In all fairness, I personally feel that the world would see an increase in suicide rates in the event of an actual zombie apocolypse. Very very depressing times.

I experienced a very similar issue last night as well & would not put it past us possibly having been on the same server .. I was at NWAF looting the fire station, when a guy, as you described, teleported every few meters & was moving exceptionally fast to the front door of the fire station. He stood there, fired a bunch of rounds at me at a rapid pace, thankfully missed, & moved out of sight. Like yourself, I looked through the wall to see where he may be. He was standing right outside & he could see me through the wall without even standing near it. He was pointing at me, making gestures, making me well aware that he was aware of my exact position. There would be times where I lost sight of him, but upon regaining a visual, he would see me through the wall, & reposition himself. While he moved he was exceptionally fast, & his character would stutter or "teleport" every couple of meters. After defending myself in the firestation for about an hour (no exaggeration), & having lost sight of him for close to 20 minutes now, I decided I would take my chances & log out. I did so, changed servers, fresh spawn. He was watching me through the wall the whole time. As soon as he saw I logged, he came in & shot me. For what it's worth, he was full military, caucasion, black ballistic helmet, black cargos, black UK assult vest, black tac. shirt. I snapped a picture of the player list although I assume it won't do much. :( Would you happen to know what server you were on at the time? -
M4s use to spawn there.

My biggest DayZ shame? That would be having to kill others for not being cooperative. Every encounter I have, I try to allow everyone to walk away unharmed. I make sure the encounter is under MY control especially when I'm the one who sees others first. A prime example: Me & 2 others in my squad were patrolling the Novo town hall upon the rooftop. 2 survivors, mid-geared, start to approach from the opposite end of the courtyard towards town hall. Once the 2 survivors are within range (they were just below us inspecting the police car that's located just under the right over-hang of the town hall) we attempt to engage in conversation without revealing our position. The moment we start to say hello, they start looking around, being unresponsive. One guy keeps his mosin on his back, while the other guy pulls out his SKS. Now keep in mind that all 3 guys in my squad are equipped with Mosins & long range scopes, & we've had our sites trained on them this entire time. So, now that one of the contacts has his SKS drawn, the 3 of us keep repeating "Put your gun away! Put your gun away!". Still, unaware of our position, they let out no response & continue to look around as we keep demanding one of them to put away the weapon. He starts to turn in our direction, & starts to look up the town hall. At that point, Mister Gold of our squad says "Take him out" & all 3 of us put at least one Mosin round into the contact with the SKS. I pull back my bolt to load a second round, & fire at the second contact, hitting him in the neck as the rest of my squad fires upon him as well. Miraculously, he was only knocked unconscious. 2 of us descend from the roof to analyze the bodies. Contact with the SKS has no pulse & is warm to the touch. Upon discovering that the second contact was still alive, we bandage & disarm him. Once he regains consciousness, he tells us that the 2 had met up only moments before encountering us, & that he agrees that his new friend shouldn't have drawn a weapon. We apologize to him that things had to go down the way that they did, but we had no choice. We sympathize for his fallen commrade, & we offer some food & water as condolences, & send him on his way.

Why do you insist on putting in large cities?

For what it's worth, this isn't the first report I've seen on golden magazines.

If you look at the road map, "hostile animals" are already in the making. I'm assuming bears & wolves are already well on their way. Hopefully along with mountain lions ;)

The AMOUNT of sway is bugged, right? Not the sway in general? Because I personally like the sway.

Too difficult/frustrating in the beginning?

I should have said this to my ex-girlfriend -
bug or not, I love the new weapon sway.

I've personally never had a problem with DayZ's sun. Have you guys ever tried staring at the sun IRL..? It's much easier to do in DayZ lol Godrays probably could use some tweaking though. If they left it as is come release day I wouldn't have a problem with it.

Yesterday me & 3 buddies all put at least one Mosin round into someone that wasn't very cooperative with us yesterday. I personally hit him in the neck. He was only knocked unconscious. We then bandaged him, disarmed him, & sent him on his way. Point being yes; damage seems to be quite random.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but at the moment, the only difference between Hardcore & Regular is the camera perspective, right? I've been thinking about this to myself lately & wanted to address the community about it & hear some opinions. Speaking in regard to the game's finished state, what will seperate Hardcore from Regular other than the camera perspective? I personally would like to see Hardcore give the true, dedicated, DayZ fans the experience that they really thrive for. Because I myself, only play Hardcore. My reason for doing so is obviously the "3PP: Off". To me, it's more immersive, requires more tactic, more planning, forces you to be more aware of your surroundings, & the obvious one: the realism that it offers. But what more will Hardcore have to offer in the future to make it legitimately "Hardcore"? Ultimately, I would just like hardcore to be as difficult as possible in all aspects. Rarer loot (especially food & ammo)Increased bullet damageExtremely difficult zombiesDecreased staminaDecreased healthMore prone to diseaseLack of animals to huntetc.I could make a list that would go on forever but again, my point really is that I want to be challenged. I want to be worried that I may not find food on certain days. I want to be paranoid when it starts raining. I want to struggle to build a fire when it's cold out. I want to act in desperation. I want to be punished for my mistakes & for being unprepared. I want to survive, not live. Because as of right now, I'm living pretty luxuriously given that there's quite an abundance of canned foods throughout Chernaraus, & water sources that pose no threat of contamination. I very much understand that this is alpha, & we're smack dab in the middle of development. So again, I'm speaking in regard to the game's finished state. Every feature that I've listed will obviously be found in Regular, but in Hardcore, I would like to see the difficulty level skyrocket. All my life I've been a gamer, & any game that I've played, I've set to the highest difficulty setting possible. There should ultimately NEVER be that feeling of "end-game" accomplishment. Less than 1% of the survivors should be living like kings. Those who deserve it by overcoming such difficult tasks. Regular mode should obviously pose challenges as well, but to the more casual player. Where loot spawns a little more frequently. You're more resiliant to damage. Maybe you don't need to eat as much, as frequently. Animals are a little bit easier to come across. Ammo isn't as scarce. Things like that. This concept could essentially provide 4 modes: Regular: 3PP: OnRegular: 3PP: OffHardcore: 3PP: OnHardcore: 3PP: OffThis would cater to those who like the 3PP: On, but can still have the benefits of playing a more challenging game. Let's make "Hardcore" really really hardcore. Thoughts?

The community is already going to split once private hives are in, like a few others have already said. The intent isn't to purposely split the community, the intent is to give everyone something that they enjoy, & have the best experience possible. Regardless, splitting a community of 2,000,000+ into four gamemodes really isn't of concern to me.
