I thought so too. It didn't take long to comprehend that you're unclear of what "alpha" means. The things that you're asking for not only cater to YOUR vision of how the game should be created, but are all subject to change at a moments notice. Not to mention that everything you've already mentioned has been brought up & suggested countless times. Again, everything that you've suggested is how YOU feel it's intended to be. Regardless, you're already experiencing a handful of in-game mechanics as the devs "intend" them to be. Ultimately, you're asking for a finished product. Which DayZ in it's current state, is not. The only thing that I've derived from this post is "this needs to be changed now". Here's my opinion: No, it does not. We're in alpha stages. We're suppose to be testing, regardless of how many people simply play it for enjoyment & don't view this as a testing/developmental period. The devs already have their roadmap laid out. You know just as well as I do that you can play the game as you see fit once we reach beta status. Don't try to rush things simply because what you have at the moment isn't your cup of tea. Okay, let's say the devs do this. The following week they add a new weapon & a new food model. Now nobody can find the new items & both testing & bug-fixing suffer & are now rolling at a snails pace. Devs combat this by now drastically increasing both food & weapon spawns so the players can find them more easily & test them. Why would the devs work ass-backwards & make all of that extra work for themselves? At that rate this game will never reach the state that you want it to in a timely manner. The direction that this game is going in is not a reflection of the finished product whatsoever. Not even close. How can we properly experience survival when people are dropping like flies due to server desync? The devs are working on much more important matters at hand to even begin to try to tighten this game up to even barely reflect what it's intended to be come release date. I personally have a very minimal amount of programming knowledge but I know for a fact that the devs are working on FAR more than what meets the average DayZ player's eye. If they tried to explain coding to you I'm sure you would be left dumbfounded. I would. This is why I say that you don't understand what alpha means. Was this intelligent enough for you? Anyone can make redundant posts regarding subjects that they have limited knowledge about. & wouldn't consider it a cheap shot. It was just an easier response compared to this post. My momma tells me I'm special

No, you don't.

POLL: What if DayZ was made by a different company?
blunce replied to The Aquatic Land Walrus's topic in General Discussion
If DayZ were made by a different company, then it wouldn't be DayZ. Simple as that. Would look, feel, & play entirely different. & this topic wouldn't exist considering we're on the DayZ forums ;) For what it's worth I didn't vote. I feel it's redundant. -

The only thing that's kept playstation on my radar is TLoU. Incredible game.

A complete wipe of the stable hive is inbound. But as soon as tomorrow? Unlikely.

TLDRAlphaGame in it's current state is not a reflection of the finished product. If in-game content were so scarce, we wouldn't be able to test.Zombie difficulty is rather subjective.I could make a list that goes on & on. There are many threads much like yours. My best advice is to enjoy what you have now, or come back during beta. In the end, DayZ is still a game. BTW welcome to the forums :)

Hunting backpack. Allows me to look over my shoulder, it's camouflaged, & provides the most slots along with those 2 assets.

IMO, there should be so much content that it would be virtually impossible to achieve the "end-game". Because essentially, as long as you're alive, you've already achieved the end-game. After all, it is all about survival.

Well of course, I haven't lost my conscience entirely yet lol  I perceived this as Bigbadchuck asking us how we viewed him. & I was responding saying that our opinion really doesn't matter in such a world. If it's a matter of morals, then yes you're very right. :) OP is good-hearted considering his approach.

In a post-apocalyptic world, who's gonna tell you what you can & can't do?

Will devs manage to bring new patch to stable by the end of August? [POLL]
blunce replied to kakysas666's topic in General Discussion
Well I wouldn't take it that far. I made my comment based on the extremely minimal amount of video game development knowledge that I have. The devs (the one's with the extensive programming knowledge) will push the patch when they deem it ready. I can't even begin to have an opinion. How do I know what circumstances they're facing? Does it really make a difference if the patch comes out September 1st as apposed to August 31st? Or does that not qualify as "end of the month"? My faith is that BI will do their job, & give us a finished product in X amount of days. They've done an incredible job thus far & in a timely manner. Just let them do their job. I just personally feel that such a topic is redundant. I'm sorry if you disagree. -
This^. Also, if you can remember what server you were on, frequent it a lot. Most players/clans have a few servers that they favor. So more likely than not, they'll be back on there again I would think. Little story of my own: I once met a cool dude at the shipwreck. We chatted for a bit, & both intended on going to NEAF, so we decided to travel together. Made small talk along the way, & eventually made our way to Krasno. As we entered the city, we started taking fire, & retreated into a piano house. We went upstairs & watched the staircase, waiting for our attackers approach. We kept communication at this point to a minimum, because we hadn't exchanged info yet, were talking in-game VOIP, & didn't want the shooters to hear us. All-in-all, our attackers killed both of us inside the piano house. As a fresh spawn I traveled the cost for a bit, searching for my newly-befriended diseased homie with no luck & I logged off for the night. Logged back on the next day, in the same server, & happened to come across my friend from the shipwreck. Once we realized that we knew eachother from the day before, we exchanged info & laughed about the whole matter for the rest of the day while looting. We still roll together to this day. Anything is possible.

Do you think the LRS will be removed from Mosin when...
blunce replied to TheWizard14's topic in General Discussion
This is actually a very good point, Roy. I think it would make perfect sense to remove the LRS from the Mosin (for both gameplay & "realism" purposes), & then add the LRS to the Blaze rifle. Especially considering that they both take the same ammo. This way, when players are deciding which gun to roll with (between the Mosin & Blaze), they'll need to consider which caters to their play style more effectively. Would the player rather have the higher-capacity, less dispersive Mosin in sacrifice for not being able to use a LRS? Or would the player favor the LRS on the Blaze rifle although it is has more dispersion, & holds fewer rounds? I think it would be a great change for the game. Weapons overall IMO would be more "balanced". We would see the Blaze getting much more use in-game, & the Mosin a bit less. Now I'm no weapons expert, but I did see some forum members on here mention that you CAN mount a LRS to a Mosin with the proper modification. To my understanding, a custom scope mount is needed in order to accomplish this? So why not add such an attachment in game? & maybe the tools needed to mount said scope mount? This would make players need to go through that many more steps to get the LRS onto their Mosin. If I'm wrong, someone who is more knowledgeable please correct me. Same goes with the dispersion of both the Blaze rifle & Mosin. To my understanding the Mosin is a bit more accurate? But again, someone correct me if I'm wrong. -
Why does OP have 3 Olive High Cap. Vests lol. & to my understanding, everything is getting wiped including the tents themselves, so Chernaraus won't look like this after .49:

I shot a guy & he became a vegetable. Didn't eat him though. We need cannibalism.

Who gives a s***? The patch will be ready when it's ready. -
For what it's worth, you can jump out the window of the small cabin building. Go in through the front door, take a left into the bedroom, & climb out the big window right above the bed in there. It's great if you're ever being chased. Let your pursuers follow you in there, hop out the window & leave them in a "da fuq just happen¿" state of mind :)

Go out like a boss! Time to start looking for some trouble ;)
