It would validate your assertion that DayZ long-range shooting is just like CoD. You don't have to do better, just match it. How hard can it be?
-
Probably because you're not making a point, just a noise. I've told you what you need to do.
-
I'm not taking offence, spud - it's amusing watching you waft in here and airily pronounce how long range shooting is unrealistic and cartoonish, and when put to it you start getting all snarky. In truth, I find it incredible you can post in here over a thousand times and still be that full of shit.
-
Oh, I'm sure you're right about everything and your forthcoming long-range shooting demonstration will show everyone how easy and cartoonish it all is.
-
I ranged the barn with the rangefinder. Bullet drop was compensated for. Barrel sway was about right for a prone shot. Debrief told me the 2nd shot took him in the left shoulder, which seems about right too. I suppose the lack of flies and sweat dripping down my face also made it "unrealistic". And that rock wasn't the best shooting platform, and I think i might have a blister forming after tabbing across from Staroye to meet these jokers. I wonder what's for dinner? Steaks and kvass again, I'll bet. If not the game is obviously "unrealistic". I didn't learn to shoot on a computer and I'm happy enough that there are currently enough elements to make long-range shooting viable without being "cartoonish". I certainly don't want to see it nerfed into a myriad of range tables and grain counts just to satisfy they unnatural anal-retentive urges of the forum's quivering gun nuts. Feel free to post some footage of your 700m+ point and click shots to illustrate your cartoon argument. Better yet, a live feed of you showing us how it's all to easy would be great. You know - put up or shut up?

Any of you guys wonder what time period dayz is in.

I can cover the whole town from the factory roof, as well as the milbase and the west piano house. You'll never be safe again. Enjoy your Pipsi: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/216361-dont-do-this/

That creepy fucker who used to hang around Vybor, cutting down trees and looking at the sky is no more. I popped him whilst he was drinking pop. Rejoice and reclaim your town.

I'm old and I suck at it so I play on empty servers.

In deference to your advanced years (you're only a few months older than me) I'd politely suggest it's always a better day for someone else to die. -
Looking for: private shard, 1st person, EU based server to call home.

Sure they do, but they do it whilst sharing a few cans of kvass and a zucchini... -

It's a good place to be - the community is growing fast! Well done Van and the team for their continuing hard work. :beans: :beans: :beans:

Spread over a 5m area...

I've played on the USC servers with a few of the guys and can recommend them. Van was particularly helpful and we had an interesting chat while looting Cherno the other night. I'll be on a bit more regularly from now on. :beans: :beans: :beans:

Zeds aren't OP - you're UP. Get some time in and get some skills, fella. That's how it works. -
Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)
AlphaDogMeat . replied to SmashT's topic in General Discussion
How about you get just better at the game? Look at the advantages: 1. No devs needed. 2. No meetings at BI to discuss how to nerf the zeds for n00bs. 3. You spend more time playing and less time whingeing in the forums. Everybody wins. -

So what you're really saying is "To The Guy That Killed Me at NWAF..."
