    I honestly believe that it could be 4-5 years before we see a full release of the game with the current rate. We've had 3 patches in about 12 months now, And in them patches the game hasn't really progressed a great deal. There is still a lot of fleshing out that needs doing as at the moment there really isn't much to do! I'm sure the devs are doing everything they can to try and speed things up but it certainly does make you wonder if we will ever see a full release.

    'during the Wednesday maintenance period this week we will be switching servers over to the legacy placeholder loot spawning system' Does this mean we are going back to the old loot system for a bit, when all loot respawns on server resets?

    I don't play that much, usually only half an hour a night, and since 0.55 I have spent pretty much every night trying to get some gear and had no luck at all. Theres only so many times you can spend ages clicking an apple tree then die anyway before you start to get bored and lose interest. At least now I can fire up my server when I play, explore chernarus, kill some zombies and not have to resort to server hopping and making it more difficult for others!

    I just gave up in the end and bought my own server, much easier and I can actually enjoy the game now. Must have died about 15 times in a row as a new spawn.

    Haha, to be fair, you were my man and I messed up and let you kill one of my squadies before I could get my gun out to kill you. There was four of us and the plan was to take a guard each, kill the rest of the traders before they knew what hit them, and then wait for the rest of the guards to run in. We will be seeing you on saturday ;)

    I agree that zombies should have been made a bit better, and there should have been more. I think once they fix the zombie animations (only hitting you once when you see the animation, not three times) they will be okay as long as they revert back to the time when an axe to the head is one shot kill. It's not realistic having to hit them with an axe 5 times before they die.

    I once gave someone food, drink, a pistol and ammo to a guy who claimed he was new to the game. 1 minute later I am a new spawn. I'll never make that mistake again.

    I finally found an M4A1 at a heli crash after what seemed like eternity trying to find one. Only trouble is I don't have a mag for it and haven't seen one in weeks. I was just wondering if anyone had a spare one they could maybe give me/trade. Thanks

    I was browsing games on steam and came accross Day Z and it looked impressive and very different to the games I usually play. I have never played any Zombie or Survival game before. So to cut a long story short, I bought it and it is currently downloading. After browsing around the forums and on the internet i was a bit worried I might struggle getting used to everything without getting killed every 5 minutes. I was kind of hoping if someone could adopt me, meet me in game where ever I start and teach me the basics, help me find loot and generally look after me as I tend to get frustrated with games when they are too hard and don't end up playing them :D

    I had a quick play around to get used to the controlls etc, I came across this guy in a house, he was quite helpful and explained a few things to me, until a group of idiots came along and blew the crap out of us. I tried again solo but I just have no idea where to go and end up getting killed by hunger or by zombies. I am from the UK so it is 1:15 AM here and I am off to bed, However I will be on tommorow, If anyone of you can give me a hand tommorow add me on steam, my name is jordantangerine, it would be greatly appreciated :)
