  1. TheDarkKnight (DayZ)

    Starting kit + cycles

I agree with your first remark, as I forgot to include your idea of getting less accurate and clumsy, or have the colors fade. However, I have been playing this game before i registered on the forum, so no worries I am quite familiar with how the game works. I'm just a bit frustrated with the new kit that is all. I really think if they want to take away the starting pistol they should at least give us some sort of weapon. Myself, as a person who loves this mod I am not letting go yet, others however, may just stop playing the game out of frustration. It was quite a risky move from the Dev Team in my opinion.
  2. TheDarkKnight (DayZ)

    Starting kit + cycles

I honestly aimed to not start my first post with a suggestion, I was honestly reluctant not to. However, due to recent changes I find it vital to express my opinion of changes that should take place in the game on this forum. Firstly, seeing that the day and night cycle is realistic to the point where it is the perfect equivalent to the real life day and night cycle. I would like to see the hunger/thirst meter last a bit longer seeing that this mod is supposedly putting in account an average human's capability of surviving for a complete day. Other than having it last a bit longer, you shouldn't die from thirst or hunger if the meter is flashing red, seeing that a normal human should be able to last at least three days without food or water. I understand that this is just to keep things going, and to keep the balance between the realism and it being a video game. Still, I think the developer should look closer into this specific issue. Finally, I have noticed that the new starting kit includes the following (bandage, painkillers, flashlight). Honestly, kudos to you Dev team for realism and for being unforgiving. However, this is just pushing it a bit, it was already difficult enough for us with just a pistol and a water bottle and canned beans. Now, I've reached the point where I can't do anything anymore, I mean let's get real here. If I alert a zombie, (which is very common for most of us) what am I supposed to do? Smack it to death with my flashlight? If you are willing to make things this realistic, then I suggest adding melee weapons such as sticks or practically anything i can find on the floor to at least defend myself. That is really all, and this is nothing but my opinion. You are free to agree to disagree with me, but I'm just putting out that this game has become increasingly impossible to even play with the starting kit change.
