AMD 8320 8 Core 3.5 GHz chose it for the price at the time, ended up doing a pure AMD build with components designed to run with AMD products

What should be the civilian 5.56 rifle ?
buddhistsoldier (DayZ) replied to gibonez's topic in General Discussion
mini-14 would be the go to 223 rifle damn near anywhere in the US, im not quite sure about elsewhere, but it was THE .223 rifle to get a few years ago, many competitive shooters use one, or a .22 LR -
Change the M4A1 sound when shooting.
buddhistsoldier (DayZ) replied to ThatBritshGuy's topic in Suggestions
not entirely true, it has barely any more kick than a .22 rifle, ive personally fired thousands of rounds through one in my time in the army, i barely felt it, a fair kick would be closer to 7.62 rifles, such as the AK series, it is a fairly quiet rifle as well, comparatively, more of a pop crack sorta sound. that being said, i still prefer the M16/M4 series over the AKs any day -

Am I also the victim of unstability?

im running a pretty similar system to you and only my internet speed holds me back, running DSL, without fiber optics in my area. it could very well be some background programs running, or the 4 less cores vs my current build that you are dealing with, i honestly dont know what little fixes you could do, i just had to tweak my settings a bit for 60+ FPS in the wilderness, 75 is the highest ive gotten so far, 35-40 in cities usually -
I could go either way with this, Im quite happy with the game in its current state, but then again, I have a few friends that die quite often, so we're always doing something, or dieing while trying to save another team mate. the professions could be useful, without the skill points in my opinion, you select a profession when you make a character and from then on, thats what your guy can do, be it mechanic, soldier, builder, survivalist, etc. I would be happy either way honestly

Will my PSU run this set up
buddhistsoldier (DayZ) replied to doctorbadsign's topic in Technology/Programming
You also have to consider power draw from other components, such as USB headset, mouse/keyboard, cd/dvd drive, etc. with that said, you should be alright, but may run into issues when under load, PSUs have been known to shut off when they exceed 80% of their rated capacity. Which, if my math is correct, would be 320 Watts for that PSU. In the end, its up to you, and how much you are willing to spend. I prefer to overshoot my power usage for more wiggle room, and an overall quieter system, a PSU running at 70% capacity will have higher fan speeds, and as a result, more noise than one running at say 30% or 40% I am currently running a Kingwin 750W to power a AMD 8320 and a Radeon R7 260 with very little noise. under heavy load I usually approach around 420W of usage -
Buying a gaming PC!
buddhistsoldier (DayZ) replied to xXx_RainbowDash_xXx's topic in Technology/Programming
at first glance, yes you wont get the best FPS, but we're not talking about a gaming machine, that laptop should be able to run it, on medium-low settings -
correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly sure it is a 1911 not 1191 but otherwise, good video, gives a nice recap

buddhistsoldier (DayZ) replied to Meenos's topic in General Discussion
30 hours 3-4 kills 1 was a friend who couldnt get out of handcuffs, asked me to kill him 3 unconfirmed kills at an airfield, saw 3 snipers in the top of the air tower as me and my friend were providing overwatch for our team, all 3 went down but the bodies were never found. -
