These people aren't playing DayZ for the experience, or the tension and excitement, they're just playing to 'win'. People relog behind you, disconnect, relocate etc. Rocket needs to get on top of this, no more pandering to people who won't play fair. They're almost on the same level as people who cheat and 'hack'. -

It's amusing how grass is only an obstacle to the person 'hiding' in it. At about 200-300 meters grass disappears completely and anyone proning in a field might as well throw a red smoke grenade.

I seen someone last night who had a fully automatic crossbow, it was pretty funny to be honest. Like 60 arrows stuck in the wall, he eventually killed me (emptied 2 ak mags at him, nothing happened). -
DayZ should become a stand alone game using a different engine.

Having an enfield always makes me run into places and have bad luck.

Enfield is one of the most powerful guns in game. It's 1 hit kill or 1 hit knock out every time.

Sorry Zed, no one cares about facts. They personally, died - therefor there is a problem with PvP in the game. No ammount of cold, hard facts are going to change their minds and stop the constant crying. I think the more the game develops, the more PvP will become incidental to the game. At the moment our group hunts players at the NWAF, there may come a day when a PvP engagement is incidental to our visit there, and not the focus of it. I imagine that'll be when we can contruct our own 'bases' or something along those lines. Until then, the river of tears will continue to flow. -

What I find amazing is the total play time of all players put together....513 years. I don't know if I can even see that as a 'good' thing, we could probably have solved world hunger if we'd put those combined man hours into the effort. -

Sometimes zeds chase you, when they feel like it. I'm really starting to wonder if rocket knows what he's doing, since every update is buggier than the last. Alpha testing blah blah. Yeah, even in alpha stuff normally gets better instead of worse. -
There needs to be a logout timer - simple as. When you hit abort it should have a 30 second (minimum, probably more) timer that starts and you can't logout before it ends. Similarly if you alt + F4 you should stay in game for 60 seconds. Exploiters will claim that this will result in deaths from internet kicks etc. But that's only because they enjoy exploiting ALT + F4, two finger salute. The truth is that it's 2012 and internet connections don't suck anymore. And hell, even if they did, a few deaths (probably less than 1%) from kicks is better than 80% of people abusing exploits that ruin the immersion of the game. I know rocket is working on a solution, I'm just making this thread because I really hope he goes all the way to stop this behaviour. There will be whining, there will be crying, but there will also be more carebears dying and that, I think we can all agree is a good thing.

I just want to log in to DayZ and put some players down, then feast on their beans. Is that too much to ask? server 1 - can't login. server 2, 3, 4 and 5 - the same. server 6 - I can login, but my friends are desyncing all over the place, we leave the server. server 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 - all the same. I wonder if DayZ will always have these horrific desync issues, because frankly, there's no point playing it at the moment. God only knows what the monkeys over at BI think is acceptible for a netcode or if this is an issue with the people hosting. This isn't really a consequence of 1.7.2, since it's always been desyncy as fuck. All the 'feature' updates need to be put on the back burner until this garbage is fixed.

Yes, it's really this patch that's made it worse. It's not my computer/100MB internet. It's dayz, and I refuse to believe most other people don't have the same problem. The only way you wouldnt notice is if you're on you're own. -
Basically, when I kill another player I feel like I'm absorbing their energy, their essence if you will. It really goes beyond roleplaying, since I actually believe I am getting some energy from it. Each time I put another player down I feel a sudden 'rush' of energy, like their spirit coming into mine. And as I kill more players I literally grow stronger and stronger. If I go a long period of time without killing another player I do feel like I'm growing weaker though, my energy is sapped. It's sort of like the film 'highlander'... and there can be only one. Except it's an addiction, now I need to kill more and more players to get the same 'rush' as I used to from 1 or 2. Now if I don't manage to kill at least 5 people each time I login I get really frustrated. Since the update has caused so many desync issues I think I'll take a few days off DayZ to try to get it under control.
