    Recording DayZ gameplay

Because it doesn't work properly with my rig and sometimes I use more than 3 audio lines. I also frequently change my outputs, and always have trouble mixing usb headset and my analogue soundcard :D Processor is no issue, DayZ only uses 40% max :D

    Recording DayZ gameplay

I use a combination of DXTory and VAC (Virtual Audio Cable). VAC to break up the audiostreams (Game, my voice, mates voice) for ease of editing. Little performance hit, but then it's not like DayZ really taxes my rig, it just doesn't run well :D

Need Help With Graphics Settings (PC Specs)

I'd be very surprised if this game put enough load on a graphics card that recent to cause it to core overheat enough to crash. It's not that. Do you play any other games on PC? Do you get any issues with them if you do? What wattage is your PSU? How up to date are your drivers? The game is alpha enough to just crash, it does on my PC too and I know it only uses about a third of my cards capability. Also, get FRAPS or similar to check framerate if you really want to know it. The xbox1 doesn't run BF4 at a consistent 60FPS so that's no metric to go by.

Yeah, there was a little sarcasm in there :) Next time I'm on I'll give it a good go at full all and see. I'm certain it was though so I don't know what went on there. Still doesn't explain the huge potential left in my rig though.

It's full everything and at 1080. The 80 FPS is by no means a constant btw, it was meant to highlight the variation I can see. I'll do a more thorough investigation next time I play. Just looked before posting and I've found that my settings are not as I recalled :D Everything is full (Textures and Rendering) but the Quality box is low. Odd. Do you think that might explain it? ;)

I'm running an i7 3770k, r9 280x with 8GB RAM. I see sometimes up to 80 in the wild, and as low as 15 in cities. I do often have another monitor running though, and recording software though neither of these appear to have impact either way. According to Moo system monitor the game NEVER uses more than 40% of either my CPU or GPU potential (settings as high as can be). Often less. So I'm guessing there's plenty more optimising to be done. For reference, I play BF4 on Ultra with drops to at worst 50 fps.
