also figured that not everyone is interested in building a PC on their own. Raveman, if you're literate, can follow directions, & have patience, you should have no trouble building your own rig. You'll also be much more happy with the end result & can be proud of yourself having built a PC :D It just doesn't make too much sense putting good parts into a PC that just isn't optimal. That would be like trying to put a Corvette engine in a Yugo (maybe not the best analogy but I hope you see my point). -

This is pretty much the answer to this post. Also, Chernaraus is based on the Czech Republic. Watch this video, & you'll see exactly how Chernaraus came to be: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLhCNEpcPO4 -
How to to make my pc more suitable for gaming
blunce replied to Raveman's topic in Technology/Programming
Yes, most definitely not. When I built my rig I spent roughly $700 including keyboard & mouse which was just a generic logitech setup for $20. I also didn't buy an operating system as I already had one. You can see my sig for my current setup. The only thing that I've upgraded since building my PC is my graphics card. I was offered a crazy deal for a brand new GTX760 for only $75, which would replace my GTX580. Ultimately, I would suggest buying a pre-built gaming PC for roughly $400-$500, & just upgrade it periodically. My PC as is will last me many years to come. -
I experienced this a couple weeks back as well on exp. My advice to you would simply be to just join a different server & play on that one for a bit. Should fix itself. I think that it's due to desync, but don't quote me on that.
-
Yes, correct.

No, they shouldn't. They spend time & effort optimizing, ok good. Add new content, no longer optimized. It's only logical to optimize once all content is added.

Possible 3rd person exploit "fix" suggestion
blunce replied to TEST_SUBJECT_83's topic in Suggestions
Play hardcore. There's your "fix". -
AFAIK, putting children into any shooting genre is very much frowned upon. I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Try "Recruitment" sub-forum.

I personally think horses would be awesome to see in game. Even if the first implementation of them was just another animal to hunt, while the devs worked on domesticating them & riding them for a later update.

Remove or change NEAF and Balota. One military airfield is already enough. Too much military.
blunce replied to St. Jimmy's topic in Suggestions
I was skeptical when reading the title, but after giving it a little bit of thought I like it. I would want to keep NWAF the way it is, & change NEAF & Bolota to more "civilian-esc" styled airfields. -
Roy, sorry to trouble you .. But could you please for the life of me, show me how to create the "spoiler" button? PM me? :D

Great piece of work
