I wish. What I started doing, and yes this is quite evil, is taking the second firearm / weapon into my hands, and dropping it in a near by forest :) lol You can however, put the weapon into your inventory, or have someone else do it, and shoot it. (Only works for smaller weapons)

You can wipe it. As a matter of fact, if you have another computer, with steam installed (same account), your character will be there. In other words, your character is much like a roaming profile. :)

Character names are very dynamic, making this a larger issue. An admin would have to be there to match the name and the IP, 24/7. (Assuming that they will even allow us to match those two values) The player that has killed you can easily quit, change his name, and rejoin.

If that is what he means, that would take camouflage right out of the question.

Maybe on private hives; This should not be an option on public servers.

It might be a good idea if the server can at least tell what player killed what player. That way, the server admin can at least monitor what is happening.

Is there any documentation that outlines what the mod / development community will have the ability to perform, or how they can interact with the game? People in this community seem to bend words. If you are tracking your own stats that also means leaderboards, especially to the sadist trolls above. None the less, I can agree with your comment. I would like to see how many beans I ate in a life, or how many times I was shot and had to use a bandage. Why? Well, is it wrong to track my own progress? no. If I own a private server, and only my clan plays on it, is it wrong to become a little competitive and compare stats? Of course not.

That is silly. Of course they should be in a game. Using a sniper in DayZ, especially at a range, is quite challenging anyway.

I support this, partially. I do not think that they should be able to make them any more powerful, just because they are powerful enough at the moment. However, they should be construable by finding different parts. This could lead to a development of a trading system in game.
