[Making guns a much more in-depth factor]

Every 2nd chop has an m4, they are way too easy to get. I think that the m4, mosin and f&x are customisable enough, time could rather be spent on the new guns or other important aspects such as the cooking system. At the end of the day the game isn't a "who has the coolest gun deathmatch", it's about survival.

I see what you are getting at, but now people will not only suicide to get a better spawn location, they would possibly do it to spawn with ammo, can opener etc.

I see the point that you are trying to make but the game can't be 100% realistic. Having to find a scope to shoot at further distances adds another dynamic to the game. Also the m4 can kill someone fast if you shoot them where it counts.

Nooo! You're only new and completely lost in DayZ once, and IMO that's when the game's at its best.

 

Just know that loot only respawns when the servers restart so if you want to find food to get yourself started then you're gonna have to get off the coast where everyone spawns as those towns will have been looted already. And to load a Mosin you need to drag the rounds onto the rifle in your inventory.

i shot two people who must have been together on team chat

just unloaded both barrels into them

 

they wre running in the open in elektro and went into the church.

one ran past me and didnt see me standing in the open and the other went inside without checking out anything.

i just caught them slippin and had to regulate

 

Sometimes you have to shoot people to teach them a lesson. One does not simply stroll casually into elektro.  By killing them now you are saving them time. 

 

I got ambushed at Elektro docks last night. 4 guys had set up a perfect ambush and they took us all out. I thought that no one in their right mind would fire at 8 people... I was wrong... Now I will never make that mistake again and will probably become a better dayz player because of it.

I'm sure at least 75% of the people that KoS do it because they would rather shoot first than be killed. 

If I step around a corner and a guy has his weapon drawn I will more than likely shoot him

 

If I had to answer the second question, which I don't really want to, I would have to say that being good at the game would be decided by your assessing of the situation and knowing whether or not to shoot first. There are times where negotiations and friendships aren't possible and shooting first is the only way to survive.

 

After all it is a survival game, if you get KoS'd it's because you have played poorly or made an error in judgement.

 

Should they be ashamed of themselves? ... no, it's a game and they probably enjoyed it.

 

KoS is part of the game. Get used to it because it will never go away.

I dont regret it, paid £20 and had over 300 hours of game time.  That's around about 0.06p an hour great value and if I walk away from it now still got my monies worth.

Unless they have an m4 and loads of ammo your chances of running and surviving are quite high. Hitting someone that is running "full retard" is not the easiest thing to do.

Vybor! Crazy amounts of possible places for guns to spawn. Plus Veresnik & NWAF are right there. Plus the coastal rapists are at the coast.

29$ for a game that has given me 300 hours of pure enjoyment, I see no reason to complain. The game will still only get better before it is(if it is) abandoned. I'v paid triple that for games that have given only a couple hours game play. I don't see a problem here at all...
