    PM73 RAK

I've been finding Makarovs in stable, but haven't found neither ammo nor a mag.

Would you want working streetlights at night in cities?

I was thinking something like this. Basically repairing a city generator just as you would a vehicle.

    M4 ATTACHMENTS

You are the first poster I have ever seen to have typed so many exclamation points that the post generated a scroll bar to view them. :beans: & all my attachments are mine, you can't have them. :P

    Cannabalism

I'm down for cannibalism in game, but it should come with the risk of developing diseases such as Kuru or BSE.
  7. I forget where I saw it, but you can no longer attach the bipod because there is no rail system on the mosin.

    Insane stuttering in citys!

Far from it. I made the swap & instantly noticed a performance increase. The 5 series is just outdated at this point. Regardless, how does my old graphics card compared to my new one help this conversation whatsoever?

    Insane stuttering in citys!

I wouldn't think it's your graphics card OP, I use to run DayZ on a GTX580 just fine. As others have stated, it might be your RAM?

    So...after 8 months...

Haha, one can only hope man!
  12. The only way to be sure to exact vengeance would be to kill every single DayZ player ever. :D ever.

    So...after 8 months...

Well, more than half of the human body is made of water. :) I very much agree. Both head & neck injuries most likely. & I'm sure such incidents consist of the elderly more often than not. I just figured that if we're gonna chase the realism factor like a greased up pig, I might as well toss a few realism curveballs of my own. ;)

    So...after 8 months...

I wouldn't deem it "unfair", but the devs obviously have their priorities set. They're also the ones with the extensive programming & video game design knowledge. I imagine that fall damage at this point in development is fairly low priority. Can we discuss how we would like to see it in the finished state? Sure. Should we try to have it addressed in the next patch? I personally don't believe that's necessary. The devs know far better than we do. EDIT: god..DAMN do I look good as a red-head.

    So...after 8 months...

There are reports of people's parachutes failing while skydiving & living after impact. There are also reports of people tripping over a curb & dying.

    Hmmm (Zombie Path Finding Talk)

Hey I hear you man, but any progress is good. :) I was actually more immersed the first time playing the patch. I watched zombies find a path as they chased me, giving me more time to think & maneuver. & on multiple occasions I was forced to use my gun & what little ammo I had to defend myself, where as before I was just hacking zombies with my axe like a walk in the park. Zs are in greater numbers too. But ultimately, you & I are 2 different people. I see good things in the future & I think the game's finished state will pertain to you more. :)

    Hmmm (Zombie Path Finding Talk)

I've definitely witnessed zombies still going through walls, but what I've seen more of, is them going through doors. & whenever they do go through a wall, it's right next to the door, in my experience. It still beats them B-lining from 200m+ through a picket fence, brick wall, another picket fence, a chain-link fence, & then through the wall of your building hands down. In all fairness we were never promised a "fix" (not saying you implied that we were) but rather an improvement. So really I expected it. That being said, it is a HUGE improvement in my opinion. Yes, more works obviously needs to be done, but again, it's expected. Still early alpha. (Yes I know that you know.) The team is making good progress! & for what it's worth .. I'm confident that this thread will get merged with the Post Z Feedback lol

Is the update as bad as everyone says?

Regardless, everything you're speaking out of is personal experience, which is the theme of my argument nonetheless. I'm only explaining myself because you had addressed me in the first place, as if my OP was directed towards you. Which it wasn't, & more so directed at the general community. But I don't wanna lose my pom-poms :(
  19. Vex, I love you.. But being the realism-junky that I am, I would prefer to not see it.

Is the update as bad as everyone says?

While I generally agree, it needs to be done in a constructive manner. & it is definitely not uncommon to see unconstructive, incoherent opinions on current day game mechanics. There's a difference between stating "OMG fix these f****** controls now Rocket this s*** sucks", & "I don't favor the new gameplay controls & I feel that improvements can be made in these fields. Let me explain why, in depth..". People NEED to get "use to" the controls, so that they can fully experience their functionality, rather than saying that they dislike them & they're not an improvement, but rather a step backwards simply because someone is not use to them yet. Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but it's how you PRESENT that opinion, if you want to be taken the least bit serious. This is where constructive criticism is important. People don't explain why they don't like it, other than it being foreign & new. With the exception of those who actually do provide constructive feedback. At what point did I tell YOU that it's simply a matter of getting use to? I was responding to the OP who asked for our opinion on the new patch that HE HAS YET TO EVEN TEST FOR HIMSELF. Therefore, I told him It's a matter of getting use to it so that he could gather a legitimate opinion for himself, & then even provide his own feedback just as I'm doing now. This is all the more reason to get use to the controls. They're constantly changing. & how can you even begin to express a legitimate opinion if you haven't even fully experienced all of the mechanics first-handedly for yourself? Whether it be past, current, or future mechanics? If that's your logic, you might as well just put down the game until Beta, when things aren't always "changing". & all of those people have decided that the new controls are unfavorable because they've gotten use to the controls & tested them for themselves, correct? Otherwise their opinion is irrelevant. Overall, I was saying people need to get use to controls in the sense that they can fully experience their functionality. Not in a "that's just how it is, deal with it, get use to it" sense. Off topic.. Is that me on the right as the red-headed cheerleader? lol
  21. So after a good hefty session on the .47 patch, playing on hardcore, I'll have to say.. GREAT improvements to Zombie behavior overall. They're actually using doors now! :D Melee hit registration does seem to be a bit off, resulting in melee being more difficult, but this is good. Just a bit of fine-tuning & There were times where it was NECESSARY to use my gun to defend myself from zombies. Which to me, is a HUGE step in the right direction. I had both a .45 & an M4. Both of which have ammo that is not easy to come by at the moment. It got to the point where I said to myself "Ok, my ammo is depleting, I need to choose my shots wisely". With the latest zombie update, DayZ is starting to feel more like a GAME, & not like a clunky joyride. With zombies being the theme of this game (I know we can sometimes forget that), things are just becoming more fluid & polished. Please, DayZ community, don't complain that zombies are becoming too hard whether it be the game's current state & it's minimal optimization, your skill, or any other temporary conditions. Let's appreciate the improvements & the good things we're starting to see.

    He's referring to the UAZs.

Is the update as bad as everyone says?

This commmunity makes everything seem worse than it actually is.. As someone else already stated, it's just a matter of getting use to it. Controls feel good to me. Yes, different, but good.
