I have roughly 340 hours & have yet to see a single hacked mag. I've had ONE encounter with someone that I was sure was hacking (& I consider every other possibility first before I even think about making such a claim) & even he didn't have a hacked mag. Only speed hack / looking through walls. For what it's worth, I strictly play hardcore.

Not yet. I'm not sure of whether or not I want to post the server info on here. I'd like to minimize the amount of "unwelcome guests" that want to show up just to shoot everyone & ruin a good time. I have this same exact issue. Menu text seems to be "stretched" just a tad bit. & I'm also experiencing the same issue with the black border around the green "DayZ" background image when joining a server. Not exactly game-breaking, just a bit of a nuisance. Everything else looks fine (i.e. field of view, resolution, textures, etc.)

This is true. My logic on the direct chat idea was that not everyone would always be within proximity & people could utilize text chat as well. But it looks like kichilron has got us covered :D

I know this wasn't directed at me, but I spent about $605 for my current set up. Not including an operating system, as I already had one. Also, I bought my graphics card for a deal that I couldn't refuse. $75 cash, brand new. See sig. You can build a PC for roughly $500 that will excel far beyond your laptop. You can easily get an operating system as well if you know what you're doing.

Definitely a possibility. My only concern is TS getting all sorts of comm chatter that turns into one big cluster & nobody can hear themselves think. lol Maybe we can use it for informational purposes? & once people get to the meeting point they can then use to direct chat to communicate with others. Do the questions of the quiz have a theme? (i.e. DayZ related)? Only asking out of curiosity :) Unless you'd rather keep that to yourself until meeting time. I've already got a few flares in my bag. Will definitely keep an eye out for a gas lamp or two. Can you believe after 300+ hours I've never lit one? lol
