I'd go with "TheLoneQuitter". It has just enough weight and gravitas to let people know they're dealing with someone who doesn't give in without a good blub.

Yesterday I played the Mod after 200 hours of Standalone.

Sounds awful. -
I wouldn't. It would just turn into a instant bitchfest the second they were ID'd as devs.

You are Dead at the N W A F Fire station tower
AlphaDogMeat . replied to Boxer23's topic in General Discussion
Have you considered not going into the tower? Because you have almost certainly been sniped 3 times now, and you don't seem to be learning anything. Just sayin'- 44 replies

Is DayZ being developed right in your opinon?
AlphaDogMeat . replied to leefriendfield's topic in General Discussion
Dear Abby, I think there must be something wrong with me. I don't really care if I don't get an update release every week/day/10 minutes. I read snippets of dev updates and don't post foam-flecked rants about "OMGZ everything is so broken, I wuz robbed of my £20 at SKS-point by Dean Hall personally. WTF?" I also reckon my opinion of how DayZ SA is being developed is utterly irrelevant, so long as I keep testing and posting bug reports where necessary, throwing up reasonable suggestions and shooting down the more ludicrous/insane/childish/weird ones. Is it wrong to think like this? yours, Confused -
I think you'll find all the shouty people here want 60 seconds of god mode because they can't be arsed with all that precaution nonsense. It gets in the way of the looting or something.

Oh, I'd never, ever shoot someone wearing that gear. Or use it to gain trust and advantage before murdering helpless little hobbittses newspawns. We promises, doesn't we, Precious?

Let me be the first to console you on your loss... Bwahahaha. Rule (insert number here) of DayZ SA: Don't get attached to your gear/character.

A Cool Story of Morality (Ep. 2)

Do what you want, mate. Just don't sprinkle it with fairy dust and rainbows and pretend you're "the good guys". -

Everyone got the point of the story - it just wasn't the one you were trying to sell. Now I have one more reason to pop one into those poncy blue hats: "I'm saving people from KoS'sers, you see?". -

KoS story, Bro. -
Yeah, I can see that bad boy taking up 6 slots in your pack because it'll only fit diagonally thanks to the inventory dev with the packing skills of a 4-year-old child. 3 slots for a stick. Really?

I think you erred on the side of caution...

Would you like spawn points spread out?

Discussion on the "Hide body" option
AlphaDogMeat . replied to LortFengerN's topic in General Discussion
If you're not quick enough, you'll find out about realism and immersion in short order... -
Replacement pixels are on back order. There will be x10 more pixels in the 0.45 update. Something to do with artificial pixel price hiking scandal in Taiwan, I hear. If you really can't wait, smaller monitors use less pixels.

Would you want back the reloading sounds when connecting?
AlphaDogMeat . replied to GunnyITA's topic in Suggestions
<Looks at shoes>I may not have been entirely serious engaged with the depth of feeling over this matter when I posted.</Looks at shoes> But if we're going for yodelling, I'll want echoes - especially up in the hills. -
O noes, HackerX is back and installing cheats on peoples PCs! I take it your cousin/friend/little brother is away this weekend?

I'm not trying to start a fight, I'm trying to help you rationalise something you see as a problem. Consider this: I'm running around with a Sporter, mags and ammo (which I got at NWAF because all the decent stuff had already gone) and I find an SKS and ammo in the Vybor police station. I pick up the SKS and ammo, drop all the .22 stuff and pick up the Sporter in my hands and leave. Shortly afterwards, I drop the Sporter in the long grass at the bottom of a garden purely because I don't want the leave the gun and ammo together at the same location. You turn up shortly after and get all bent out of shape because of the .22 gear in a police station, even though there's a perfectly reasonable explanation for it being there. Now it may be that the current spawn table is set up to regard all ammo that requires a mag to be the same [mil_object_loot_ammo] and all mags that require ammo [mil_object_loot_mag] to be a sub-class of [mil_object_loot], and thus spawns both in mil/pol locations. Clearly this isn't right and will be corrected in time, but for now you should just learn to rationalise this stuff and get on with playing without that vein throbbing in your head. Feel free to report it as a bug if you really feel that strongly, but seriously - lighten the fuck up, fella.

Discussion on the "Hide body" option
AlphaDogMeat . replied to LortFengerN's topic in General Discussion
Correct. Denial of resources, as I said. If anyone can think of a faster way in terms of practicality and immersion, let's hear it.
