  1. Amen about the accuracy, although "standard" PU scope and mount should of course be allowed. I'd also suggest they add a longer range PU mount 1 inch scope that falls somewhere inbetween the LRS and PU magnification. Here are some examples.
  2. Once we have "persistant objects", this issue will sort itself out. I'm sure there will be plenty of bags from dead players filled with some loot laying around lots of different servers.
  3. I think the disappointing part is that we're not going to have different types of ammo within a particular ammo family... While subsonic rounds may be fun at some level, I was really hoping to see rare match grade bullets make it in... As for the technical reason, I'm a little bit confused... Does Chris mean that you would have to have a specific magazine for a specific ammo type? Or that only one type of ammo could be loaded into any given mag?

    Exactly what c.o. wolf said... Dayz zombies are not your cliche walking undead crap, they are infected people... Think of 28 days later... To be a bit more blunt... Not a good idea, does not fit within the story of the game at all.

    A plate carrier, as well as some form of Kevlar ballistic vest would be great. Not exactly sure what plate carriers are standard or commonly used by the army, however I'm sure someone who speaks the language or is more local can easily figure that out.

    This part makes me sad... I really hope that what's in game atm is not considered "as close to their real-world counterparts as possible". If what's in game is considered "realistic" in the eyes of the devs, we are all in for some rather significant disappointments.

    KoS or Human Nature?

    I'd hardly call it "human nature" more like gamer nature when playing a video game. Regardless, I do agree with you... The vast majority of "bambies" or fresh spawns killed have kos's, and would probably kos if the tables were turned. Surviving is all about mitigating risks, and managing risk vs reward. Sometimes killing someone even though they are not actively shooting at you is the safest option.
  11. Currently the mosin is quite a bit more accurate than the b95... This certainly makes no sense considering hammer forged "floating" barrels of MUCH MUCH higher quality on the b95. If the game is trying to emulate relative performance differences between firearms in a realistic manner, the accuracy of the b95 and the mosin should at the very least be swapped.

    I'm not for any kind of trip wire, pressure plate, or proxy bombs... The only "traps" that should be triggered in such a way are warning flares. The more "offensive" traps should all be remote detonated or timers via player control.

  14. This is a really unfair comment... These guys are working their butts off almost every day, many of them even come in to work on the weekends and in their free time...
  15. Worst zombies? That's hard to say, especially considering I've not dealt with zombies in their "building" stage in any other game... However, if I HAD to treat what's in game as a finished never going to change implementation, I'd say they are some of the worst. Regardless though, the topic is kind of pointless... Zombies are going to change... The staff knows that the spawning mechanics atm are stupid, they also know that their AI is painfully lackluster as well. Give it another 5 months and then come back and ask this question.

    Reporting server abuse

    The whole report process needs to be streamlined and the dev's need to take more responsibility imo... Like you, I've been reporting as many violations as possible, however unlike you, I've not seen action taken against a single one of these reported servers... I think your 53% is actually a best case scenario, which is sadly saying allot about the incompetence of the current process.

    SV-99 sniper rifle (Russia )

    Variety is the spice of life my friend. The two weapons also function slightly differently as well. 10/22 is semi auto and will not be capable of of being suppressed, sv-99 is strait bolt and of course can be suppressed. Even though these two weapons will obviously be rather similar due to their size and the ammunition they use, there is still niche differences between them which imo easily warrants the addition some where way down the road.

    Well if I had to be specific about how exactly I'd like a m4a1 and system that allows for modular upgrades ect implemented... I'd first start by defining the characteristics which directly effect weapon accuracy. These would include, Quality level of the weapon, Quality level of the barrel (new attachment), Type of barrel, quality of the ammo, and the type of ammo. This would mean that the only things that effects the cone of fire of the weapon (mechanical accuracy) are these specific components... In essence, a pristine m4a1 with pristine 75-77gr match ammo (new), and a pristine 16" 1/7 stainless lined match barrel ( also new) should be shooting right around 1 moa groups at 100m. In contrast, a badly damaged m4a1 with badly damaged m855 rounds (5.56 green tip), and a badly damaged 14.5" mil spec 1/7 barrel could be shooting 25+moa groups at 100m. The other components, such as grips and stocks should only effect "weapon handling". This would mean sway rate (how fast it sways), sway distance (how far it sways), felt recoil (how far/fast as well as where the muzzle moves after firing), and speed (how fast you're weapon transitions between ready states, as well as how fast you can take out or put away a weapon). Simply as a "For the sake of argument" example, all pristine m4a1 with pristine "precision" components, bipod + prone, as well as being rested and healthy/energized/hydrated should result in very little weapon sway and very little muzzle climb/recoil. Standing with badly damaged components should result in a lot of movement in terms of both sway and recoil, which in turns makes placing accurate shots at long range extremely difficult. Edit: Match barrel would have a weapon handling penalty compared to 14.5 mil spec (longer and heavier), regardless of quality level. Quality level of optics should determine how aligned or zeroed the sights are. The severity of the misalignment should be determined by the quality level, the direction the misalignment is in should be random. Pristine optics should be more or less dead on with the aim point of the gun, badly damaged or ruined should be way off.

    1. Weapon sway 2. Recoil 3. Weight 4. Weapon "Speed", or how fast your weapon transitions from the "down" to "up" positions. As well as how fast you can put away or take out a weapon... These are just some basic examples of ways attachments could effect "handling" within the game w/o using excessive cone of fire mechanics...

    New weapons AS "Val" Please

    Nothing wrong with an ever increasing variety of weapons... This weapon will be very effective, especially in built up urban areas once wall glitch looking is removed. My vote goes to adding it, as a rare spawn though of course.
