  1. I think this could have been discussed already, but couldn't find the right topic. Nowdays we can take endless run, without having our character tired. I realize that adding stamina or fatigue status or such could be a potential gameplay-breaker, as we are forced to move and cover big distances. Anyway, i feel like adding a well balanced fatigue system could add new game perspective, like planning your trips to avoid night, stock food and water before moving for a long trip, etc. I think it could be something like, for example, 10 mins of running capabilities buffer. Once depleted you can only walk, or run crouched. It should regenerate with balanced ratio (no idea about balance atm), something like 1min each 10 mins. So it would take 100 mins to have your full stamina back. This should be strongly related to in-game distances, and how quick we want those distances covered. What is your point of view about this?
  2. Don't think so. Even with bugs and all, that version has more entertaining contents for a new player and it's less of a harsh experience. Idk about player counts though, not joining .62 since a bit. OP try both, if you have a decent connection you can get the thing downloaded in a couple of hours

    I must admit, i wasn't expecting much from .60... but ive got a fair fps improvement, even with my crappy setup, and the game is enjoyable. However, when the rain starts to fall, the fps drop is HUGE. So Please, disable rain until its fixed.

    Well, thanks for sharing guys. However, today was my lucky day. I was playing with a gt520 (max 15 fps on dayz, i believe ~5fps while raining), today a client of mine gave me his old radeon 7850 for free. fps boost, between 25 and 90. I suppose rain will not be a problem for me anymore :/

    No loot in .60

    I'd say that loot is way more scarce than it used to be, i won't say "no loot". Also, I hope it's working as intended, as a survival. Finding more food than you can ever eat, more ammo than you can ever shoot, more weapons that you can ever carry was not funny to me (still i keep finding crazy amounts of weapons in houses, on high pop servers).

    [Opinion] The Value of Base Building?

    All games out there teached us what base building is - huge and ugly places where clans stash godzilion of ammo and stuff. My opinion is that i will probably quit dayz if that kind of base building is added in, because 1) Permadeath concept would be definitely gone 2) Playing alone or in small groups will put you on a huge disadvantage 3) If i understand right what the loot economy is, what will happen when, for example, a huge amount of sks will be stashed in player bases? Would it spawn anymore? I feel base building is not what dayz need.
  11. Didn't read through the all topic, sorry about that. For what matters i'll give you my 2 cents after i've spent 300+ hours in this game. 300+ hours don't make me a vet at all, but i can assure you it's for me the most time i've never put into a videogame. I've had my "fan" moments where everything seemed great, and i've had my "hater" ones where i thought "what the hell are these guys doing, this game is broken". Do i think they will complete this game? Even though i don't care, i think no, they will not complete the game as we all hope / expect. I think so because dayz has been built on outdated technology (whence the need of a new renderer) and it seems like they realized this way too late, i mean why even launch a 0.1 release if you already know the renderer is not suitable for the game puroposes? Seems like there are tech limits that will make this game outdated the day it will eventually launch in 1.0, can you even think, for example, about a game released in 2016 where - you can't jump - you can't enter a building whose entrance is 30cm height, nor vault the smaller of obstacles - you can't hold items in hands without fearing they will disappear - you fear death when walking on rocks or exit a vehicle - desync issues make interactions, melee above all, a pain in the arse - optimization is so low that a server can't handle more than a handful of zombies and cows (i've seen like 3 cows overall) I'm not even mentioning the things i hope to see fixed with this new renderer, nor the survival features this game promised and still lacks (diseases, weather conditions actually affecting character, hunger and thirst being a real fact only for the fist 10mins after spawn) My personal conclusion is as follows: i've put 300 hours into this videogame. I actually had fun, and i still do in its current state. Is this game polish? No, it's still a broken game with lots of unattended promises so far. However, i like it and i do enjoy it anyway, so i accept the fact that this is the game i've bought, and i've had something very close to my expectations. Trust me, i'm no hater and i would like to see it finished, but cant lie myself anymore. Please also note that i don't mean to offend people that is beyond all doubts putting lots of work and effort into this project.

Door on my left was closed, door downstairs opened as you can see, and server was 1pp only. In that position i've been shot to dead. How?
  13. This thing keeps repeating over and over since 0.59. This is what happens: - try to load ammo into a weapon (a proper one, i.e. .357 into a magnum): got the teal item background (swap) instead of the orange one (chamber) - next, i split my ammo stack, say a 40 stack split into 20/20. One of the 20 stacks will fit into the weapon, the other one won't - if i try to merge back the stacks, they wont merge (i got the teal swap background) Another related issue is - chamber a weapon - eject the bullet - the bullet isn't stackable anymore, and you can't chamber it again (see above) Anyone experiencing this? I'm using the old ui. Edit: found this on the tracker https://feedback.dayz.com/view.php?id=28449 That should answer my question i guess.

    Can't remember for sure, but i think it was with 9mm and .22. Early spawn gear anyway.

    I was on the first floor of a house watching a guy in my hunting scope. Downstairs, the main door was closed (not locked). Since i saw him scan the area with binoculars, and he was there just standing in the bushes, chances were that his mate / mates were coming for me, so i was alerted for any sound while aiming at him. All of a sudden ive heard an axe swing and You are dead. There was not the door sound, neither a single footstep. How is that possible? Is there some new sneaky way of opening doors?

    I'm not sure what are you talking about, however if you refer to the single-tap W to have your character "slide" forward multiple times, without footsteps, i've my doubts that's legit. If you found another way ignore my note, but i would private message devs on the tracker to make sure that's a legit way and not an exploit.

    Well, i suppose that if that was a desync issue involving sounds i wouldn't hear the axe swing neither.

  23. Just went on http://feedback.dayzgame.comto file one bug, but i can't find the login anymore. Seems like i'm logged, since i can see the "My account" link, but when i click there i get APPLICATION ERROR #12 This account is protected. You are not allowed to access this until the account protection is lifted. Wtf?
