This is a bad idea for everyone involved.... 1. How can you legitemately have ownership of that many vehichles and equipment, unless you've locked your server and horded it all before anyone else has had a chance to log in. It just does not sound legit. I'm not accussing you of being a hacker, or breaking the rules set forth by the Devs to ALL hosts, just stating it sounds very "fishy". 2. See point 1. -

I'll be RPing a crazy old man on a roof top with a shotgun in one of the major cities tonight or tomorrow, and after that, maybe a tin can collector.... RPing already exists, and the 'trolls' don't really spoil your fun unless you let them. "GET OFFA MY LAWN YOU HOODLUMS!"

Worst idea ever, these sort of bodily functions don't add anything to the game. Stating they should be implemented for the sake of 'realism' is just foolishness. Like I suggested on the last thread on this very topic, if you want to take a crap in the woods, go do it in real life, and find some poison ivy to wipe with while your at it. Let me know how that works out for ya. Troll on friend, troll on.

If your trying to launch ArmA II + Beta + DayZ through Steam, then you better read this... http://www.dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=9314 Otherwise launch the beta through the executible shortcut on your desktop without Steam, enable DayZ through the Expansions submenu if its not already, then enjoy being murdered. Add me on Steam if you need help or want to team up.

"Unique" solution to discourage DCing to avoid death.

So here I am, sitting at work, talking about my weekend DayZ shenanigans with a co-worker and the topic of DCing during combat to avoid death came up... then it hit me... :idea: When someone DC's to many times within a short period of time....., whether its server hopping for loot, or to avoid death in combat... they should be respawned as a cute, cuddly, little bunny! AND a bunny that can only be killed by another player. No respawn suicide, they can only respawn as a survivor after being shot, gutted, cooked, and eaten. Mmmmmmm, bunny steaks..... Or we could take it a step further, and force them to play as a bunny for an hour or 'logged' game time? :angel: -

Walking around in Elektro, staring at your keyboard, instead of your screen = suicide. Sounds like you were shot, I've been shot and killed before and never heard the actual shot.

Let's get the 'core' DayZ mod polished first. Then the devs can allows servers hosts the option to load other mods like ACE, or even the DLC (enabling more variety of guns, vehichles, etc) and such once DayZ is out of alpha. -

I agree with your thoughts, as long as your intentions are pure, and not trying to create a mule, farmer, etc. But alas,.... there are to many people out there who would abuse the system, and thus, change the dynamics of the way the game is played. In reality, its just a bad idea. If you REALLY want a second character to play solo, buy another copy of the game, install it on a different Windows user profile, (make sure you install the game for 'This User Only').

I bought ArmA X: Anniversary Edition back October. I installed DayZ manually before discovering Six Launcher and everything works fine. No special tricks needed as far as I know. -

6h timer please! 2 Reasons: 1. Prevents daily "Facebook" style refreshing as you mentioned. 2. Opens vehicles up for everyone to enjoy, even "n00bs" like me who have a job, wife, a baby boy, and no spare time to play every day. Off Topic: Now how about turning DCers into bunnys instead of just killing/incapping them?
