Oh, nice use of the "made-up figures I pulled out of my arse to lend weight to my argument" card there.

Well, quite. Oh, I don't doubt it would be easy to get around; I just like the idea of an extra level of tension to the gameplay that the uncertainty would bring. After all, you wouldn't know the population of the area IRL - you'd need to ask (or interrogate) others to know the state of an airfied/barracks/town defences. Ghosting, server hopping and combat logging all become high-risk ventures when you don't know what you're spawning into; even if you do consult web sites to check pops you're always going to be well behind the curve of the actual figures. Clan servers? They can keep their players - they'll be too frightened to break out of their little loot farms into a big scary world of uncertainty. They'll end up on an echoing low pop all gunned up with no-one to pewpew or only half can get on the busy servers and get torn to shreds because the sniper team are waiting for enough free slots.

Trust your feelings, Luke.

Provided all you want from the game is a bodycount on rails - and your first sentence implies just that - you're bang on the money.

I wouldn't. I'm Ideas, you need to speak to R&D

The CoD series is more synonymous with poorly-made players.

Lolwut? Surviving is nothing but rewards: Stay alive = keep your loot. Survive encounter = keep their loot. Every meal = a banquet. Every formation = a parade. I love being a survivor.

Finally - a use for newspawns:
-
That is all.

So you've never eaten beans, drunk Pipsi or fired a gun in the game then? I've been forced to do all of those things.

I executed my buddy when he fell off a barn ladder and broke his leg(s). We were miles from civilisation and we had nothing to fix it. I made him kneel and told him to look at the ground. The I put 5 shots in his head, sobbing. I stayed with the body - which bled the whole time until he got back from the beach and took back all his loot. Which was nice.

Which bullets are bigger/do more dmg?

I find the ones that hit the target to be the most effective. Concentrate on that aspect. -
Because it wouldn't be in my backpack. It would be sticking out of your face.

Because if you really loved them, you wouldn't need to ask. You men are all the same.

Why yes, yes he did. Williams' story was the inspiration for James Clavell's Shōgun.

Because thread drift. Don't worry, someone will soon mention there were no female samurai and we'll be back on track.

Mass graves full of hand-holding, PvP codkiddies. And nicer wallpapers.

William Adams (1564 – 1620) would disagree.

When Does The " ALPHA!" Excuse End?
AlphaDogMeat . replied to [email protected]'s topic in General Discussion
Then the answer to your original question is simply: When the criticism stops. BTW, most "constructive criticism" in these forums is generally a euphemism for "Things I personally want - right now - and fuck everyone else.". Thankfully, there are a few shining examples of this not being the case and do you know what? No-one with an opinion worth listening to is playing the alpha card in those discussions. Go figure. Should the SA have been released? Absolutely. Simple statistics alone will tell you that out of the millions who bought it, the hundreds of thousands that have played it, the thousands that are still playing it and the hundreds that aren't entitlementals there are a few people giving solid feedback to the devs in a way that will move the game forward to the next stage and the ones after that. That distillation of observers is what will significantly mould the final form of the game we get. So here's my question to you: Are you doing enough? -

OK, we can have an optional SUSAT for the L1A1. Now say "thank you". -

I want my L1A1. Everything else is just frippery. -
Bambis should spawn with a 1 time use Bicycle to help with trekking.

Good luck on you and your pushbike making the unmolested round trip to the spark plug warehouse in Kamenka, the tyre depot in Svetlojarsk and the distributor distributor in Lopatino so you can get your car in Berezino up and running before it gets stolen. I didn't realise there were actual degree courses in Missing The Point. :emptycan: -

Gravity takes effect as soon as the round leaves the barrel.
