Try picking up all the other loot on the ground around the backpack first, sometimes other loot "overlaps" the backpack and prevents you from picking it up.

This is your first problem, delete your ArmA 2 user profiles and configs and start from scratch. Put all your settings to med or med high. I have a similar rig to yours and I run everything on high settings without any problems. Putting everything on low settings forces ArmA 2 to use your CPU instead of your GPU which is causing alot of unneeded stress on your system. You also may want to verify that you don't have any unneeded programs running in the background, and that "Power Saving" features are disabled, this is more an issue with laptops, but its worth a look. Get rid of all this nonsense, you don't need it. The only thing you may want to use on the startup parameters is: -nosplash -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -mod=@dayz You also may want to double check your BIOS settings and make sure you don't have something set incorrectly that could be causing a bottleneck in your performance. Putting everything on low will actually make the game run slower since it puts more load on the CPU. Try going mid-line on your settings, you could also consider upgrading your hardware. If your dead set on trying to get the ArmA II free graphics, then just install ArmA II free and then install Operation Arrowhead through Steam, there are several guides on the internet, and probably several on the forums. Ask Uncle Google, he may be able to help with that.

Add me on Steam, when I get home from work I'll do what I can to help you. I will likely set up a Mikogo session to assist with making sure you have everything installed correctly. In the mean-time, try the following. 1. Start ArmA II (Not Operation Arrowhead, or "Combined Ops") through Steam, check your files via Steam for missing/corrupted ones. 2. Start Arma II Operation Arrowhead through Steam, do this without any "mods" or beta patches installed. If your not sure, go to your C:\Users\User Name\Documents folder and delete/rename the ArmA 2 folder. This is the folder that contains any settings or changes you have made through the games Options menu. If you are able to launch BOTH ArmA II and ArmA II Operation Arrowhead (OA) SEPERATELY through Steam, without using any "mods" or beta patches, THEN proceed to the next steps. If you CAN NOT get ArmA II to launch then we can trouble shoot that later tonight. 3. After you have verified that both ArmA II and OA work without the beta patches, THEN download and install the latest beta patch from BI. (Google ArmA II Beta and make sure you get it straight from BI, not an external source. The LATEST version will be in the green bar at the top of the beta downloads page.) 4. Verify that you can launch ArmA II: Combined Ops (ArmA II + OA) by using the newly created shortcut on your desktop from installing the beta patch. 5. Download Six Updater and download/apply the latest version of @DayZ. If you want to launch DayZ through Steam you will need to add perform a few additional steps, otherwise use the "beta" shortcut on your desktop, and "activate" the mod. Let me know if any of this helps.

Not true. It's not ethical to use hacked equipment/guns/gear/etc. But you won't get banned unless you were the one running the script/hack to spawn the items.

It looks like one of the config files used by Six Launcher is corrupted. When you uninstall it, make sure you delete the old directory completely. Also check C:\Users\%User Name%\AppData\Roaming and delete any Six Updater related folders, like six-updater & six-zsync. Once you have ALL the old files and folders associated with Six Updater removed and you've rebooted, download a fresh version of the Six installer and try again. Let me know if that helps. -Edit: I forgot to mention that you will need to Show Hidden Files & Folders to navigate to your Windows user AppData folder.

Yeah they did a poor job of portraying actual DayZ game play, but if you go by the old saying "Past performance is indicative of future results" and applied that to their Minecraft videos, are you really that suprised? TL:DR Would you like some cheese with your whine?

If you have Windows 7, use the 'Snipping Tool' to 'snip' the area of the screen that error is on. Otherwise use your PrtScn (Print Screen) key and paste it into MS Paint. I would also suggest grabbing GIMP from http://www.gimp.org, it's a very powerful open source paint program, you can use it to crop your screen shots so your not pasting your whole desktop. I found this post that had the process quoted. Hope that helps in the mean time until we figure out what you did to break Six Updater ;)

^What he said. Learn to use Google Translate... It's really not that hard. In case you dolts didn't know, BIStudios, you know, the guys that made ArmA 2, that game you bought JUST to play DayZ, yeah those guys. They're in the Czech Republic!

Are you able to launch the game normally through Steam or with the beta patch executable? If so, try uninstalling/reinstalling Six Updater, make sure you scan your registry and remove any residual reg keys and reboot your machine before reinstalling. Let me know if that solves your problem.
