Just a tip for anyone who gets a spawn on the Svetlo highway up north - the scrapyard to the east of Chernaya Polana is full of useful loot. Fully kitted out my newspawn buddy last night with a shotgun, several backpacks (kept finding ever larger ones), pickaxe, clothing with more pockets plus food and drink. Some items spawn under the vehicles so you might have to spam the tab key when standing close to them. Just as well, 'cause the town had been gutted...

I want the game to not be all about sniping, MOAR GUNS!!!11LOL!!!, KoS and PvP deathmatch. Survival isn't just about counting the bodies and I don't want those who think it is to feel that they're pushing against an open door in their quest to steer SA in that direction. I recognise, however, that anyone who's bought the game has the right to play like a dick or any other way they choose. That said, this forum isn't the game, so I feel at liberty to object to proposals which I feel are likely to promulgate the spread of dickishness, in the hope that even my small voice is heard amongst the squeaking and wheezing of the fat kids. I will concede that my chosen medium of protest - sarcasm and interpretive dance - may not be to everyone's liking. But I also have to stop the pendulum swinging too far in the other direction, and so if it prevents me from having to keep a calculator and notebook of windage tables next to my PC whenever I feel like popping the head of a no-good, bean-stealing varmint like an over-ripe melon from 300m, then that's the way it's got to be.
