    Are you sure DayZ is the right game for you? Why don't you get "Pulling The Wings Off Flies 2 (Supreme Commander Edition)" or "Puppy Drowning Simulator" instead? I'm sure you'd be much happier.

    Are you being deliberately stupid, or what? For the third time, I will state - and I'm going to add some emphasis just so you can see the pertinent part - in damp and wet conditions, badly maintained weapons will begin to rust in a matter of hours. Has that got through, or do you need colour and pictures? Properly maintained weapons do not rust, as even someone without the wit to get out of the rain for 14 hours might realise.

    No, I know that in damp and wet conditions, badly maintained weapons will begin to rust in a matter of hours. My experience is not based on standing around in the rain for a few hours on some exercise in Fort Shitsplat, Alaska.

    I do love how most of you assume you're all going to be supersoldiers come the apocalypse. Gonna be tough to do anything with hunger gnawing at your guts because it's 3 days since you ate hot food; everything you own is piss-wet through; your trousers and boots are squelchy-full of cold dysentery; your gun is rusting up and the infected are heading your way once again. Maybe that PvP gunfight in Elektro isn't what you need right now...

    I'd like to see a corresponding upgrade to vehicle physics - i.e. the first time one of these player-built technicals rolls over a bump, we have the gratifying sight of broken axles and blown shocks, with a diminishing shower of sparks as it grinds to a halt out in the open. And now you can't un-weld your mounted DShK because you didn't bring the gear and all those people are shooting at you. Oh, yeah. Totally badass.

    So I see, please accept my apology. I had similar issues to you when using Steam or DayZ Commander and launcher fixed it. Deleting the Steam game cache might have helped too...
