So you compared it to cod because people shoot at eachother on sight? You're point being questioned has nothing to do with irish not "peeping outside of dayz for a bit", and everything with the simple fact that your anology is rubish...

Nice, op is a server hopper, gets killed by a "server hopper" then comes and rages on the forums about how he hates server hoppers. I have something for you OP, I hope it helps.

I agree, a rapid fade in or out would certainly be more visually appealing than the "popping" as shown in the video.

I know it's a script, and I know that it's not official dayz dev team material, I also know that there is no guarantee that this will be added, however the presence of a moderator starting a thread specifically sourcing this "fix" video is certainly a step in the right direction.

This is the private hive solution that is imo, the only "True" fix. This would also solve the "Ghosting" problem that seems to be getting more and more common as well. -
This is certainly a step in the right direction and it's refreshing to see a mod post about an issue that is of grave concern to many members of the community.

Just have the majority of "Good loot" have varying delayed spawn time (minimum of 15 min, max of like 2-3 hours) after a server restarts... That alone will outright kill the majority of server hopping. -
IF we're on this CZ kick (I love the look of CZ rifles) why not introduce a "Competitor" to the ruger 10/22, however it's bolt action and has a threaded barrel. Check this puppy out. CZ 455 Tacticool, threaded barrel, .22lr, integral "dove tail" sights (according to web site)

I guess "loosely" it does... Realistically the Mosin should not be able to mount the current "Long range scope" in the game w/o some form of a stacker mount. I'd personally like to see the long range scope removed from the Mosin once another long range bolt action rifle capable of fitting it is introduced... The cz550, not only is a great firearm, but also perfectly fits the location the current map takes place in. Here are some pics! Varmint Tacticool, heavy barrel, no iron sights, .308 Medium Lux, European Style stock, iron sights, 7mm Rem Magnum I'd rather see the Medium lux, simply because it's going to be using ammo that is not shared with large numbers of other guns that will eventually be introduced.

I'm pretty sure we will see things like this during the beta content pushes. Variations in age, hair color/type, as well as facial hair are all great ideas that the vast majority of people are sure to get on board with.

I believe dayz zombies are not your average undead walking dead style zombies, but instead infected humans. They are more like 28 days later zombies, which are essentially super rabid humans. P.S. If I'm wrong on the style "zombie" in dayz, please correct me.

No one in their right mind would ever want to be shot... Regardless if you're wearing protection or not... This also is a discussion about the stopping power of a .22lr, not about if people would like to be shot by one or not... The reality is that a Kevlar NIJ IIIa helmet would eat large numbers of .22lr before failure. They are completely capable of defeating a .44 magnum at point blank range, although head trauma from energy transfer is pretty much guaranteed as they can produce close to 2,000 joules. 141 joules though? As previously stated, that's significantly less than an average punch...

141 j is far less than your average punch... Boxers and martial artists are recorded at well over 1000 Js.... While potentially lethal, a .22 lr should NOT knock you on your ass nor would it come even close to "knocking you out" if you were hit in a ballistic helmet...

No doubt, can't agree with this more... Btw, the ballistic helmet we have in game is a NIJ lvl IIIa helmet... This means that it's capable of defeating up to .44 magnum rounds, Super sonic .22lr rounds are considered a NIJ lvl1 threat. Hell, the .357 magnum is rated as a nij lvl II threat.

I think what's even more ridiculous, is that you're knocking people down who are wearing ballistic helmets completely capable of defeating large numbers of HV .22 lr rounds... Now consider that the Amphiban drops the speed of those HV supersonic rounds to well under the speed of sound and it gets even more absurd... Now Maybe you actually hit the dude in the face, or the back of the neck, or the helmet was not "pristine"... But a .22lr fired from either a 10/22 or the mkII Amphiban should be completely unable to penetrate the composite ballistic helmets seen in game. The amount of energy transfer from the .22lr round to a persons head through the helmet would also not be enough to cause any form of serious "Concussive" injury as well... Now if you hit someone in the head, and not the helmet, their brain should be turned to jello resulting in an obvious kill.

I've not tested it on the experimental builds, but depending on what type of .22lr ammo we get in game, the rounds should be supersonic coming out of the 10/22, and subsonic coming out of the Amphibia S. The vast majority of .22 lr ammo available is only subsonic when fired from a short barrel (like 5inches or less), or fired through a suppressor.
