  1. ^^ Yes, well said Serpentello. The thing is, most folks will: 1) Not read your post as it has too many words. Probably the same crew who didn't read the head's up warning. 2) Read it quickly and forget your salient points. Probably the same crew who skimmed through the head's up warning. 3) keep on complaining 'cuz that's what they do best. Sarcasm unintentional. :P

    Vigilante Justice in Elektro

 Here's some food for the road ahead. :beans:
  3. Try spamming V. That worked for me in two other, different glitch traps I was in. Good luck.
  4. Ich glaube, dass es eine neue Entwicklung ist. Hoffentlich. :D
  5. I don't think that's what they're about at all. If they only wanted your cash, they wouldn't have added the warnings. We had plenty head's up about DayZ SA being pre-Alpha. Did you read my post about money-whores like Sega above? Just curious. :)

Me and My Buddies Crazy Bloodshed

My policy... I never comply with people who want to rob me. Run, fight, and resign yourself to die. Nine out of ten hold-up crews will kill you anyway after subjecting you to various indignities.
  7. "Fundamental [pedagogic thinking teaches (EDIT) :) ] you that to make someone want to continue and improve you need to put focus on the positive things." Well stated. And I'll stop handing out attaboys lest I seem like an arselicker. lol
  8. I'll pass. :D I really have no interest in personality clashes but your comment struck me as a bit harsh and sort of derailed the discussion. I wouldn't consider myself a fanboy of anything. I'm an adult. I'm good with you if you're good with me, K?
  9. Ich stimme zu. Ich genieße nicht, auf den Foren zu "flaming". Er hatte diese Bemerkungsankunft. :D

    The Sun

    ^ You're right. I hadn't considered that. :)
  11. OK. Maybe you should apply for a Mod position.

    Go North!....or west.

^^ True. I like using my wits to find my way around. But sometimes I need a map and it's a hassle to Tab/alt out to look at my Bookmarked maps. I use DayZDB & DayZHQ (I like the topographical features of HQ).
  13. ^ Well, that's constructive. I thought we were having a discussion. My bad.

    Go North!....or west.

    I know. I have one piece. I'm talking about a key function (M). :)

    Go North!....or west.

"Do we really need 8 maps and is the lack of them keeping players on the coast and do we want people using the cheat map (which they'll do with a lack of maps in game). Maybe they just find running up and down the coast the easy option." @ Jexter. Slightly off-topic idea. I hope we see an in-game map eventually. Maybe something which utilizes a Fog Of War function so you can see only the parts of the map which you've already explored (this can reset per fresh spawning). I don't think it's an unreasonable idea nor should it mess with player immersion--consider it your toon's memory. Thoughts?
  16. I like what you added in your EDIT, sniperdoc. Just wanted to add that... :)

    The Sun

I was on a 24/7 Day server last night and the daylight effect kept switching between day sun and twilight/near dark. Oh well. This too shall pass.

    The Sun

Seems more Southerly lately, yes. Not sure.
  19. What they said up there. Personally, I don't bother with anything so I'm not filling my inventory space with junk. Machete and knife/screwdriver is only good for opening cans if you haven't found a can-opener yet, btw. You can KO a zombie with fists if you're feeling lucky. My tip: avoid any combat until you have an axe at least.

    melee items crafting

Just as long as DayZ doesn't morph into Dead Rising. LOL.
  21. Don't get me wrong. I have loyalty towards the CA people for their Total War series (most of them) and I love Rome II... even as it is. But I haven't played it in two months and that's a shame. It had so much potential. DayZ has the potential and I have faith that they are hard at delivering it in full. Sega, btw, is also one of the few corps that's engaged with the Content ID in YouTube and are being real shits about it. I'll probably be sued by them for my posts here. >rolls eyes< Enuff with my off-topic posts...

    Go North!....or west.

Inland is the way to go. I think the coastal region appeals to many because it's easier not to get lost. About server hopping: I think we all did this at some point--particularly when we're new to the game. (I did that the first few times I played.) But that should stop once a player learns about fair-play.
  23. I can't see any dev from Sega creating a thread where folks can read about changes and what's up and respond. Bohemia & Mr. Hall not only tries to give it's community a voice, they actually listen. Again, Hat's Off!
  24. I say Hat's Off to the whole team. They've been more than fair with us; we all had a choice to go for it or not. If folks want to gripe, they outta send hate mail to Sega (not Creative Assembly) for righteously f*cking up Total War Rome II. Here, give us your hard-earned bucks for a messed up, buggy game and shut the f*ck up, please.
